Speaking of that, age of consent law was changed in Japan couple weeks ago. It's now universal 16, across the board.

Also, grooming and seducing someone who is younger than 16 is now a crime, it didn't really used to be under federal law (local laws were a different issue).

Definition of rape was broadened, before it had to include physical forcing against a victim who openly messaged they do not want it. Rape conviction was hard to land, even in cases where context of the situation indicated it was one. Now Japanese law follows western interpretations more closely, putting more responsibility to anyone who is taking initiative.

Lot better than the ancient laws from 1907. Big reason why this happened was a bunch of horrible rape cases leading to acquittal of a clear-cut rapist because of technicalities, like panel "doubting that victim was actually trying to resist being raped by her father" and such. This caused a citizen movement in 2019, and now the legal battle finally bore fruit.

Wow that is great news, the idea that when a person is intoxicated or petrified by fear/intimidation and thus not resisting so it can't be raped is just downright disgusting. Sexual assault is such a taboo and shameful thing in Japan just a tiny fraction of victims actually report them.

Hitomi and Azuma fell through a plothole and it sucks.

I feel you. :(

First chapters Mai is a completely different character from final arc Mai.

From a precocious seductive vamp who used her feminine wiles to drive Tae crazy to a 'Huh? What's love? Huh?' stock tot.

Can you call that precocious that she only unconsciously seduced tae because of her adult like Body? Don't forget she's a 10 year old kid supposedly, how would she know much about love?

But yeah, I feel like in the beginning the author just wanted to make a short gag series with slightly spicy situation's.
Once it got serialized it became more mainstream and harmless. Like the author didn't know how to stretch that concept in the long run, without getting dangerously in the wrong direction. The result was Mai acting more tame.

It was still an enjoyable read though.

I hope they'll add a little bonus when Mai is an adult, I really enjoyed this and the author seems to be quite nice.

I gotta admit though there's a double standard on my end, if onee San was actually a middle aged dude I would be totally disgusted and never touch this with a ten foot pole XD.

This is a weird one, there should be a special genre for where a gay girl gets blackmailed and assaulted by a guy and she goes along with it against her will for dumbass reasons straight out of your typical doujin.

There's a redemption arc that's even more insulting imo but yeah.

I wanna add I have no problem with this Manga perse, I mean not everything has to be pure Yuri fluff where man don't exist. If you like a mix of rapey shoujo with shoujo ai tacked on, go for it.

Everyone else who can't stomach this stay clear or at least wait till all chapter's are released so you are not pissed off till the next release

How is nanase so eager to go out and hold hands in public with a friend but she can't do it with her girlfriend
Truly a mystery of anthropology

She just learned she got cheated on in a not particularly nice way so cut her some slack? And Yuki grabbed her hand when she tripped since you know shes walking on crutches. Doesn't look eager to me.
And this is probably the first time she did that since she can't do club anymore.

Pretty disappointing how Yuni was not confronted or made to feel the consequences of her actions. But with this author I am not surprised. She loves the cheater. I hope Nanase moves on and stop wasting her time with the trash that is Yuni.

The thing is it's mostly the reader's who love the cheaters. If you check her twitter, comments on Amazon etc japanese reader's love Fuuko and Yuni and their toxic relationship.

But don't worry the author doesn't lack common sense and knows too well Yuni is trash, in one of her tweets to a chapter she released on Twitter she even said that herself. So I might be wrong but it could go all ways.

So far I don't see a happy ending for Yuni,
unless she reconciles with Nanase and they start to communicate and having a relationship with mutual understanding, you know talking about their anxieties, needs etc..

I gotta say I'm incredibly happy with this chapter, too bad Nanase is injured or she might have thrown some fists.

Admittingly though now that the cheating is out and Nanase took it better than I expected the excitement is wearing off. I mean I don't know how you guys feel but since they all kinda suck (while Nanase is just naive) I don't feel much empathy anymore, even if Yuni now agrees to have sex with Fuuko again it's like been there done that.

Imo the author is giving Yuni and Fuuko barely any redeeming features making you not caring about them all that much. In this way no matter how things will end up you lacking empathy for the characters leads to low investment.

I hope things will pick up or it might get stale

I just noticed something, when reading chapter 10 and 17 in parallel.

In 17, Fuuko takes the "blame" for the cheating, not mentioning that the one who initiated sex was Yuni. Just keeping on manipulating Yuni into making it "not her fault".

Also, in CH10, it insists visually on the book about the caterpillar fungus. You know, the fungus that invades a living organism, makes it a zombie, and eventually kills it from the inside to develop itself.

Ie, from the beginning, Fuuko's plan was to parasitize Yuni and Nanase's relationship and kill it from the inside.

That was very attentive of you, and yes Fuuko is like a parasite eating away at them both while enjoying playing with Yuni and hurting Nanase.

You know I have no problem with Fuuko making her moves on yuni if she Truly loves her but the way shes going at it is just so unhealthy and toxic. I don't see them ever having a remotely wholesome relationship. One of the reason it really surprises me people rooting for her but hey she's charming and Handsome, one might be surprised with how much bs those people get away with.

Fuuko seems to be really angry at Nanase for taking yuni granted and neglecting her, prolly because Fuukos own love life is a mess.

Why would she immediately run to her ex the moment she hears she's single again

joined Jun 27, 2022

Yes according to mangas you should go out with every person you don't like romantically but don't hate either :')

This whole manga starts to remind of "bloom into you" but more mature

I so hope Fuyuki starts something with her senpai even though casual relationships are not the most healthy thing you can do it's still better than that.

Those close het friends can be a real pain in the ass x)

I think seeing the comments here the author got exactly what they wanted with the beginning and title. Alot of traffic through controversy, most of the comments are about the het.

So far its pretty hollow and I dunno really rough to read? I hope it gets better

I like that she already got found out by at least someone

This is one of those mangas where you need a bulk of chapters to get really invested, so far it didn't click at all

I'm just afraid this is going from an interesting manga about cheating and angsty teen drama to a weird cuckold fetish fantasy hentai.

So far it was still somewhat relatable and I enjoyed it but I do hope from chapter 18 onwards there will be real consequences for everyone involved. It's getting so ridiculous I can't take this story seriously anymore and then I lose all interest.

Sorry I do like this Manga but Nanase just chilling there watching this is getting too ridiculous for me.

I think this chapter is starting to hint at why Lapis seems to be diving headlong into cackling evil villainy: That's exactly what she's doing.

The way she was talking about how the prince was a player and he needed to be ready to sacrifice pieces, while holding a queen that she ultimately lets fall, implies that she thinks the prince should be willing to sacrifice her. This also seems to line up with the way Natori describes her rampage ending with the prince solidifying his position and Diana gaining authority as a voice of the commoners, who also showed the power they can exert if pushed too far.

When we first saw her scheming, it seemed kind of weird and silly, because obviously slaughtering a bunch of people isn't going to cow their allies, but it is a great way to make everyone hate you and to cast whoever stops you as a Hero. If you do it right, you might even be able to take down the more problematic conservatives at the same time.

What natori described were ingame events to keep the plot going, no everything has changed and there might be more to it. It's a shame that natori still in her many monologues did not disclose what Lapis plans exactly are.

Im just saying since Natori came into the game the characters became real and much more fleshed out so Lapis will not willingly sacrifice herself to solidify grans and Diana's position. Her dialogue with gran might also just be her self insert, how she would be willing to sacrifice pieces for her goals.

She genuinely seems to hate commoners so will do anything to suppress them and the pro-commoner noble faction. I wouldn't be surprised if some past trauma involving commonors made her despise them so much, maybe something happened to her childhood friend with precognition? Or maybe she truly is just an elitist evil noble who dislikes commoners.

But yeah you are right Lapis already considers the fact she will not make it. Lapis told Natori to take care of herself and disavowing her in case she falls from grace.

Tbh dont feel too bad for them, they are still young and have time to figure things out. Also it's really stupid to bet everything on that one job interview. Shit like this can always happen and it's not the end of the world.

Just saying dont feel too angsty, they have each other and family who still cares about them, thats more than a lot of people can say.

A diploma can help you get by in life but it's not a must have to find happiness and stability. I didn't finish my studies at university and struggled to find a job where I could keep a healthy mind. Eventually after a lot of different jobs and setbacks I found a place where I proved myself and made it pretty far and still climbing the latter, no one cares about my lack of studies anymore.

I know you should never compare yourself with others, everyone is different and deals with shit in their own way. Just because one could do it even with all the bullshit doesn't mean you can expect someone else to do it too.

As long as they don't give up and keep talking to each other they will be fine. I really like this story since you dont have that many Yuri mangas that are a little more down to earth.

Author prolly wants to spice things up since it's getting stale. This Manga borderlines on hentai anyways since the story is just as stupid as your average 23p doujin and its all about the sex, there's nothing else going on here besides some comedy.

I would just take it for it is, a stupid erotic Yuri comedy that doesn't take itself seriously.

More likely scenario is Mai will tell/ask Tae about romance and then Tae will avoid Mai after realizing how her first love will never come to pass because of the age gap. Maybe throw in some guilt about keeping Mai from people her own age as well.... then Mai will chase after Tae!

I feel like Mai will give the boy a "let me think about it", go through a short arc of figuring out her feelings (possibly by asking Tae about love, giving us flustered Tae comedy), then turn him down when she realizes she loves Tae.

Pretty much this, random-kun is just a plot device to spice things up. I hope the pace will pick up and we get more time skip's. It's cute and all but I wouldn't mind Mai getting older so things become more interesting.

But that would kill the main focus I guess

Yaoi goggles are ON for this chapter.

YESSS

I thought it was just my yuri goggles malfunctioning, but it appears I'm not the only one who noticed they had a bit of chemistry.

I hope you guys are right, it would be very interesting to see something blossoming there. But I think they will have more of a bromance

I saw in japanese polls that Diana is more popular than Lapis, it's not surprising since shes way more relatable and open with her feelings. The scary face she puts on when fighting is something else.

I still prefer Lapis, her expressions might be limited but they look absolutely gorgeous. Hopefully the story will shift back to Lapis and natori in the future chapter's. We need more character Growth for Lapis

Well y'all better get used to Baba-Kun cause he will come back frequently

This Author is just incapable of writing a good story, same with their other series, my sister's crush or whatever. Nonetheless the first volume is popular enough in Japan so what do I know :')

Damn thats a pretty harsh comment dont you think? I mean if you don't like the authors writing that's fair enough. I think the main charm of this authors stories for me is how there are flawed characters that have to slowly figure out their shit. Very entertaining but not for everyone. Also, was it really necessary to send this 6 times?

Holy smokes, thx for telling me, I just deleted the other comments XD
