yup, Sungji is overshadowed with Seju and Sumin's solid backstory and it really didn't help that each chapter tells a parallel narrative between the past and the present. I was rooting for Sungji to win Sumin's heart in the first season/arc but as more flashback is shown, I find Seju and Sumin's dark and twisted relationship more interesting than the cliche feel good story of Team Blonde.

I think the active fanbase of WDTFS is one of the reason why I'm more invested to this manhwa because you have readers to talk and analyze the chapters lol

and I still think Seju plays the most important part to WDTFS. if Sungji was handled much better, i think I would've been Team Blonde. I get her appeal but there's something missing about her that I can't get myself to jump into her bandwagon.

there are other ongoing manhwa/webtoon. Pulse and Love Doctor are some of the most popular. it would be great if you didn't exist has just finished its first season and my gf's ex boyfriend is really interesting, even though its artwork is just passable lol the only manga I'm reading right now is Citrus (chapter 27 is already out)

I think forcing the three main characters to live together will resolve the issues between them. yeah, Seju and Sungji are not in good terms and that's why they need to talk it out. Its weird that Sungji and Seju has little interactions throughout this manhwa. there are only three instances when the three main characters are together. most of the time its either Seju or Sungji with Sumin.

Anyone think that the situation will force the three main characters to live together? This is one of the possible scenario that might happen.

we're derailing the thread but Citrus is getting good again. I know the author love to use new characters to further develop Yuzu and Mei's relationship but at least it is effective. and I still prefer manga over manhwa. manhwa often have a strong first season or volume but they tend to drop in quality or stagnate in one plot as the story goes on and plus manga has the potential to be adapted to anime/movie/tv drama. I still wish they will make a Girlfriends anime. Citrus is going to be f*cking awesome but NTR is gonna to be torture to watch.

WDTFS stands out because of its mature appeal. I think yuri fans are already tired of seeing another coming of age story. so this manhwa is really a breath of fresh air. but what really hooked me to WDTFS is the love triangle. it is rare to see a strong love triangle angle on a yuri material. most of the time it is a budding romance between the main couple and the third party is just merely a tool to create conflict.

Nora89

Team Gaji should hire you for you're analysis. maybe you can help them finish the story without any hitch lol

yup, I agree with your points. why can't Sumin find it in her heart to forgive Seju? she doesn't need to take her back because their relationship is too far gone to fix but they could still remain friends and maybe she could help her rearrange her social life since she already have a gf. but I think Sumin secretly doesn't want to see Seju with another lover. how angry she was when she found out the Nami scandal. how I wish Seju also have a new love interest than the Dawoon x Lawyer angle which I don't see any relevance to the main plotline.

its a possibility that Sumin might save Seju from whatever attacks lol the assassin lady has the same stature as Sumin. so it wont be hard for her to defend Seju. This manhwa might be a tearjerker in the end. I always criticised Sumin for her selfish actions but nobody deserve to die in the manhwa.

I still don't get why the fb posters put all the blame to Seju? Did they read the manhwa? nobody is to blame for how things turned out for Sumin and Seju. they both chose to have a f*cked up relationship. but still Seju and Sumin just really have a deep emotional connection with each other that even the author have a hard time severing their ties to each other lol

and I don't know why the writer of WDTFS just keep writing mushy scenes of SuminxSungji. Its no wonder why their relationship feel superficial or shallow. I know Sumin is the type of person who wants to keep everything to herself but Sungji is the perfect person to share her pain with. so why don't the author try to deepen their emotional connection instead of showing how horny they are when they're alone and they should stop portraying Sungji as a person who won't pressure or give demands to their gf because how the f*ck will their relationship grow?

When did we said that Seju is morally right? we're clashing opinions because you're trying to imply that Sumin should get a pass for cheating to Sungji because Seju tricked her into it.

Their relationship is more like Harley and the Joker. Absolutely terrible.

well, Sumin is the abuser and Seju is the victim and I don't know about the psychological manipulation. I know Seju guilt trip Sumin to have sex with her but f*cking come on, Sumin could have said "NO!!" it's like you're trying to imply that Seju used a jedi mind trick to Sumin to cheat on Sungji.

Nora89

imo, Seju could have been more evil but the author play it safe with her. you can be angry with her for her actions but you can fully understand where she's coming from. like if you were in her situation, you will have done the same thing. she has no friends and her siblings f*cking hate her. the only person she got is Sumin. who wouldn't do anything to keep that person in your life?

that's why I said she had taken advantage of the situation and we already know that they're friends with benefits. so I don't know how can that make Seju look evil in any sort of way. they're both consenting adults who knew full well what they're doing.

Nora89

killing Seju would be the worst ending. it's a good thing they scrapped it or they didn't take that option. but I'm waiting for another Seju and Sungji confrontation. this will be an interesting situation. we rarely get to see these two together.

Seju herself claims to use Sumin when she needs too.

she uses the plural, "use each other when we need to" <--- official translation ch 27
also in chapter 50, Sumin admits hurting Seju but not feeling guilty for it. ( dysfunctional both ways)
after she got caught told Sungji: so I kept her around and tormented her as much as I liked !

used each other. I think she meant the sex and consoling each other part. their relationship is like Harley and Ivy. they're somehow romantically involved but there's no commitment between them.

the writer said that Seju didn't originally planned the Sumin cheating incident. what Seju did was tell Sungji about her and Sumin past to discourage her from taking their relationship seriously and break it off in the end.

how can Seju plan something that she doesn't have any control? yup, she had taken advantage of the situation but plan the whole cheating incident imo is ridiculous.

and when did Seju claim she used Sumin? what chapter was it?

isn't it already established that Seju is neither good or evil? she may be the antagonist to Sumin and Sungji's relationship but she's not evil in a sense. even the writer of the manhwa said that Seju didn't have any control on the whole Sumin cheating incident with Sungji.

and I don't know why some people in fb are saying that Seju is playing the pity card to Sumin. she's the only friend that Seju got WTF?! so it only make sense that she's gonna call her, not just to talk to her about her problem but maybe warn her about the situation. so, I'm kinda thinking that they might live together for their security xD why not? it might resolve some issues between the three characters.

it is actually weird that the plot driving this manhwa on it's final arc is about Seju lol the character that supposed to be the thorn in the main couple's life is now the antagonist giving life to this manhwa.

I didn't feel like the mushy scenes are unnecessary filler this time because it shows that while Sumin is being all lovey-dovey to Sungji, she's still in touch with Seju. though they could have made it much shorter.

so I was somehow right that this will be a drama-thriller manhwa xD what's with this assassin and her haircut?! she might just be a bodyguard hired by her father and besides how stupid for her brothers to kill Seju while their father is still alive. I mean, they could be disown for it.

what if Sungji, Sumin and Seju end up living with each other?! plot twist!! we could have a love triangle in a different path.

roamsl
the fb is a hostile place for Seju fans lol they have a blind hate for her. unlike the readers in here, we criticize the characters for how they were written but the people in there are like "b*tch, why are you ruining our ship""

I honestly don't see any relevance with Dawoon x Lawyer. The third arc is very anticlimactic. Is that all the bullet points, they want to cover on the third arc? no big plot twist or anything?

yeah. I got you. there's tons of yuri manga/manhwa but only few have dedicated fanbase and it's hard to keep some thread active because manga in particular has longer release dates compared to manhwa.

as a yuri fan and even though I'm not the biggest fan of wdtfs. I feel grateful to successful series like this because it does help the yuri genre to be more popular and recognized. and maybe it will urge or inspire other artist to create more yuri content.

We should probably stop going around in circles now haha. Bring on the next episode.

we just can't stop debating lol the manhwa is nearing to its end anyway. once this manhwa ends almost no one is going to talk about this and this will be a ghost thread.

oh man, we're having so much fun overanalyzing this manhwa xD

I'll join the party. I don't know how can anyone think that Seju manipulated Sumin to stay with her or even sleep with her. when who the hell came running back after they broke up? isn't it Sumin?! and that's after Seju's brother beat her up. I mean, who the f*ck in their right mind would go back to their ex, after she was beaten up so badly by one of her family members?! what the f*ck? if anything I'll be traumatized to even be involved with them.

but the question is, what is Sumin's intention when she goes back to Seju? Sumin contradicts herself in here. she said she wanted to stay with Seju because she fears, she will commit suicide. but at the same time, she also have an intention to emotionally torture her and give her hope that they will be back together and then just leave her when she found someone else which will eventually push Seju to also kill herself. Sumin is just digging the wounds of their relationship deeper when she came back to Seju and delaying the inevitable that they need to be away from each other to heal themselves,

imo, Seju was never evil or a master manipulator. if anything she's letting Sumin do everything she wants. Seju is not stupid. she is aware that the old them will never be back but she love Sumin too much that she's willing to be reduced as Sumin's "forever rebound girl" and this is what I think she meant, when she said "no matter how long it takes, you'll be mine again" she's not forcing herself to Sumin because she knows, she is the one who cheated and she's holding so hard into this thread of hope that Sumin has given her when she came running back to her but their relationship is never going to work. Seju is trying while Sumin wants to move on from her but cling into her until she found someone else lol Sumin is so f*cking cruel to Seju.

^What's interesting is the fact that Sungji brought a lot of happiness to Sumin (and woke up her childish side), even Nami commented on it. Seju wasn't able to do it for 10 years even though pretty much all of Sumin's happy memories are with her.

Sumin acts cold and distant to Seju after they broke up. so it is not hard to see why Seju can't make Sumin happy again even though she tried many times to be there for her. their relationship ended badly, so Sumin's good memories of her and Seju turn into a negative/bad nostalgia every time she remembers them. she probably just wants to forget it and move on but she can't. well, that's until Sungji come into the picture.

I still think Seju is the lesser evil between her and Sumin. maybe, Seju cheated on her and her brother beat her up so badly that she needed to cover her scars with tattoos. but Sumin emotionally tortured Seju for 10 years as her revenge for that one night. I would probably hated Seju, if she didn't show any guilt or remorse for hurting Sumin but she did everything for her.
it's just that Seju might have given Sumin everything she wanted but it is not exactly what she needed. it can't be helped though, Sumin did put an emotional barrier between her and Seju.

imo, Sumin's reason that Seju might kill herself if she leave her is pure B.S. it's just her excuse to stay by her side so, she could see Seju miserable when she fooled around with other girls and then leave her when she found a suitable replacement. Sungji did cure her depression with her pure and innocent character without actually talking about it or building a deeper emotional connection between them.

if ever that scenario happen. Seju's love for Sungji won't be as destructive as her relationship with Sumin. The author will probably use this plot to make Seju realize that Sumin and Sungji deserve each other. besides imo the reasons why Seju can't let go of Sumin is because she is her first love and only friend, their relationship ended badly and there's no definite closure. Sungji might just be the bridge/way to heal both Seju and Sumin resentment towards each other. it's funny though because Sumin want to cut Seju out of her life but it seems Sungji is going reconnect those ties.

I don't know if Team Gaji is messing with us but I like this mindf*ck twist LOL so Seju is going to fall for Sungji xD well, they kinda have a chemistry, maybe because there is this weird tension between them and they look hotter together than SuminxSungji. the unthinkable just happen folks!

If it does happen, where do Sumin go from this?

I still think the endgame couple will be SuminxSungji even if this new plot twist is true. we still don't know why will this happen anyway. maybe Seju is trying to seduce Sungji to get back on Sumin but she'll eventually fall in love with her. well, at least. this is better than dragging the main couple into Seju's family issue. I actually thought this is going to be a drama-thriller manhwa when Seju's brother start their plot against her. but yup, endgame couple is still SuminxSungji or else all those 70+chapters is just going to waste and besides, I don't think the shipper of the main couple will like it. Seju fans are the minority so there is no chance for her get between them but this is an interesting new development, if ever it happen.

I actually don't see how a person like Sumin who is dealing with depression will just instantly fell head over heels in love to someone she barely knew. she let her guard down so easily because Sungji likes her? I would have let this pass if Sumin didn't have a sex galore with different girls.

I guess Sungji's VJJ has some magical healing powers that instantly cures Sumin's depression when she insert her fingers into it xD that is the only theory I can come up with.

didn't Sumin already clarify that she was too tired to have another round because she had a rough day after getting back to S.Korea. I can't remember clearly because I was skimming WDTFS now than actually reading it.

I've stopped liking reading wdtfs for quite a while now mainly thanks to endgame couple's sex story.

don't tell that to SuminxSungji shippers. they will probably call you a Sejufag while praising the author and the artist to high heavens and asking them for more sex scenes. well, in the end, it's just preference anyway. if you like a more compelling story then you will probably like Seju but if you love to see beautifully drawn characters having sex without the "getting to know each other phase" then you will probably love the main couple. I mean why make Sungji try to help Sumin with her depression by making her open up to her when the only thing she need to do is to have sex with her and everything will be alright. I think even the author forgot that Sumin is dealing with depression.

didn't anyone notice that Sumin changed after she had her first time with Sungji? lol Sungji's market value is probably more higher than any girl that Sumin had sex with before because she is a virgin xD they have a term for that "Golden Lesbian"

I've never watch a kdrama before but some readers are saying that this is probably going to end in a cliche-kdrama way. but I think Sumin and Sungji is going to be drag into Seju's power struggle plot against her brother and one of the main couple might try to save Seju's life and she will ask "how can you save my life, when I've done everything to ruined your relationship blah, blah blah" then she will come into a conclusion that the Sungji and Sumin is made for each other and because she is forever indebted to them for saving her life, she will probably buy them a house and a car or buy them a ticket to go abroad to have a vacation xD

Nora89
well, yeah they are 34 and 24 but they focused too much on their sex life. up until now, Sungji doesn't even know much about Sumin except that she and Seju are ex-gfs turn friends with benefits occasionally having sex when they're bored with their life. and if the author tried to pull that they actually talked more about themselves to know more about each other, it is just that they didn't show it on the manhwa. that's just bullsh*t.
