Normally in a yuri manga after 24 chapters one of the main characters starts to think that maybe perhaps they somehow are in a possibility of perhaps enjoying the company of the other (main) character. But it might still be just a very close friendship.
Here? 24 chapters in and those girls are exchanging rings in front of a huge crowd in pretty dresses and one of 'em gets princess-carried away by the other.
And the kicker is that all this progression feels smooth as hell.

Aw I'm glad that my feeling of dread was wrong... At least so far. I'll have a bit more faith from now on.

In the end, I did enjoy this series. But I won't lie, it started as something completely different, it then twice "changed" what it was trying to convey only to settle for tons of fluff which... In itself wasn't bad. But the fact that the series couldn't decide where it wanted to "land" with its mood was sometimes a bit jarring.

I'm also very disappointed we didn't have a "Coming out in front of parents" scene. Unless I missed that one. I mean I know it's implied they did it, but still... This made me think it's so rare to have that "on-screen"

I like Aoi and I don't mind Yamada (so far), so I can't wait for more of this.

I do enjoy this greatly. But it always leaves me with confused feelings.

So will they just position them for their first kiss? And for their wedding? "You just stand here and you here aaand now you're married"

I wonder what Sachi and Megumi would think about this type of Yuritopia ...

While this is amusing, it will take a lot of effort to continue this gimmick unless it waters down a bit. Regardless I'm curious to see more. I do enjoy this type of "dumb" comedy.

I feel bad that my brain immediately filled in the "criminal scum" part after reading this chapter's title.

So are we going to get things resolved this early? Hope so!

I won't lie I usually judge stuff by how much "yuri" I can get out of a manga, but after the first chapter of this, I didn't really care that much. All I wanted was for Umi to get some friends. While it's not that rare to have a shy protagonist who wants some friends and/or a place to belong to, this just... somehow encapsulated the feeling of loneliness uh... accurately? I guess. So when I caught up with the TL progress, I was pretty happy that she did, in fact, not just got herself friends, but also carved a place for herself where she feels happy.

Yay for anime, while reading this I thought this would make for a neat slice-of-life anime with rockets as a theme.

As for Akeuchi I hope she won't disappear because of Umi fulfilling her dream of having friends. I hope it's not one of those weird situations where she appeared to be a guide and will go away after her "work is done". I just hope it's some yuri goodness and her realizing that all that forehead rubbing means she needs to take responsibility and just marry Umi. If not on earth then by the alien law.

Also for some reason, Umika reminded me of Shamiko. Dunno why.

The way the height gap is handled in this is already a win, but the addition of some wincest sauce made it even better.

Does this mean we can go back to Satsuki and ditch the two?

I get all those points about this flashback, but it boils down to the girl being bullied and the guy finding himself as some defender of justice or the meek or whatever he tells himself to make himself sleep better at night. Did we need 3 chapters of this is my question? Because it's pretty dull. The backstory was, like everything in this manga, over the top, which didn't help and we already knew the outcome of how it would turn out. Teenage punisher duo. Tbh. I "liked" them more before learning about the circumstances. At least then they were menacingly mysterious and all that. Now I know that this is just a power fantasy. Great.

Also, nice job bullying Satsuki who for all we know didn't do anything terrible. I guess the longer you stare into the abyss yadda yadda. Like I said before, I don't care what the purpose of this was. Make me understand them or make them sympathetic, it's just that it was sort of pointless to make it this long and regardless of length boring. The appearance of the two in the story already made this take a turn towards the "meh" but filling out 3 chapters with them was definitely a big oof

But flashback aside, what's the end goal of this arc? Will they realize the fault of their way? Or will they have to die? Because that's also one thing that made me dislike those two, the fact that either the author will suddenly dig out a masterpiece solution, or that'll just end up like a wet fart.

Not that I expected it from this story, but it won't give anything definitive in terms of those two huh? Or was it reserved for the college arc

The exposition is a bit heavy-handed, but as long as it tones down it might be pretty neat. It's not a super original concept to be alienated from everyone because of your status. Being put on a pedestal while all you wanted was to just have a bunch of friends. But one that I'd surely enjoy ... As long as it won't try this hard to drill certain points as it did in this (first) chapter.
Fingers crossed that this ends up being a good read.

Pretty neat series. Yuri aside, it was just a banger, decently made action anime that kept paying attention to details and which plot was really just played "by the book". Which isn't a bad thing. It's refreshing in this day and age. Like it tries to intertwine many "tropes" to make it look like it's more than it really is, but all those tropes are really basic.

Binged it last night and it was some time since I got so invested in a series. Which does fill you with anxiety, especially in the few last episodes. The ending was okay, I think I gave it a passing grade mostly because, as many believe, I think it might have been adjusted so that we can have a second season or an OVA or something. I also can't wait to devour any spin-off content. Especially if it's as gay as some people make me believe it is.

People take this too seriously. Isn't the gimmick of this story (and comedic part) basically the less direct the MC is the further away from the goal she gets? This'll end with either a "Yuzu knew all along" or she'll just tell Yuzu directly without any BS attached and the girl will accept her just like that.

That being said, can we get a side-story about Tsubasa and Kosame (The "military" girl and the girl with a weak heart)? Because that does sound pretty sweet. Princess and her knight.

I came here after reading the first chapter of the "Summer, Lemon, and Overlay" manga. And I have to say I loved it. My only complaint was that the neighbor lady didn't get a chance to reunite with her delivery girl.

It's not really about death, is it? Like in a literal sense I mean. Because the first page shows both of them at a funeral (I assume) and alive.

I... I guess they got me. I have to see where this is heading.

So is this like that self-fulfilling prophecy? You don't do something (or do something) to avoid a specific thing from happening ... And because of that, it happens.

I mean Mitsuki is being a bit of garbo in this situation. It's not like she's not aware of Aya's affection towards her "guy" side. So what was the plan to just lead her along till a situation like this would happen anyway in the future? Where it comes out by accident. More than disappointing the other girl seems like someone was being a coward.

Buuut it's fine. As in, I dig it, cause it is a somewhat unique situation, and while it pictures (at least for me) Mitsuki in a bit of bad light, I can understand it. She better make up for it and Aya better not just accept some bs and go with it as if nothing bad ever happened.

"I will give you my all, pretty baby
I'll come whenever you call for me, lady, yeah
I will give you the best of me
The best of me
The best of me"

Uda better get her girl. And if this Uda arc won't get messed up in some way, this will make this manga one of the best
