Did it end with het or stay ambiguous? Is it worth to watch the whole series for it?

It's definitely not worth watching it for the "Yuri". Kumiko hasn't responded yet, but the hairpin scene happened, the same scene that initiated the het in the novels.
And considering how they literally rubbed Reina"s crush for Taki in our face, as well as Kumiko fully supporting her to it, I think it's highly possible what the outcome will be.

Even if someone doesn't care about shipping, the writing is pretty bad. Reina's character has been destroyed and now it's going to be the same for Kumiko.
They should had either keep all Yuri outside since the first season, or remove the het from the second. Or make it completely without romance and only about music/friendship.

I don't understand why some people deem something trashy just because there is fanservice.
Echii is a whole category of anime, so calling something trashy because it's on character for its genre is not right imo. This word is pretty heavy to say without backing it up with some explanation.

I'm not a fan of incest at all, but Candy boy was pretty nice. It was more of a subtext to me though. That kiss in this end was portrayed more like a joke than romantic.

There is nothing we can do about it. It comes down to what everyone can handle. Besides yuri is a niche genre, and a lot of people don't care about this.
I just wish this won't get any more seasons because Kumiko will end up with Shuichi sooner or later. And it would be nice if this season doesn't sell as much.

On another note, today is Izetta last episode and it's sad to see this over. Last episode was pretty sweet

Everyone knew this had high chances for bait. It's just that some people are willing to give it a chance before the actual het appears.

Well in Tamako market it was obvious Tamako didn't feel anything gay for her friend. So no surprise to me there.
What about the others? I haven't watched Lucky Star or anything, but these shows are about very young girls. So expecting a confirmed Yuri romance from them is a bit too much imo.

Hibike season 1 was pretty gay. There was only one mention of Taki and none of Shuichi. So, having the director saying they don't want to turn this into a shujo anime, I thought we would be fine with the Kumiko and Shuichi parts.
I wouldn't have imagined the het would come from Reina. And in this way too.
After their trip and Reina mentioning Taki more and more, I thought we were done. So I was like, ok we are done with this and now we can go back to KimiRei doing stuff together.
But turns out they dragged this thing all over the season, which I didn't expect to go this far.

I don't care about canon Yuri confirmations or kisses, as long as they have good chemistry and it's obvious they like each other.
I think some Yuri fans are going overboard with wanting to have a canon kiss etc though.
Remember these shows are also intended for younger audiences too, and canon Yuri puts off some of them.
Not everything has to pander to a specific audience, so keep repeating that this will never be canon and trying to make people not watch it is annoying. And I'm referring to the time before season 2 started.
Let them decide when they want to drop something or not.

This was actually a cute chapter. Hotaru is drawn a bit differently here. She seems more sweet than usual in some panels.

KyoAni didn't ruined Reina. That was her character all the time.

I disagree. She is an anime character and unlike real people, her personality is not something that is always there. It is something that changes and develops according to the creators.
She did had a crush on Taki on season 1 too, but she never had shown this brain-dead part. They could at least chose not to make her act so weird and still keep her crush for him.

I don't know what exactly happens in the novels, but since they changed Shuichi's importance so much, they could do the same with Taki.
But it's true that the author was pretty persistent this was all just adolescence, and that they were simply best friends .
I still think though KyoAni could have stopped earlier without dragging it all over the whole season.

I watched the first (double) episode of S2. Decided that it's already a perfect ending for the franchise (the gay firework watching) so was waiting till S2 finished to see whether it's worth to watch it....

If you are here for the yuri, no. In general it's not that bad, it's just Reina that has ruined it imo. Ironically, she was the one who made it great in S1

I've dropped Hibike. Reina's weird obsession with Taki is just distasteful. Not because of the het, but because of how degraded her character has turned.
She was really cool in S1, now it just seems she would even lick the floor if Taki asked her too.
Besides that, Kumiko is developed pretty nicely and has made new friends. Hope they don't ef up her too in the end.

Even thought Seju knew it would hurt Sumin, she still ruined Sumin and Sungji's relationship. Her dark side sure attracts lot of haters. Sumin is not that bad these days I'd say. Although, Seju turned her into a cheater, she didn't blame Seju one bit.

It would be ridiculous if Sumin blamed Seju lol. Because Sumin willingly cheated too. She wasn't forced or anything. Yet no one seems to blame Sumin for cheating, but when it was Seju she got a lot hate

There is no such thing as being straight one day and then not. They always were bi (probably not gay) but hadn't discovered it yet. It's like we said someone is not straight until they fall in love with someone of the opposite sex.

Seol-a and No-Rae are not straight lol.
I can see how it's slow paced and not everyone's cup of tea but there's difference between being straight and just discovering not being one.

Just for your information, FF came first. And when it went on hiatus in March, LD showed up after a while. You can dislike something, but if you have nothing constructive to say, better not say it. Because it looks like trolling. I have nothing against LD, just saying even though they are similar, FF is still better imo.

Back on wdtfs, seems like Seju is going to suffer again. I hope they don't make Sumin go back with her because she feels guilty. The ending is pretty obvious, but I still think they should have develop Sungji s character a bit different. Because it seems like her only identity so far is loving Sumin.

It feels like it's not actually a development, because it's just drama coming from third parties outside the main protagonists. Maybe they should have made a chapter about Sungji going on a trip by herself, thinking of Sumin. Or have her visit her familly and talk about her break up. It would feel more real, but of couse Gaji knows better why they add these specific plots.

Since arc 3, WDTFS is trying to fill the missing chapters until the end with these added characters imo. Side characters are important, but they should have been more fleshed out, instead of showing up just the right moment to slow the progress.

Love Doctor imo is trying too hard to become the new FF. It feels like they have copied a lot stuff from FF, but at the same time I don't get the same feelings like I did in FF. It's just missing this x factor that made FF interesting to read and real.

Wasn't a fan of the manga, but this trailer seems fun and the song definitely suits it. I'll follow the anime.

Best thing they gave the fandom in the finalle. Felt like they were rushing to getting over with this manga, but at least we got another pairing confirmation.

Yes they probably did, but they got more screentime together than Kasumi and Hibiki, and some people like seeing a hate relationship turning into love or lust. Just maybe why this author drew them together too.

I seem to be the only one who didn't like them.

They didn't really stick out to me either. I liked the the girl who could grow into a giant and her gf, Mamori and Mirei, and Kasumi and Hibiki, but it seems a lot of people saw fit to diminish or make fun of them for one reason or another, which they're entitled to do I suppose.

I, on the other hand liked them from the first seconds they appeared on screen lol. And this doesn't happen to me often.

Well, some ppl don't like Mamori and Mirei, because Mamori is just too dense and the classic all innocent- kinda boring girl. At least that's my main reason.
I've seen others also dislike her because it seemed like she liked Akira more than Mirei, and all that talk about looking for her prince etc. I dont care about that part, but imo her relationship with Mirei was just not very good developed until the end of the anime. Also it seemed like they were supposed to be together because they were the main characters, not because their dynamic was very natural.

Hibike only appeared on screen for like 4 minutes, so not enough screentime to get developed and be more likeable.

I think the story would have been more simple, if Sumin was the one still madly in love with Seju and not the way around.

That would be interesting, I haven't thought it this way. It would make Seju less likeable and Sungji more I think. But well, Seju is the strongest character in this story for me, so at least we got introduced to her.
But it's funny, because if Sumin and Sungji end up together again, it would mean that Sungji has forgiven Sumin for the cheating, while Sumin was unable to forgive Seju for all these years.
Why would Sumin deserve all these chances, when she has been worse than Seju?
Yes, she is a victim too, but her character has become unlikeble. They build her character around sleeping with different women only. I really can't think of any other good quality she has.

I agree they are overcomplicating things right now, and I think it's because they have to fill the rest of chapters left, so they have to introduce new characters.

Nami's love is out of nowhere So I don't see it as unconditional or deeper. She 's just a side character, I don't think she could ever become protagonist, even if she ended up with Sumin which is like, 0.000001% possible to happen lol
