Yeah I don't really see any indication that Eko killed them. On the other hand, it's a bit odd that zombies would wander in while she was absent and the other lookout was sleeping, killed everyone by surprise and then left again before Eko and Risa came back around.
If Eko actually killed them, I'm sure we'll get confirmation of that soon enough.

You're not wrong, but you're also looking at it from an adult's point of view. Nakanishi clearly considers herself to be mature enough for a relationship with Kaede, she explicitly asked Kaede to date her, and so to her "you're a student and I'm your teacher" would sound like a lame excuse. That's part of the problem here -- she's still too immature to understand why a student/teacher relationship is wrong. So by approaching her on her own terms, "as an adult," Kaede is able to explain herself in a way Nakanishi can understand and accept.

yeah like, considering the last couple chapters, on top of her own experience with unrequited love, Kaede was obviously rejecting Nakanishi on a level she'd be able to accept rather than outright stating a teacher cannot date their student.

And sure this leaves the "implication" that Kaede could have dated Nakanishi if she hadn't already been dating someone, if you discard the previous four chapters which were largely about how a teacher should not date their students, both morally and legally.

Well the obvious implication of "a teacher cannot date their student" would be "well then I'll try to get with her once I graduate", which people understandably also object to.

We don't say "adorkable" anymore, do we? That was, like, 2011, right? Too bad.

"Oh, a new chapter", I told myself, "but I'm too tired, I'll read it tomorrow". Before I finished the thought, I had opened the chapter and started reading. I love this author. Thanks for the translation as usual.

[Moved from the other thread that's now under "General"]
Umm, okay... that's... I'd say it counts as bullying, even though it also has the effect of (temporarily) preventing her suicide.

^^ If "Dropped" means no continuous translation is being submitted, what do we use for comic that has been axed by editors/publishing companies and doesn't even have an ending?

Probably Cancelled. :(

I've only read up to chapter 31 over there so far and while I really don't think it compares favorably to the great quality Yuri Ichigo and Knight Heron had been providing here, it's been okay.
I'm much more surprised that it actually survived last week's Great Purge.

I'm game, here's hoping it sticks the landing a bit better than this did. I'll brace for a loooooooooot of fakeouts though.

Sensei's new series starting on June 2nd~!

Nice. Love the artstyle, here's hoping it'll have a bit of a more satisfying conclusion this time.

While swapping phones was certainly bad, it's not bad on the level of a villain protagonist. Other than that all she's done so far is help Risa and kill zombies. I'm also curious to see where her character goes from here, though.

Yeah maybe I'm giving that too much weight. I guess this story by Murasakino is living rent-free in my head.

I'd say she qualifies more as an antihero so far because she hasn't actually done anything bad yet. (Being happy that she gets to kill her former bully is bad but only mentally, not in terms of her actual action.) If she actually does murder Miya then she will go over the line to villain protagonist, but it's pretty up in the air whether she'll actually follow through with that, especially since she actually seems to enjoy texting with Miya lol.

Except I'd say she has done bad things already. She's swapped her phone with Risa's in order to keep them apart and get closer to Miya with intent to kill. Doesn't mean she can't end up becoming an antihero, but currently I'm not sure she'll stumble down that path.

I think it'll be entertaining either way, whether she gets "reformed", reintegrates into society and accepts Miya or even comes to form a throuple with her and Risa, or (more likely imo) descends into becoming a subversive, destructive force. A character that not only would keep being bitten by a zombie a secret, but would deliberately sabotage a survivor group (sans Risa) to wipe them out. I think that much is teased already.

Cute. ^_^

And the "not cute" guy reminds me way too much of this... :P

oh wow thanks for pointing us to that one :D

I didn't expect to enjoy the show, but man is it a riot.
May start reading the manga once the show is done, so thanks for bringing it here.

Mmmh this is gonna have such a happy end!

Hmm does Eko qualify as an antihero or would she be just a villain? Like, neither her morals nor her actions are heroic. Aside from "I wanna be with Risa", she doesn't seem to have any motivation and she doesn't really do anything "good", while instead planning to do "evil". If I recall correctly, an antihero normally is a deeply flawed character that ends up doing the right thing, even if not for "heroic" motivations and without espousing "heroic virtues".

Hmmm normally I'm a staunch proponent of "fictional characters are not protected from their creators (or fans) by human rights", but looking at Hinami's diary...
[chuckles] I'm in danger! (insert Ralph meme)

It's possible that the main character's journey will instead be about growing a backbone and learning to say no, but that kind of conflicts with the mystery-solving thing (since growing a backbone means saying no to the mystery-solving crap), and shifting all of the blame on her for her mistreatment would be all kinds of gross anyway.

I don't see where you got the idea that mystery solving will be a major focus of this. Aside from the mystery "how do I get rid of these allegations/rumors without exposing my girlfriend".

My only series that got hit at the moment is the "sadistic childhood friend" one.

I'll keep on posting it here anyway.

Thanks, I've been following that one religiously since you started :D

Maaaaan, almost all the series I was reading/wanting to read over there got hit. Currently the list on reddit is at over 700 entries (overall, not just yuri), both old/long completed as well as new/ongoing series. The old ones you can find elsewhere, sure, but I'm a bit worried for the ongoing ones, not sure how many of those were being uploaded elsewhere in parallel.

Dangit, I hadn't gotten back to reading Arioto on mangadex and that's gone too. Hana ni arashi was also on my "eventually" list.
Virgin's Empire got nuked as well.

Personally I think the tone of the series is weirdly uncomfortable and off putting at the moment [...]

Good, that means it's working as intended. (in my view)

I invite any of you guys to explain what the reader is intended to take away from all the extremely banal straggotry the main character keeps enduring, with literally no narrative pushback so far, beyond "lol that's crazy" or "hear me out guys".

I am not sure what you mean. Our main character is a meek pushover lacking people skills and self-confidence. Narratively we're still setting up the mess her inability to speak up gets her into. We're not at the "solving" or "growth" portion yet, we're in the early stages of rising plot.
