Technically not Marriage but 9th wedding anniversary. Since their marriage 9 years ago, the artist posts an anniversary pic every year at the beginning of June.

When all these new chapters came out, I only read chapter 7 again and with lots of focus on Nagi and Yuuka in the new chapters, I somehow totally thought that they were the alpha couple and Tsubaki and Hiyori were the beta couple, so when the kiss happened, I thought it was the usual case of the beta couple’s relationship progressing faster than the alpha couple’s… and then I checked the first chapter and realized that Tsubaki and Hiyori were supposed to be the main characters. Alpha couple gets to kiss first? How can you betray my expectations like that, author-san? But we’re getting more yuri than the expected subtext, so it’s all good. :D

Yep, pretty much that. During a vacation with friends, we met a bunch of drunk middle-aged ladies on a train and for some reason that I can’t remember, they tried to guess one of my friend’s age. They were split between “he’s about 18” and “he’s about 24”. You should’ve seen their faces when my friend told them that she was 33. She doesn’t even have a deep voice or anything and doesn’t try to pass as a guy either, but just because she looks and dresses very tomboyishly, the drunkards were convinced she’s a guy and didn’t question that even though all of us were laughing our asses off during the whole happening.

That hug was so cute with Himari leaning into it like that on page 39. That scene was already great by itself, so I’m glad that their first kiss was saved for another time that will without doubt be just as wholesome.
Looks like this series will continue for a while and I hope we’ll get to see more of these two lovebirds, no matter what might be going on around them.

“Idiot couple” is the usual translation for bakappuru, but this tag’s description doesn’t match the common use for bakappuru at all. An idiot couple is a couple that flaunts their lovey-doveyness to the annoyance of anyone around them. It doesn’t mean two stupid characters or Useless Lesbians. :<

Women love sweets and men don’t seems to be a common stereotype in Japan. I remember that coming up in a few genderswap mangas where the male-to-female swapped character enjoys stuffing their face with sweets, which they couldn’t do before.

Asexuality, bisexuality and homosexuality mentioned and used correctly in a comedy manga? Mind blown. Also dat narcissism. And it seems senpai is a healthy girl? This series truly is a gold mine.

It does. From what I’ve read, the most likely cause is that one (or both) of them was adopted and they didn’t grow up together, then meet as adults. Based on the low amount of yearly convictions in my country, I’m guessing that it happens a few hundred times per year worldwide, though the dark figure might be higher because the involved parties might never find out.

I think it would depend on their own opinions on incest, which is of course influenced by the society they live in and their religious believes. If they believe all incest is a sin and must be condemned, I guess they’d probably fall out of love pretty quickly. If they believe that the incestuous relationship itself isn’t the problem (after all, there is no victim in a consensual incestuous relationship that does not meet other criteria like paedophilia or abuse of dependency) and only inbreeding is, they’d probably keep loving each other.

I'd respect the author, if Akira kindly rejects Hime and explains that she's straight, because that kind of has been the portrayal of Akira so far.

We’ve also just learned that Akira might’ve liked the idea of having a crush on a boy because that would’ve made her more like a girl, so maybe she’s not a straight as it seems and everything is possible. I know people like speculating, but I’ll just be waiting for the next chapter and see what happens.

Answering your actual question: No, I wouldn’t say so. It has the kind of subtext that never leads anywhere that’s typical for 4komas with an all-female cast like this one.

Gosh, why can't more manga be like this. No dragging out "will they won't they" for six ****ing years. No ending the moment they get together. No unbelievable, over-acted drama, just two adults who take the time to talk to each other and make each other feel better when they're down. It seems like it's too much to ask for 99% of manga to deliver on depicting a gay relationship in which happiness is present, ever. I really appreciate this one for daring to do so.

Well, “[…] writing a convincing relationship, with genuine depth of character and development, is a much more difficult feat than pouring on the quick-reaction drama and will-they-won't-they […]”, so most authors just go for cheap, established tropes to keep the audience interested.
