While I see value in the idea, I believe it's been established since the redesign of the site that character tags won't (or perhaps, can't) be supported.

In my exp, the people who relate to Catra are disasters who consciously make bad decisions, a character type that is pretty underrepresented on TV. We stan Catra, our queen. But I do hope the plot continues to carry the show for you! It's definitely worth watching even if you're not into Catradora, some parts are just excellently done.

The translator of Binbou has said all he wishes to say on this topic publicly, so whatever reasons - or lack thereof - given are as good as it gets. You're all welcome to have your own views of our policies, I will always encourage criticism. While you're correct, drpepperfan's role in Binbou was as a QC, which is relatively minor. When I said "collaborations," I specifically meant (as did drpepperfan) works which their two individual groups collaborated on. The translator was the leader of Binbou and drpepperfan was aware of that when he opted to participate as a member of Binbou (as he was for Fuzoroi no Renri and many others). The person behind RayDistance (the other group that made early releases for this series possible) has given their consent for the removal of their work with Binbou. Other cross-group collaborations have been left on the site and will continue to be, unless we are given affirmative consent from those collaborators.

Additionally drpepperfan was fully involved in all aspects of our discussion with Binbou. His preferences took priority and his wishes were respected. Again, feel free to disagree with or criticise the result, but please consider the full context given before coming to your own conclusion. Personally I've been disappointed to see nearly every criticism made focus on Binbou, or a specific site policy. Whatever happens here is solely the responsibility of the staff, in this case especially mine, and whatever positive or negative results occur lie solely with us.

Besides the chapters of this series what else ended up getting removed?

Here's a list of Binbou's translations. I think almost all of them were removed.
There were also a fair number of images removed. I managed to save them all, but unfortunately couldn't archive Binbou's manga translations because of Dynasty's download limitations.

A further "official" post will be made about what was removed at a later date, I don't think I have enough interest to do it for the time being.

More accurately, one person unilaterally had all of the groups' works removed despite the protest of another person who worked together on the scanlations. Still rubs me the wrong way that Dynasty's staff indulged that selfish tantrum.

Hey, I'm the primary other member of Binbou from 2013-2016. The one protesting in this instance was drpepperfan, whose collaborations with Binbou remain on the site (with those credits for Binbou now removed). Who are you referring to that was ignored?

Thanks for the report. I don't have any insight to offer, but with MangaDex returning very soon, I expect accessibility and speed issues to improve very soon, and significantly.

I've had the same issues for a while now and I'm pretty sure it's because so many chapters get uploaded at ridiculously high resolutions. Might be something worth checking out.

We're aware and it's been discussed. I'd filter chapter-specific issues into two areas, the first being upscaled images that you describe. The second being incorrectly saved images, typically PNG-24 where PNG-8 is appropriate or 100 JPG quality where PNG-24 is more appropriate.

The first is easy to correct but goes against a primary motivation behind the site (delivering whatever the scanlator intends to deliver), while also being a rather large waste of resources, given the userbase is around 70% mobile and won't benefit from 4K or similar. The second is harder to correct but would save a significant deal of resources with no drawbacks.

I'm hopeful that we'll have a solution to one or both of these issues in the near-future, but in the meantime I'll do my best to correct the second wherever I see it.

The site has been experiencing significantly high traffic since MangaDex's outage became semi-permanent in late March. Daily and monthly visits/visitors have risen over 20%, with peak days (Saturday, Sunday, Monday) seeing increases of up to 40%. This has placed us near maximum capacity with some frequency (typically resulting in a time out / "something went wrong" page). In the meanwhile, some measures have been taken to address speed and reliability issues, but the near-term effect of those changes has been negative for at least some portion of users. My understanding is that the experience will continue improving for everyone as more time passes.

To give a more pointed answer, I made some changes on Friday that may have caused a significant number of time outs for a period of several hours. Otherwise, weekends often see high load and small back-end changes can compound the effects of that load under some circumstances. The problem should ease through the week. If it continues for you, please let us know.
