And what a chapter it was! It was so down to earth yet had a lot of actual reveals in it.
I am sure most people will jump to the fact that Sayaka has a new girlfriend of course, but that's somehow the least surprising thing to me.
Let's see... Yuu cut her pigtails (what a shame), but still looks super cute. Touko is already a real actress in college, which is terrifying. That girl is too good at pretending to be someone else :P

Then there is the ring. The ring. The rinnnnnng! I did see it on Page 26 and was like "Maybe I'm seeing things, could be an error." Then they actually focused on it in the final pages and confirmed it was real. Yeeeeah!

I didn't see a chapter title anywhere, but it's a missed opportunity not to call it "I can reach the stars" now.

So in conclusion, Manaka x Midori was in our hearts all along.
And I still don't get Nakatani's fetish with baggy/oversized clothing.

^Might be a personal issue, but I can't see how you can be "raised" as a girl when you already remember an entire life of being a guy. The series is weird in general, but to each their own.

^Darkness started to heavily focus on Yami and Rito's forced interest in each other, so I think it was dead on arrival (although I stopped reading Darkness like halfway through. Too unbearable).
PS: There is another yuri ship that was kinda teased in Darkness. Nana and Mea. Of course I have no hope that ever worked out.

Well the entire game is one big joke on the fact that in the timeline they date Riki and Kunio in like... one game. The other games were all the "antagonists" dating those two. So basically it's all one big delusion right from the start, which long time fans would have known since the trailer.

I suppose this doesn't need a subtext tag, but Satou is certainly not entirely straight pfff (The Romance movie and Hangover chapters being the prime examples).

This is just all around really funny, yet painfully realistic to online culture. Everyone has done something from this manga at least once. I haven't laughed this hard in a while (the Hangover chapter killed me).

And you know there’s no arguing with a shipper—even a funhouse mirror one.

I can't really deny it, but when someone claims they have actual good reasoning to their points I feel like it's worth discussing them.
Sadly Loralei hasn't revealed any good reasoning yet and instead seems to base this dislike on personal bias/experience, so it does start to feel futile.

I never realized that Shamiko's memory of how Momo saved her in episode 1 was so distorted. That's a really fun detail and makes our peach colored magical girl seem even more gallant to her (as if the Opening didn't already portray her as some sort of savior).

But that's the point: Nanaki doesn't understand what Kanade likes. All the time she looks at her through her popular eye. And I am certain Kanade just says okay to not make Nanaki mad again.

Of course the fact that Fujishiro actively went out of her way to understand Kurokawa better or the fact that Kurokawa several times said thank you to her for helping her to become prettier are just not good enough for you. Inner monologue on Kurokawa's side that explicitly stated that she is happier this way and that being like Fujishiro is her way to become more courageous. She was trapped in just helping other girls to be the "princess", but Fujishiro is giving her the strength to also believe in her own beauty.

They don't have "better" matches around, because better doesn't matter. They are in love with each other. Love does not work on a point system.

I'm surprised she actually stopped (at least I believe she will). I can definitely see how her presence was necessary to help Asuka realize her feelings now, but it was still a shitty thing to do. She just took advantage of her.

Though that one panel of an alternate timeline where Asuka isn't related to Ayako, with Akira going out with her, now that would be the best timeline. lol
