SuminxSungji have sweet interactions and Seju sees them all then somehow convinces Seju to back away but I lean more on the way my first post is about :). It seems more logical that way.

I remember the cotton candy scene in ch32, it seems that this one took place before they even confessed their feelings to each other or kissed judging from Seju's and Sumin's reactions. However, the snow scene in ch2 and the flashback of ch56 both show that they were already kissing and their feelings for each other are known for them and I think both of those two scenes took place during their senior year of High school. I think we may know tomorrow XD, hopefully.

I've been discussing this earlier with yoonie, Sungji in fact never pushed Sumin into having sex until after ch27, which is understandable given that Sungji felt the possible threat from Seju: "having sex here and there when bored", (also, her question to Sumin about whether Seju sleeps over too.. should be taken into consideration)
only then I think Sungji had to overcome her own discomfort. compare her reaction to Sumin's touch in ch25 to how eager she was in ch29

• I am more inclined to think of it as "competitiveness", "comparison" and a bit of insecurity rather than curiosity.

Note: (ch26, ch27 dealt with flashbacks, ch28 is an intro to ch29 trip)

The following isn't intended to be against or pro any of the teams or any character, but rather, an intuitive reading of the work and understanding the significance of the "getting caught scene", as you know, this scene was planned long before the serialisation and never really changed because of its importance. Here is one way to look at it:

The concept of sex as a manner of testing connectivity:

Team Gaji intreduced this concept in earlier chapters and used it later in another more crucial one:

ch48, you see Seju telling Nammi: "if this is what you want to try out, do it, I will play along [..]", also she said: "don't kid yourself, this doesn't change anything". Nammi did want to test this thing by saying: "aren't you in fact scared, that you might like it?" but she struck out.

• No emotional connectivity or whatsoever.

ch49, this concept is still in act, take a look at the flashback of Nammi and Sumin. "it was far worse than I thought”. The outcome was also discussed in ch65.

• No connectivity once more.

ch54, Seju:"Just once, let me do what I want.. just once, it doesn't mean anything anyways"
pay attention to her words, it hints that Sumin is always in control to a point that Seju wasn't allowed to touch Sumin the way she wanted to in the first place.. take a look at ch14: "you are pretty complaint today".

Now, do you think the sex scene between Seju and Sumin in ch54 was just to mess things up ?

First: in the past 10 years, it's the first time they do it while Sumin admitting her feelings, it's no longer animalistic or suppressed emotional wise.

Second: does it really mean nothing?
look at the position, Seju is on top. There are three messages you could get from that scene alone.

1. from Seju to Sungji "she is mine"
2. from Seju to Sumin "it DOES mean everything in every way"
3. from Seju to herself: " reclaiming.. feeling intimate one more time in 10 years".. and of course "now I know" ch57.

as for the first point: Seju looked directly into Sungji's eyes while biting Sumin's lips.

as for the second point: you could see the facial expression and no need to explain it further.

as for the third point: ch57, "I'm going to get you back"

Bottom Line
using intimacy to test feelings of one another was used in earlier chapters than in ch54. And the sex in that chapter wasn't a mere horniness, or a way to sabotage Sumin*Sungji, but also needed to prove something else to the three characters.

1. Knowing lots of women who enjoy being with women sexually, going down on a girl is one of the most intimate sexual acts ever, the bottom will be in a vulnerable situation while the giver is performing an act that requires a good deal of effort even emotionally, a girl would rarely do it on someone that she doesn't like. And some would even refrain from doing it in one night stands, same applies to the receivers (specially a natural top like Sumin)
2. The last woman in ch50, was in no case going down on Sumin but it was the other way around.. Sumin was doing the service, or well, breaking it.
3. Sumin's statement to Seju in ch50 I thought was a payback and a mean of conditioning their relationship to be only about sex, so Seju would not have any other ideas.

there is not a single intimate scene that doesn't show a thing beyond what meets the eyes. That's why I kept encouraging yoonie to read them.. WTH wrong with Sungji in ch69 telling Sumin to look clearly at her eh ehem

Now, the resolve I have seen in Sungji's face in chap. 83 is strong and I believe she had realized things first hand. She had witnessed, experienced, tested and she got her answer.
