There's no report button on the forums, and as the mod team is not NEET hawkpeople there needs to be one.

Can you add download page links to the reader? Since were already downloading it to read it it won't be any significant burden really.

For the second one couldn't you use regular expressions? So when someone searches for something it looks for any time that combination of letters come up. That's the inherent search function in perl expressions but I don't know about whatever branch of ruby you said this was.

Thank you for editing the mobile view to hide the slider, but you still need to have the loading box appear on the page, the arrows be hidden and not appear, have the page scale to 100% width and proportional height so that it's readable, have a page selector, and have download page links for large (FWPA mainly) pages.

I'm on my mobile device and I can't see anything. The page selection sidebar takes up too much room, the tags and othe things clutter at the top takes up an entre screen and a half, the pate does not scale to a readable size, it really needs to take up 100% of the screen to read on the iPhone. There's a random arrow that appears and won't go away. The floating effects seem to be hogging a lot moredata than the plain whit background did. Again with the single page downloads helping read with large pages and the jump to page box at the bottom being needed.
The old site really worked well with mobile, you should build from that not just rework it entirely. The page took up a good amount if space, the other elements were limited and plain and did not take time to load, the sidebar wasnot there, and the page could be downloaded if you couldn't load the image. Please do away with this quickly, while I disagree with the aesthetics of the non mobile site this is non functional.
Upon further inspection this is completely unuseable, page loading time has increased, readibility is negligible, please rework this quickly.

I have a copy of all the banners and css files now. You should probably disable the old site chatbox. Also for mobile and normal version the download page function seems to be missing, that was good for bypassing the image caching feature and made it use less RAM to read, essential on older mobile devices such as mine, and made it easier to download single pages for various reasons.

The blank space isn't hidden by having things blocked out as floating objects, it's exacerbated. The scroll wheel at the bottom was a box that could be used to select what page to be on, it was a dropdown box at the bottom, the reason that I want that back is that on the mobile version of the site when pages lag out it is much easier to select pages using that and then refresh the page to get to the desired page. The gain of putting tags at the bottom rather than top is that no one can see them if they don't want to, it becomes less intrusive and more of an optional feature than a main focus of the page. As for the background, I think I'll just edit the CSS myself and use it as a userscript, the aesthetic of it as a full page is much better because of the dimensions of my monitor which are higher than usual so the page is smaller than usual even when zoomed in. I can just get the source myself from the old site so that's okay. I hope you do reconsider the logos and banners, I liked them quite a bit and hope to see them again. As for your last point, yes most of my suggestions are to return the reader to it's old state, but that is because it was both aesthetically pleasing and highly functional on all of my devices, there is a fair bit of functionality that has been lost and I personally don't like the aesthetics but that I can edit myself it's just going to be a bit of work.

That's weird, I'm using google's DNS with no secondary.
That's really not as important as my previous critique.

I think something's wrong, it keeps flipping between the two versions. Have you considered using git to control the revisions?
Your /assets/ directory is missing, the favicon is gone along with some dropdown menu stylesheets.

Can you return thumbnails to the series page?
Is is possible to extend the page background (White space) to encompass the page and have the tags at the bottom rather than top? Along with the tags at the bottom can it have the select page box that is present on the old one?

Currently online counter is missing from the forums.

And can you have the header, body, etc span to 100% vertical and horizontal rather than just being an arbitrary distance?

Last thought, since you're no longer using it can I have the source from the previous reader? I really liked it and would like to have it for personal reading and CSS scripting.

The little illustrations at the top of the reader and the banners on the main site were pretty good too, it would be nice to be able to see them again, in a gallery or somewhere.

Seravi wrote

Maybe we could have a separate Unread list that contains everything not currently on the user's Read list? I don't know if it's viable, but it would be kind of interesting, I suppose.

Or just subtract the read list from all chapters, series, etc, and show that in a submenu.

You could always write a bash script to add everything to it and then manually delete the ones you read.
It would have to be something like:
firefox dynasty-scans.com/path/to/readlistaddlinks/*

I can't tell from these screenshots, does it still separate series by volume? Perhaps use a series with more than one in your screenshot.

Well the lists themselves aren't what I was really saying, the links at the top to reader/directory/series/groups recently added/random chapter was what I meant for the top.

Specifically, the separation and rounding of the page on the reader is worse considering the screenshots, the way the header is separated from the page with the background instead of being one whole page with the image in the center looks bad. The lack of the current drop-down menu links is troubling, I think those are useful. The reading list reorganization is good. Recently added works tab is not there and that is really one of the most important pages. Thumbnails in the series page too. The booru item looks disconcerting, I am not a fan of those but I hope you know what you're doing. The tags being at the top instead of the bottom of the page when reading a chapter looks bad, and they should be in a separate box than the other elements, like they are now. Download Chapter/page would be nice to retain. Page navigation, again the separation of the page from the rest of it looks bad, it would be better if it was one page with the elements in it rather than a bunch of them just scattered around. The bar at the top would be nice to scale all the way across, and the image scale to a about what it is now, maybe slightly bigger. I would like to reiterate this the navigation menus at the top of the page are great and keeping them instead of dropping the main site bar there would be best, and the background and layout could use some work. I think you're overdoing the modifications really that it would be best for it to be more plain and together like it currently is than what you're doing with the design. Also if the current system is going by the wayside I would like to have a copy of the code/setup for private use, I really am quite fond of it and would like to set it up on my home server, not for any commercial gain just for personal reading.

Please whatever you do, make it an an opt-in. I like the current layout, and this just doesn't look as nice, it's shiny but I don't think it works as well.

I'm not very fond of python but I'll try it out. It's slightly a moot point now since the series I was looking at has been licensed. I hate running down python modules it's a lot of work to find the source and compile it for something that should be built into the language to begin with.

As I heard it it's founder, same guy who really pushed RSS syndication, was found dead in his dorm room this week after killing himself due to impending 38 year jail time for downloading freely available MIT records.

That's why they have the reader android application. I haven't used my android in a while but the iOS one is working fine right now so I would assume that that one is too.

I think user interaction is a bad idea. Cluttering pages with vote and comment options is worthless and should be done separately, such as in a different place and not on the reader itself. I think it would be best to have comments and tag suggestions in somewhere else rather than the reader like the forums or a new forum/booru style board, or even a kareha sub directory for discussion rather. I think the only thing the reader needs is the tagging system to be redone with multi-tag search and more descriptive tags, perhaps remove the "add to your reading/read list" headers that take up the first half the page. As for a forum revamp kareha and Shiichan are good ways to do forums since they do not require registrations and do not have images save for capcodes. Shiichan is actually quite useful once you learn how it works properly and can use posticons and capcodes, where kareha works properly and actually functions.

That's quite a bit of bandwidth. Is that even with compression? Because that's about the monthly push for everything on usenet excluding alt.*. You're quite sure that's just from images and not DDoS and such because it seems like a lot even for loss less compression of images.

You have two tags, 4-koma and 4koma, which have different series in them, could you merge them or is there some pivotal difference between the two?
