I think hookah maybe recently getting some traction in Japan, I've recently started seeing it in manga. One instance being this, another being a random manga on mangadex where some couple went on a date in a antique store and there had a few pots. And another manga with premise about the love interest of the MC working in a Shisha store.

Personally what I like is this isn't a fantasy, I don't have to keep up with ridiculous ass pulls that just makes the protag one up everyone in all situations (mostly with hidden OP magic and shit)
Sure, Ji ends up in advantage most of the times, but it's quite acceptable

Ji still making decisions without exactly knowing what may come next and her actions aren't completely calculated and fullproof (the whole alt account thing and bargaining with her manager thing)

Even more, this doesn't even need to be a regression genre story, since she doesn't go back to their debut past or just before they broke up. This could very well, be a SoL where the main leads self introspect, find their issues, issues in their relationship, and then slowly being to reconcile

This is some next level shit, Nagisa doesn't even know that glasses NPC. I don't even think we ever got a scene with Nagisa's parent being sad or angry about her HS, that alone makes the glasses NPC's overreaction so revolting to look at.
This is some moustache twirling villain level of dumb characterization, except this is just infuriating with no payoff in sight.
We already got a arc with Mashiro feeling guilty that Nagisa couldn't got to her choice of HS because of her, and Nagisa coming to terms with her current situation and now working towards a better Uni. Why even have this tangent?
