It wasn't mentioned, it was implied, very poorly at that. People had to go back to read it through to see the signs after the chapter about Keiko moving was posted. I'm guessing most of the people frustrated at this development don't like it because it came out of left field for them (and me), it's like you're watching a comedy and suddenly the apocalypse happens and you don't know why the hell it did, because there was no sign of it happening :P

Love this story, there's a part one somewhere thought it was on here but I guess it was tumblr. Either way I'll find it later. ^.^

I wouldn't be surprised if Shou meant for it to sound like that. If you take into account how she behaved when teased - firstly, it was calm and replied as such, in that it was due to something or other (I've forgotten), a little bit of time later (secondly) she doesn't really refute it with that much conviction, almost like she's thinking about it in her head "It does seem like that, and I don't mind it as much" or something along those lines, and lastly we have this chapter where she's in frustrated denial (aka a tsundere)

Saki, in all her cathartic glory, asking the real questions the yuri fans are thinking. A true friend. Ran's semi-desparate last-minute flirting broke my heart. That poor girl.

Especially if you think about the flirting as her try to make the dream she had a reality.

Surprised they didn't show their family's reactions. It still is comedy so I guess it would've worked out somewhat fine either way xD At first I thought 'niece' was a mistranslation, cause I thought that Yukiko was her mother's sister and not her sister. Oh well.

The mangaka has had a manga get an anime, wish this one did as well...

If it does, I hope it will be after the manga is finished.

On a separate note, can someone confirm that it's a "him" in "So you broke up with him for good this time, huh?" It might be my inner denial, but did I miss a time skip where Keiko got back with her ex?

She never got back together, but they didn't have a proper talk after the miscarriage. So here Keiko confirms that they did have that talk, after Ran prodded them when Keiko and Saki went to see her and stumbled upon him there.

I suspect there will be a tearful but very frank confession just before Keiko leaves, one that makes it unmistakably clear how Ran feels, forcing Keiko to seriously consider what she has subconsciously avoided admitting to herself so far. Cut forward until after her assignment, and she will have sorted out her feelings, hopefully returning to Ran to confirm that they are mutual.

Then again, I tend to try to be optimistic...

Somebody has to xD I'm clearly the negative force on this forum, always thinking the worst :P Though Nezchan takes it to a whole other level. Even if it is mainly trolling :P

Her going away is temporary, they made that clear in the previous chapter. So they can't stay together while she's away, and no guarantee they'll live together when she comes back. Besides which, Ran is drunk and hurting right now so she's probably not looking at whatever will happen down the road but the fact that after tomorrow she'll be alone.

I don't know, to me it implied that she's moving for good. Unless I'm not picking up on something that definitely points to it being temporary. The one good thing at least is that Keiko and her ex talked properly, and hopefully we'll not see him again, or if we see him the next time he's got a woman he loves :P

Okay, I'm getting a better idea that Keiko is going away related to her job. Probably some temporary transfer where she'll be away for some extended period of time. And since it's her apartment that Ran can't afford alone, they have to vacate entirely. I'm not feeling the depression so bad since this is pretty clearly a separation that allows both to sort their feelings out, although Ran's got a pretty firm grasp on hers.

idk, it might not work out but if I were writing a yuri story of this nature, this is probably how I'd handle it.

Or if you want to look at it from a pessimistic point of view, Shou got tired of writing it and just wants to be done with it :P Also if it was temporary, I doubt Ran would say "I wish we could have stayed longer together"

I wouldn't be surprised if Ran went to live with Saki, and the twist would be when Keiko goes to visit some time in the future Ran and Saki are together :P

It felt anticlimatic because the previous chapter hyped Tooru's father as a BIG DEAL and in the end it didn't do anything more than being a minor nuisance. The other dragons introduced before lived up more to their reputation.

Oh I'm more than sure that this isn't the last time we see him, I see these two chapters as more introduction than anything.

Maybe Akagi has a...trauma in the past? Seems to me there's something going on BEFORE things became like this. Still hot tho and yet no less depressing. Damn. They have angst attached to their lives indeed.

Why is there almost always some kind of tragic undercurrent with this pairing? Don't see much with other parings if at all.

We don't see this kind of thing with other pairings is because they're not as popular and/or 'important'. As in throughout the anime we see how Akagi is more or less irreplaceable, so it's kind of natural, plus I wouldn't be surprised if historically there is something as well.

I don't mind the character and I actually enjoy satirical representation like these. Is good to laugh at myself every now and then you know?

Having said that, the lack of proper yuri is the only thing that keeps me from fully enjoying the story. With some seriousness to balance the comedy th whole thing feels off.

And the sad thing is we know the author is perfectly capable of pulling off really good couples.

It all depends on which network it will be, there have been instances where it has been aired relatively uncensored. AT-X is one channel, it's been a long time since I've watched ecchi or borderline hentai anime.

There is a chance it will be uncensored, but as I said it depends largely what channel picks it up. The bigger percent though is that it will be censored.

^ To be honest I forgot that Akagi tied her hands and basically said 'let me return the favor' xD Though I'm interested to see what kind of reason Akagi has for denying Kaga saying she loves her and if she indeed loves her back, why would she prolong the 'friends with benefits' thing and not just say it back. I can't think of a reason.
