Asperger syndrome is an autism spectrum disorder, and the manga reflects Akagi's own experiences as a child. Akagi said she hopes the manga helps educate people who are unfamiliar with Asperger's and support people worrying about the disorder.

A few days ago, I spent the day with Rei Mizuna (again).

There was a moment when we were trying to decide who would take a bath first when we though, why don't we just go in together?

And so, we had a bathtub party.

We talked about about everything, from big issues/problems to meaningless fluff. The hours just flew by.

We weren't shrieking like girls in the way you guys would anticipate. Not at all.

Like a long-time married couple, we just got changed and got into the bath normally.

Or rather, I really want us to be family.

They've spent a lot of time together (they spend the last two christmas together for example) and Asakawa has been vocal about being open to the idea of dating a girl so it doesn't come from nowhere. Of course, it exists the possibility of all of this being a PR stunt, Asakawa posting drunk or a simple joke. But if the situation is indeed real, it would be something very special since it would make Asakawa the first Seiyuu to actually be in a gay marriage.
