The author hasn't drawn anything else since the project went into hiatus, so I'm not sure how "temporary" it really is.

A shame since the new developments could have had promise. I've come to like male friends characters in yuri stories that serve to promote the yuri; it's nice to have media that can promote the idea of man-woman friendship without needing romantic subtext tacked on, and men who support the lesbian relationship while showing that the lead isn't just "lacking a good man". Plus, Dai-chan could have been a way of humanizing Taneda and Hanoka by having the couple accentuate the positive sides of the characters while Dai-chan exposes the negative sides (we know next to nothing about Hanoka at this point).

Since people keep asking about the setting, the author stated the dresses they wear are Thai college uniforms. Given that the author is, himself, Thai, it would stand to reason this is in Thailand.

I don't think Yonu's using an actual manga here. I think Yonu's manga is using The Sun Company in name and visuals only: she changed 日 (sun) to 星 (star); the covers are practically identical (the general layout/font use and the girl on the right is the exact same). I'm also not sure a story like that could exist, unless it's purposefully excessive. Here's the original translation of that bubble to get a better feeling of what this thing might look like:

More or less you have it right, though the Japanese used in this is お星様カンパニー which changes it from the original "The Sun Company" to "The Star Company". The rambling description by Reimu may or may not be an accurate description of the plot of The Sun Company as I've never read it.

Edit: Looking at a quick synopsis of The Sun Company from your link, I'm pretty convinced that Reimu's ramblings have nothing to do with the original's plot.

Looks like both ムーン (Moon) and ミヅキ (Mizuki/美月) are both used in official products, and the Japanese have just come to favor Mizuki.

In page 1, fourth bubble, when the girl that arrived ask if the other girl was waiting for her, she says "だ だめだた?", you translated it as "R... Really?", when it should be translated as "Was it no good?" or something like this, and the other one reply "ううん", that it's a way to say "No", and you translated as "Y-Yes".

In page 2, the girl says "帰ろか", you translated it as "Are you going home?", when it should be "Let's go home", in the same page after the forehead kiss, the other girl says "こちがよかったなー なんて" while pointing to her mouth, you translated it as "That felt... nice... somehow" when it should be "I would prefer it was here... just joking".

You totally changed scenes context, you should do some corrections in this one.
