Glad we're doing the anthology too!

I'm really liking all the new characters. Developing new people (and couples?) while our main girls have lower stake issues is a good idea. And these newbies might idolize our main couple by the time this is done (if not already).

We're also no longer a "gap student" or a "lady of the night." Truly uncharted territory. Looking forward to more. I wonder if the 2 new girls might get ideas about their own relationship from Makino and Mashiro.

I see Usui Shio and I'm there. Didn't know she had two series going at the same time. She always has an interesting starting premise that connects the main couple and this one fits right in for sure. She's got a lot more variety than she's given credit for. Every series is different but I expect the same quality.

Would I be better off reading the novel if I had a hard time understanding what was going on with the media wars the 2 leads are conducting with the help of their agencies and this acting reality show they're judging?
I'm sure what's happening isn't that complicated but I have zero familiarity with those things.

Yeah it would help. I just reread a chapter I'd read from further into the manhua (chapter 100 something in the manhua) and the business stuff made more sense in the novel. There's more room for details.

I'm pretty divided. Mizuki is good but her as of yet her eyes is on her sisters and didn't give our MC enough attention. And Shion chan is really cute, and such an earnest confession... uwu

Shion might be too young (middle schooler means more when you're in high school) and our MC is similarly only focused on Mizuki, so I expect new girl to be rejected. She's likely there for Mizuki, which might explain why the chapter ended with the 3 of them in one reaction frame. Mizuki shouldn't care much if MC has a suitor.

Mizuki seems like a love interest initially attracted to someone unattainable, but eventually, silently falling for the another, who consistently supports her. It feels similar to another ongoing girls' love series, "Other Than My Friend's Sister, Something Else," (great!) but wackier.

Mizuki might learn what "jealousy" and "taking for granted" means in a second. Let's see how she takes this. I'm 1000% sure nothing will ever happen with her sister and that, that's just the setup gag. She already started last chapter but maybe this is will create another opportunity to see Mizuki's growing feelings for our MC. Should be comedy either way.

Oh yeah if you're sensitive to that stuff, I get it. It's a great series but very real. I'd recommend it still though. I'd at least wait until its done and give it a read. I don't expect it to be a long series.

It's original because it's their own series. Some of those characters are from further into the series though, since the TL is a bit behind. It is currently at chapter 15.

Maybe this not really popular here because the very slow progress of relationship between them. But really, it's worth it!! Some small details from novel didn't make it to the manhua so reading the novel too really helps to understand more stuff.

I think if picking up from the chapter posted here, we would be around chapter 35-36 on the light novel. Still, i highly recommended to read from chapter 1 haha.

Even if they do "show" it, I wouldn't expect anything explicit beyond creative metaphors. They've apparently had sex already anyway in an earlier chapter.

If anything I think SasaKoi be better as a love story between Himar and Shiho. The two girl (HimaShiho) interaction in chapter 42 more chemistry then AkiShiho ever.

I think Mei is just playing and she will leave Yuzu some day. I think she see Yuzu as a source of comfort for her but she not really in love with her the way Yuzu is in love with her in love with her. I mean she been with Yuzu so long so of course she will likes her in some way but I don't think she got any real feelings for. I don't say she will leave Yuzu for Arata but there is no doubt that she will eventually grow tired of playing her own "game" and will have to tell Yu the truth about how she truly feel.

They get married. We're just leading up to Mei and Yuzu's marriage. We already know how this ends. This is functionally an extended flashback. Just in case: if you haven't read the original Citrus, you should read that before this one.

I wonder if she’ll still resemble a human or be a full on demon? Also, is she gonna age or is she forever a child?

Well she's got horns! Seems like the demon lord will be staying for a long while to take care of her "retainer." I'm wondering if they'll go back to the demon world together and if we'll see any of that area expanded on too--of course after Elsa and Evie have their night. We still haven't caught up to the cloaked version yet and other things, so maybe a ways to go.

The fact they both knew means their relationship was more on the level than they both realized, which sneakily solves the major relationship problem. All that's left is courage and reconnection. 3 chapters for that seems doable. I'm sure they'll come back together before it's over.

I do wonder where the story is going to go narratively, now that Mitsuki has pretty much completed her major character arc. If actual full out romance is out the window, then the next arc would be getting Mitsuki to do a big live performance of her music I guess.

I definitely wouldn't say it's out the window, but if there's ever a time to go more heavy into romantic development this seems like the moment. We'll get a clearer idea starting next week. It does feel like the end of an arc without a super clear idea of where we go from here. I'm excited to see where she takes it, since it's pretty open.

I just realize that Usui sensei's work would depict in a manner where two characters would first establish a relationship, like girlfriend or wives.
Then from there, they will start progressing their relationship into 'girlfriend' or 'wives'.

Like instead of the usual crush-confession, Usui sensei quickly establish the two as a main couple.

Yeah I think part of what's interesting about her recent work (and why the setups happen as they do; "marriage," "girlfriend") is she focuses a lot on how relationships are sustained and tended to, rather than just how to get into relationships. That's the consistent focus shared by all her stories so far. "Ok, we're technically together...now what?" is basically the question of these stories.

AIUI, Blue Star is dribbled out on fanbox, then released as a volume, and knight heron waits for the volume. So we end up getting three chapters over the course of winter. Bookmark my notes!

We know Shiho is excited but Aki might surprisingly have Shiho beat in the happiness scale. She's so giddy in this chapter, even as she's understandably a bit nervous and anxious about the new stages of their relationship. Really looking forward to their first (technically second) official date. I'm wondering where they'll choose to go and what they'll choose to do.
