This really was the worst use of a 2-page spread I've ever seen. Maybe the significance of it will be apparent after a few more chapters. Then again, maybe not.

Like in this one—the hind legs seem significantly shorter than the front ones, and although the dog is notably lacking in overall detail, we’re given a shot of its butthole.

...I came here to comment on the dog, too. It looks like a creature that is usually a biped but happens to be on all fours right there. It's probably searching for things to assimilate so that it can evolve into its next form.

I knew after the first chapter that I probably wouldn't know how I felt about this one until the series was over. I don't hate it, though. I'm a believer of couples trying to work through their problems, but in this case, it feels like it was just a marriage of convenience to begin with, on both sides. You know, not sure what was there at the start is worth salvaging.
...but then we wouldn't have a messy story now, would we?

I actually sorta liked the first chapter, just felt it was rushed for what the author was trying to convey. These two are realistically awkward, not the usual blown out of proportion kind of awkward. I find it charming.

to clarify, here's what i meant: i've read a lot of yuri, and i think the angles and poses this mangaka uses seem to be drawing from a style i've seen mostly used in hentai. personally, i don't react that way when trying on a shoe that is too tight.

I'm not sure if their start was in hentai or not, but I do kind of get what you're saying here. They have a series available in English called DNA Doesn't Tell Us, which while mostly innocent cute fun, is full of fanservice. Every chapter has girls in positions that are drawn in a way that could just seem like pandering, not to mention the whole premise has girls turning into animals and then back to human, only with their clothes either completely gone or torn (with plenty of well placed branches/bubbles/etc), but like... it's really cute, not even PG-13. I get the feeling this author just /really/ likes drawing cute girls in cute poses doing cute things. That said, DNA also has a lot of info about animal behavior, which is comparable to how this one looks like it's going to be informative on bouldering/rock climbing.

The most blatant sex thing I've come across of Mintarou's was in the 5th issue of galettemeets, Galette's offshoot of more mature stuff, which involves a 6-page short where two girls are being intimate during a zombie outbreak at a school. It isn't very graphic.

^It says 2 for me, too... and I'm also a follower. Highly doubt 5Cats and me are the only ones, weird.

Mintarou's stuff always has a certain spastic quality to it. I love it.

Blue Reflection, it's available on PS4 and Steam. It's more or less a turn based JRPG where you play as a girl who used to be a ballerina who borks up her knee (or ankle, it's been a couple years since I played it) and gets turned into a magical girl who goes around fixing the problems of other girls at her school. One of the girls is pretty gay for her (out of, I dunno, 10 of them or so). It's not the greatest game, but I personally found it charming and it has a really good soundtrack. Also when it rains in game, you see the girls' bras through their shirts, cause boobs.

That said, it does feel kind of visual novelish. In reading what I wrote, I made it seem more... erm, exciting? than what it is. It has a very low key feel to it. The boss fights are kinda cool, though, has some kaiju stuff going on there.
