This series never seizes to amuse me.

Really cute moments and a nice artstyle, although I wish something more had happened in it, but I'll take anything i can get with these two.

Watching 150 episodes of Aikatsu was worth it just to get to these two bumpkins.

I've watch Aikatsu for quite some time and it's still like episode 1 all over again when i saw these two =w=
They make a very cute couple =w=

When Akari and Sumire were introduced, I honestly lost most of the enjoyment from the series that I felt when I watched Ichigo, Aoi and Ran. And even though I think Sumire and Akari are cute together, they really don't have much of an impact imo.
But Nono and Risa truly bring those exciting feelings back from when Ichigo and Aoi first started being idols.
Here's to hoping the series gives them lots of air time as well as plenty of cute moments.
And of course, hopefully we'll get lots of doujins with them as well. :D

Tooru hugging Kobayashi at the end was super adorable, I want more moments like that.

I feel like there's a joke I'm missing with the 25252 combo, that everyone's laughing at.

I mean, I understand it's from a rhythm game (I guess?) but I don't get what it has to do with...the bathroom.

252 reads individually as "ni go ni" in Japanese, which sounds similar to "nico nii".
25252 is the same but extended, so it's "nico nico nii".

Nico also has 25 on her underwear, which reads as "Nico".

In the original she says something like "It's a big one", but I thought that was too confusing in English so I tried to find a better way to say it without explicitly writing "I have to take a ****".

Always a useful house division to have.

Ona-ken (A "yuri" game about masturbation) has been released on Steam for free and in an all ages state (so basically like 10% of the actual product). They changed the description to be all ages too and they're linking to the full, paid product on dlsite in the description box so people can buy it if they want to. It's pretty unprecendented on Steam so one has to wonder if they'll get upset about it. If they do, we'll kind of know how Steam feels about porn games.

Thing is, yuri VNs really don't have that big of a place in the market to begin with. Most of the decent ones are currently localized already, so you're kind of running out of material on Japan's side.
I guess the SonoHana series is a possibility (And MG recently partnered with one of the subsidiaries so there's hope!) but outside of that you'll be grasping at straws to find good yuri VNs to localize.
And by good I mean yuri VNs that aren't just straight up porn.

I'd like to see Seisai no Resonance being localized, if anything.

Well yes, Naoto is totally gay for that dude, i was just giving an example of why Akari and Sena is pretty random and makes little sense.
The spoilers are related to the Aikatsu movie's plot, nothing else.
There's no canon het in Aikatsu.

Must resist the urge to rant about how much I hate this pairing.... The art was pretty!

I'm not one to fret over het pairings but Sena is such an irrelevant entity in the series that I just don't get why you'd pair him with Akari.
It'd be like pairing up Ichigo and Naoto. (At least Naoto is a bit more interesting than Sena though mumble mumble)

The only interesting male in the Aikatsu universe is Johnny anyway.

For anyone interested The Shadows of Pygmalion has been picked up by MangaGamer as well. Another yuri game that is 15+ but is a little darker.

Sadly this is one of Propeller's worst games.
While not a super bad visual novel as a whole compared to other visual novels on the market, it's very bland and has a story riddled with plot holes and kinda bad pacing and it's definitely not as good as Yurirei (which is probably the best Yuri VN in existence right now). It's basically a title that feels like Propeller didn't really care to put effort into.

Also, the game has tons of technical bugs that literally make it unplayable (crashes left and right) and even force you to skip chunks of text that would otherwise crash your game if you read them (hopefully these will be fixed in the localized version though).

Although I have no doubt that if you're a real yuri die hard fan, you can probably take some level of enjoyment out of it.

I've been saying this a lot but the reason this game is on Steam is because it never broke any of Steam's rules to begin with.

This is not a "first step" towards anything, it's just that this game does not have explicit nudity or graphical sexual content and thus can easily get an M rating which has been allowed on Steam since forever. Doddler himself (the guy who programmed this game for MG) has stated this isn't even the most sexually explicit game on Steam and the press is being a bit ridiculous about it which he even kind of fears might have negative effects in the long run.

Don't take this as me being negative though, I'm happy this game is getting publicity, but the way people are making it out to be in most outlets is ridiculously exaggerated and focuses on making this game to be literally just lesbian porn which is absurdand doesn't do the game any justice at all. ANN was the only website I saw to report on this game without emphasizing the sexual content.

The sole reason I hold this opinion is because i don't want this game, which is a really good title in Liar Soft's library and could potentially open up more deals with the company, to be perceived as something it's not. Although i know in the end it's just going to result in Steam Reviews saying "Played this with my left hand. 11/10".

Pripara is a Pretty Rhythm spin off series that's essentially an idol show full of friendship and color. No fanservice or anything you see in the mainstream PG13 idol shows like IM@S or Love Live, it's just a pure cutesy idol show with some fantasy elements, it's even more easygoing than Aikatsu to some extent.
I recently started watching it and can't get enough (it's destroying my sleep schedule~), I even ended up ordering a couple nendoroids from it already because I'm hopeless.

In terms of yuri, given that it's a kids show, there's really nothing much to see here, but I think the friendship is really nice and enough to carry the show, you can get your yuri needs filled with fanart later.

I wish there was more to translate but sadly no one really scans Pripara yuri as far as I know and the show isn't really SUPER popular in comparison to its rival series Aikatsu so it's not like there's tons of material either. :<
But if you ever find anything, I'm all ears!

I hope at least some people here will try the show out, Pripara really needs some more love!
