I think it was meant to convey that the characters saw her getting hit in the face, even though it wasn't the reality.

I guess so, although I do like it better when authors draw it correctly, even if not immediately noticeable at first glance, so you would be able to check and notice the details if you go back. Probably not as important here, but especially great in any good mystery. I'll never forget the nail in Ghost Hunt.

Yeah I see what you mean, however I was anticipating Mikoto and Nekozaki finally discussing how they feel and how to move forward. Can’t say I was particular excited about the whole murder mystery involving Nekozaki’s father. In my opinion it just hasn’t been built up enough.

The two are very much intertwined, though, the mystery being the reason Nekozaki has been avoiding anything to do with love.

Does anyone know if there was more than 2 chapters to the original (pre-serialization) version of Touko-san?
