For anyone who has the raws, is this a random phase the author suddenly decided to take the manga in or will the rest of the story be based on assault?

And sometimes people like characters BECAUSE they're complete assholes, provided that's what's the character is intended to be. (Characters who are supposed to be viewed as heroes or whatever but just come off as jerks are another story, though).

Not an easy bit to translate, but I believe the intended meaning is "it's the hands of a girl other than me", basically part of her "officially awakening to the landlady gay" arc. I tried to avoid phrasing it in a way that implied Kozuka had non-girly hands.

This is set in middle school.

I'm not sure what it's like for others but in my country's case (before K-12 happened), we don't have middle school and we go straight into highschool after 6th grade. Age 14-15 was Junior year in highschool for those who had a similar educational system.

Description says it's third year middle school. When in doubt, just remember that almost every Precure is a 14-year old in their second year of middle school, give or take the occassional grade school/high schooler.

Pretty much. Something of a carry on from a previous volume where Kamu just makes up songs about food.

I swear, this author has no idea what she's doing at times... A chapter with Eiko and Kiyose, but on the other hand, sinking the ship with Eiko and Kamu clinging together on the character introduction page and leaving Kiyose off the covers entirely.

We've got vol 2 translated and a typesetter to work on them, so it should be fairly regular. The rest of Ayame 14 is translated too, but we need a typesetter for it. (Anyone interested, do swing by the /u/ translation thread).
