As for the discussion of Endless Eight, it's the only truly good part of the entire series and almost had me giving the second season a higher rating than the first on MAL, but then it was followed by the absolutely abysmal filming arc bringing the score down again.

I'm kinda disapointed in a way. I had kinda hoped Adachi's relationship with her mom would improve even a little bit. I'm not too big on my parents but Adachi's don't seem to be as bad.

I certainly hoped for this after the previous volume, but the anime special novels already showed this would not be the case.

Indeed. Although I guess we should have seen this already after Shima's first attempt to push them to reconcile with that sauna challenge. They've just grown apart to such an extent that even spending any time together becomes such an awkward experience with neither of them knowing how to handle it. It would take far more time and effort than they had or were willing to give to achieve any significant change now.

Are these the same couple from the other chapters? If so, the fact that they're 17 and 23 respectively is... something I would've liked to have known. No idea why y'all are so chill about this revelation lmao

I can't believe I didn't see this coming, seeing how strongly she got attached to Shy and dragged her home. Of course she'd be a yandere...

I rarely say this myself, and even don't like much when others do so, but this sure looks like an axe job. Not as bad as Yuri Moyou, but still a very sudden ending. The extra bits at least look like Igarashi may have the best chances there, so at least that is nice to see, though.
