^ I think it's more that she accepts it; if she can have friends, she'll put up with a lot, especially Tomoko. In some ways, Yuu is the most insecure of all the kids in this series.

^I wonder whether we're going to find out what Asuka meant with her last line, in that chapter!

What's moving, in the chapter, is the way Tomoko tries to make up for hurting Asuka and making her feel rejected. It's unclear whether it will fix things, but Tomoko really tries to let Asuka know who she really is. And poor Ucchi doesn't realize that Tomoko sees her as a kind of emotional grounding wire for when she gets worked up over girls she really likes.

I'm really worried that something is going to go wrong with Tomoko's three real friendships since entering high school, with Yuri and Nemo and Asuka. There's thunder rumbling in the distance.

^Yeah, they're prominent but not huge. I think Yoshida and Katou are the most beautiful girls in the series.

Anna's a little more reserved than this, though.

None of the artists I've seen have quite gotten Anna, yet.

^One of Tomoko's friends (when Tomoko isn't driving her crazy) is a "delinquent" named Yoshida Masaki (usually called Yoshida). Masaki hangs out with two friends, Reina and Anna. Reina is Masaki's semi-nemesis; Anna is the leader and peacekeeper of the group, sometimes by force. She can be pretty callous to Masaki, who is at the core an innocent and gentle person. In the last chapter (142), Anna look a liking to Tomoko after Tomoko finally drove poor Masaki over the edge by embarrassing her with an extremely crude remark, and Masaki really punched her. This is the first time that Anna has spoken to any of the main characters except for Masaki.

^That's odd; she doesn't strike me as having big boobs in that chapter. She's cushy and cuddly, but not voluptuous like Asuka or Yuu. Then again, she can get lost in contrast to Yoshida, who has a mighty body in a long, elegant sort of way. I like Anna; she's sweet and straightforward but she'll lay down the law on her two friends if they get out of line.
