I thought the "the moon is beautiful" thing was a reference to the Hachi Itou series. lol

Negative. The Hachi Itou series is a reference to the older concept previously mentioned. Essentially, that entire series is titled "I love you."

Japanese people in old days never used sweet words (current Japanese either) such as "I love you." and so on. So, when Sosuke Natsume translated "I love you" to Japanese, he recommended that it be said that "月がきれいですね" - Tsuki ga kirei desune (means that the moon tonight is beautiful, isn't it?)

In his opinion, when you are with a women you love and said "the moon is beautiful, isn't it?" to her, it is as valuable as saying "I love you." 

Not only did Sakurako invoke that deliberately, she then pointed out the summer triangle, which is also part of one of the most famous love stories in Japanese myth.

I think they made Akechi's ears a little too rabbity. They're supposed more pointed at the ends.

Other than that, this is a perfectly believable event, given the characters.

Well yeah, it's oficially tagged yuri, I have no idea what happened here. Which will make it all the more satisfying when the Subtext tag finally gets unquestionably proven wrong.

I think there was some sort of community drama around some series regarding "THIS ISN'T REALLY YURI WHY IS IT LABELED YURI WAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!! FIX IT FIX IT YOU LIED TO ME!!!!!11!1!one!" etc. So now things that aren't outright stated to be romantic right in the beginning get labeled subtext, and once the label is there not even hardcore yuri sex will convince the mods to change it.
