I see men marrying over 40 all the time, but for women there is the dreaded biological clock, it sucks if you want to have children later in life, if you reach 40 it becomes very dangerous to have the children yourself, after 35 it's already a high risk pregnancy.

Why human reproductive biology works in this rather unusual fashion is something of a major question in evolutionary biology, btw.

This may come as a shock but Shizuku isn't exactly the most functioning and emotionally stable teen around. The whole ex business has clearly rattled loose any amount of baggage and she's relapsing to her old prickly and closed-off mannerisms. She's probably extra prickly and defensive because Saori prying into her messy past like this is pretty much entirely unprecedented and likely something of a breach of an unspoken agreement.

Recall also that Shizuku has massive abandonment issues and is duly reflexively suspicious of the motives of anyone trying to get close to her. Hence why she gets in Saori's face over the latter's siscon issues and the knee-jerk worst-case assumption of being an emotional replacement - it rather echoes the way she tried to "test" her by attempting to scare her away the first time they actually talked face-to-face.

TL;DR the kid's a mess and a half and has deep-seated trust issues at the best of times.

I found this one a bit confusing to parse. Saori had a beloved? Did I forget something important? I know she was obsessed with her sister, but I didn't think she had dated anyone.

Shizuku's obviously referring to Iori and Saori's incestuous obsession with her there. She later repeats it more explicitly as "you beloved onee-san" too.
