One of the reasons (he said) he was trying to bring her back was because her attempting to assimilate will essentially fail, and would cause problems. Now if she can't be checked by someone powerful from her world, what would it mean for those around her?

Hmm, seems like that was the implication. What if, the other dragons were asked to look over Tooru? They'd probably keep her in check if she does something.

Now I'm wanting to see Tooru have an 'episode' of sorts and Kobayashi calming her xD

Appreciating the appreciation :) . It's my speculation that Akagi hides much of her feelings. Since it was a hazy moonlit night (the title), her agreement to Kaga's 'The moon is beautiful' might be a lie (i.e She meant 'I love you too', not the observation of the moon). I don't have much ground to stand on aside from that clouded moon, her asking for a kiss at the beginning and the fact she won't seek release with anyone else. Even if it's not true, I need some delusion to keep going...

True delusions are nice when they're like that xD Though it seems Kaga has attempted a few times before to say she loves her and has been denied in more or less the same manner. I'm just wondering why Akagi would stop Kaga when supposedly she feels the same, even if she hides her feelings. Plus Kaga seemed to be hurting a bit? That's a bit too strongly, still, that feeling will only get worse and worse with every denial from Akagi. Add to that that it seems like Akagi is the one getting the pleasure 90-95% of the time, based on the "Only for today." thing Kaga says.

Or you know, I'm just overthinking it. Yeah, let's go with that xD (Who wants a depressing story after all?)

Nice to see a fairy story. Kind of. But it had to be in this collection xD

Collection....? What collection ? *Look at the description...Oh....No, this one is from pixiv. It doesn't belong to that depressing collection.

It's not? It fits rather well though xD Then again it wasn't as much 'in-your-face' as the other works in that collection.

Kobayashi is a badass

She sure is, and she was very logical as well, with all the "You can't interfere with this world so you can't kill me". She didn't look the least bit intimidated. I'm confused who the father was talking about when he said "You're powerful enough to intimidate me.." I'm thinking Tooru since she basically was like "Don't you dare touch her", he seemed genuinely scared as well. Perhaps they are pretty well matched? Strength wise I mean.

I can't wait when the "Don't take away my maid." becomes "Don't take away my girl." xD If it ever becomes that. Guess we'll have to get some sort of development to see Tooru become more than a friend.

I wonder how that'll happen? Oh well, bottom line is, Kobayashi stronk!

Thanks to the translator :]

Kinda sad if they only do it with each other but no mutual love involved... O_o

HOT STUFF THOUGH >///<

Well, there is love from Kaga but is denied when she tries to voice it, and that makes me sad. Akagi only seeks release.

Still, thanks to The Army for the two Kantai releases :]

Also, is it just me who thought that Fate actually saved the car rather than Nanoha when she pulled her back ? :p

Well yeah, cause if it actually hit Nanoha there would be nothing left of the car xD

Does this really warrant the Romance tag though?

Well I hoped it would be for when a new chapter came out but I re-read it so I couldn't help myself.

I think if it continues it will have a different name, cause the title is "Let's start with a friend" and perhaps the progression would take us beyond friends.

Nevri was right, didn't use the right word. Just meant for media in general. And because of that lesbians don't have any trust in bi girls(mostly)/guys, probably because they don't know any bi people.

Goes to show that I don't do multi-tasking well xD

Ironic to see this discussion in the middle of Bisexual Awareness Week, don't you think?

Haha, oh yeah. Didn't know it was that time, or that it even existed.

All her works here are yuri yes, she has other works (:

All her work is yuri.

If that is all her work then I stand corrected.

I wouldn't count on English sites to show all works of a Japanese author though. Oh well, when it gets translated and if it gets uploaded here we'll see how it ends xD

That was.. interesting. I wonder to whom Madoka gave a 'clitoris French kiss' other than Homura, and how she insisted on being just 'friends' made me kind of sad xD

Wasn't this work clearly stated non yuri since the begining ? As her first non yuri work ? Because that's how I've always seen it

If it was stated like that, then she failed hard, since it has clear yuri subtext xD

Oh and it's one of her latest manga, not the first ta all x)

There goes my theory 8D Didn't bother to check, was guessing based on the fact that every single other one is a yuri xD

I hope she won't decide to stop writing yuri and switch genre to shoujo/romance ;/

All her works here are yuri yes, she has other works (: I think in one of the translated afterwords she stated she wanted to distance herself from yuri and write het or at least not yuri. As I said though, subtext isn't worth shit if at the end she gets together with a guy :]

Turtleduck Scanlations has reached chapter 6.5 of Otomodachi kara Hajimemashou (Let's start with a friend). All of those chapters are also available on the batoto reader. It looks like the series is two volumes (14 chapters) long. I think it's very well written. I'd really like to see it uploaded here.

It is good, but I'm worried as it is the only Hiyori work that isn't labeled as yuri anywhere, but just shoujo. Story has clear yuri subtext, so maybe it just doesn't end with a couple (would fit the tittle)? Can't say since I didn't see raws.

If it's a shoujo manga then perhaps the two girls end up with the two boys by the end :P And it isn't tagged as yuri, subtext doesn't matter at all when at the end the girl is with a boy.

^ I was gonna post another wall of text, but, yeah. My whole point was that perhaps Mizuki wasn't a lesbian/bi to begin with and was just using Sachiko for company and when she got the chance to find a boyfriend she dumps her. That is perhaps, not a statement.

And as far as I've seen in yuri/media all bi people do cheat on their girlfriends with a man. That's why I think lesbians don't really like bi girls.

long text.. But saying she get a bf automatically makes us think, that she didn't take this relationship seriously from the start.

We saw her support her once, and I meant it for Mizuki not for Sachiko (or whoever is the main girl). It was obvious that she shut down her emotions and tried to rationalize it. That's what people do generally.

They even encourage her to try things out and not be bond, but she deny it since she loves Sachiko, so my guess is she didn't have sex.

That was my guess as well, but there are people who are just shy. So it can be either or. For the purposes of my 'theory' though she's a virgin ;)

That sounds little far-fetch. Why would she bother still pretending to be in relationship if she didn't want it? If anything after having some fun she could easily just break up before Sachiko even moved out. Especially the fact she feels need to say she got someone new and explains herself, suggest she took this relationship at least somewhat seriously.

She wanted to have an excuse instead of 'I found a guy who bangs me all day since we are in different towns, and I just went along with you'. I mean, wouldn't you want to be thought of as good? I doubt she'd ask around if her girlfriend cheated on her after they break up. Also liars tend to explain their reasoning more than usual.

Sure new bf strikes harder than new gf, but mostly because with new gf, it would be just "i wasn't good enough for her?" with new bf, you got also entire "was she serious about me? did she even love me? maybe she wasn't lesbian after all" stuff, that adds way more to the news. I honestly think you think that way only because of those unconscious (or conscious) implications that we learned to add when hearing that one of girls broke the relationship because of the bf. It just has inherently more drama and I don't think that is a good thing, because it as well always make us naturally think of the other girl as a bad person, whatever her choice was justified or not.

I think the case was that she indeed wasn't serious about her. The author went out of his way to mention that it was an all-girls school, when you know that Japanese people think that it's fine when girls go through that 'phase' in their school years.

Granted we don't know how their relationship has been, I don't recall whether or not it was mentioned they've had sex or not, could've been just that the other girl just went it our girl because they were separated and if you want to take it a step further, the other girl encouraged the 'idol' to take on the work as if finding herself an excuse later on to break-up with her.

Then again, I'm probably reading waaaay too much into it (: So disregard this babble.

Good riddance. Now she has a chance to really find someone who treasures her.

A new series began on Fox called Rosewood. Now the main character is a man, but his sister is engaged to a woman, and it seems like they are regular cast. It's a typical crime series just so you know.
