Agreed. Neither Yuu or Touko are attracted to Saya, and Saya's not to Yuu either. Touko's the tension point, if either Yuu's or Saya's feelings for her became known (and they will in time), she would drift apart from that person. There's no way in hell this is going to turn out poly.

my new prediction is that the play will end with the MC rebuilding her relationships from 0 while finding her identity in the process, rather than picking any 1 out of the 3. For Touko, this will be her rebirth.

I agree with the new ending you're suggesting for the play, but I'm not sure things are going to go so smoothly for the actress. I think Touko's bound to have a breakdown before she could have a rebirth.

The visual storytelling in page 20 & 21 are amazing enough already, then you realize they are a spread. Nakatani is truly the greatest yuri artist we've ever had. I'm glad she's my goddess.

At this point, I'm sure Yuu (or at least her guts) deep down already knows she's in love with Touko.

That's anyone's guess. To me she's still clueless as ever ^-^ This is just speculation, but I think Sayaka's gonna kiss Touko at the end of the council play and Yuu will realize her feelings through her jealousy or something like that XD. The play is what the whole plot's been building towards, if anything major's going to happen, it's gotta be there.

This was published on Hirari #13, the Hirari magazine ended on the #14 issue. I haven't read it yet, but Fumie's listed on the cover as one of the authors in that issue, so the second chapter of this was probably in it.

Still, with hirari dead, I'm guessing we won't see a third chapter of this.

Just re-read it, found further evidence that Touko's gonna break Yuu's heart. Check out the bit in chapter 13 when Touko appears terrified that Yuu's happy to be with her.

"shut your mouth you illegitimate child" oh those narrative devices for giving the reader specific information through lines of dialog which would never happen in reality.

I'm pretty sure that in this context she'd be called a "bastard" instead, but that might be ambiguous since it's also used as a slur. Is this only in the translated version or does the japanese text sound artificial as well?

Also: Dammit, right in the feels. And all the ableism too :,(

I want this manga in paperback so much.

The image at the end of this chapter implies the birth of her new feelings emerging. The way she's shown in a fetus position like she's born anew - very clever from the author.

I kinda thought it was about innocence, since Yuu's falling in love for the first time, she's completely unguarded for the heartbreak Touko's bound to give her.

There's a lot of rape in this collection, it's triggering. There should be a warning about it or something.

Touko's not playing with Yuu, she truly loves Yuu but for some reason she's frightened of what would happen if Yuu loved her too.

...which she does, so at some point Touko's bound to break Yuu's heart in a million tiny shards. Call me a sadist but I'm looking forward for that moment. This is becoming my favorite yuri story ever.
