Whatever Fuyo's "problem" her parents think she has, it's clear from the last page that while she fell into their grasp and tried to "fix" herself, she has now overcame that and will express herself in her own way. Even though I think it's a bit rushed, the one-shot ended satisfyingly. Kei learned from her stupid mistake, and when the same situation came up again, she did the right thing. It's pretty nice to see the connection/redemption between the past and present in this one-shot, actually, how the one-shot is paced emphasized this connection, the artist has truly given it thoughts. Great work.

Don't know if this interpretation is anything new, but from what I see here it looks like the alien is the one who initiates their relationship in a more sexual/romantic way. I read a few comments, and even though it's true that we don't even know if Ada actually defines romance as we do, but I don't see her going around inspecting other humans' mouths with her tongue like she does with Dr. Simon, so at least we can draw the conclusion that Dr. Simon is special to her. Ada probably took a liking to Dr. Simon (don't know why but it happens) then got touchy-feely, and Dr. Simon actually was pretty timid/hesitant about it at first (like here: https://dynasty-scans.com/chapters/alien_girl#28). But alas, Ada is a cute alien with blissfully naive yet really intimated skinshipping habits, so she fell for it and became a disgrace of humanity.

Maybe I just really want to shake off the possibility of Ada not even understanding what she's in for (consent and stuff), and having the alien sincerely going after the human romantically (not the reverse) is something I haven't seen in a while... or ever really.

In the middle of this comment, I realized I was more concern with the alien's consent than the possibility of her laying eggs down the scientist's throat or just nip a bit too hard on that human flesh... That tongue is probably even longer than it looks... not that it's a bad thing but ummm...

Meh... the artist created some twists leading to a hard-to-solve problem then abandoned it by untwisting every single thing.

Lazy, shock-value writing without no intention of taking the responsibility to sort out the mess they made. All ideas thrown out the windows to spark some cheep thrills and "surprise" the readers. This story goes nowhere, is utterly pointless and a waste of my time.

Today while I was washing the dishes... I thought of something... (train of thought= washing dishes--> saw a fork--> remebered Disney's The little mermaid--> mermaid --> yuri mermaid --> this one-shot)

I thought that maybe there is more to the sign to just show us the whole rumor thing is a misunderstanding... maybe I'm reading to much into it but, mermaid's tears seem to be quite of a big deal... so for a mermaid to willingly give one to a human must be pretty rare... Sarasa kept her sister's tears as a memento, and was purely showing them to Minami when the girl brought up getting one of those instead... Sarasa didn't directly object but somehow or another made it so the pearl remained with her... And at the end Sarasa cries out of la broken heart, then says she won't give the tear as a blessing to Minami's love.

What I thought goes like this: the sign says a girl helped a mermaid and the mermaid gave her a pearl... maybe the pearl wasn't the direct result of helping her...more like maybe that meeting led them to know each other... and what if that mermaid also fell in love with a human... only for her to discover the girl loved someone else; however instead of going Sarasa's way (allowing herself a little selfishness) she decided to bless her beloved love with her tears ;A; (she could have said it was as thanks for the help tho...)

Most in this forum will agree mermaid stories usually have a tragic ending... maybe this one does not have it... cuz the tragic ending passed long ago...if it is as I think then this author gave us two love stories at the price of one... what do you think? o- o (it's completely ok if you think I went nuts while washing the dishes).

I don't think the author went that far, it's just your moment of frigde brilliance. Still this gives so much more angst to Sarasa's "selfish" decision, and makes the happy ending more precious than I've ever thought before.

The question of is the husband cheating or not doesn't have anything to do with the question of will Uta and Kaoru end up together. Him cheating doesn't mean Kaoru loves Uta romantically, it only makes us readers feel better if Kaoru and Uta really have an affair. And like pointed out by Ackerman, no clear evidence, so it's better to wait for more information before pointing fingers.

Also, reading this manga is clearly torturing yourself. Why did I do this to myself?

At first I really thought Umi was acting OOC, being so close like that was something that Nozomi would have done, rather than Umi (imo Umi would just hold hands or sth). But then the artist brought up this idea that when Umi detected serious damage, she became super affectionate to soo Maki, which is both an interesting aspect of the character amd super cute. When I got to the last page, it was clear that showing that part of Umi was the artist's intention. Such care has gone into getting to know these original characters and expanding on their personalities, it's admirable.

Love this.

How Maki would have to "toughen up" and be the active one, despite being OOC, is nice to see. Pairing dynamics are just awesome.

No this is just nope. It feels like Honker is a tool for some petty fight that can be solved with a mature conversation. Honker need to break up with one of them or one of them back out. Orrr poly.

But really, poor Honker is just being used for a bad ntr story

still too little information to reach any conclusion about where their relationship is going to go. Sometimes authors are more interesting in telling a dramatic story than an actual enjoyable one. Sometimes characters become devices. I hope this won't be one of those stories, but with Nika's tone shifting at the end of this chapter, I'm quite ready for some heavy drama to come. Now I'll wait and see if it's gonna feel forced.

I have the feeling that the author secretly hate Chika =)) The Muses' School Idol Days is much better, with Honoka being a much more likable protagonist and Umi still being the shy cutie she is. They also ask each other and tell each other the truth, Honoka even decide to cut if off with Kotori (which is logical and great of her). The only person in that story who is acting kinda shit is Kotori, but if you think hard enough, you can dig out reasons why she act the way she does.

In this story, though, I can hardly care about anyone. Chika is a jerk, she won't tell You what she did and just lied her way out. Riko hardly gets any moment to shine (unlike Umi who has her confession and her confrontation with Honoka). And You is like Kotori, the most overblown character out of the three, so I can definitely pull some reasons for her, but I do not care one bit because I know she is twisted to fit the story.

So yeah, School Idol Days has a lot more likable characters and reasonable choices than this.

This series has a cool name though =)) I think that between friendship and lust (according to the old greek definitions) there is romantic relationship, something that has both appreciation for the partner and intimacy without being selfish or possessive. The mordern day's idea of a stable romantic relationship, in fact.
