If it's you, it's okay. (not like I like women, or anything)

What a cope out.

Though, it's rare to see a female crossdressing character that tries to pass as a guy. So it's a plus in my book.

I need more stories about FtMs.

Besides the chapters of this series what else ended up getting removed?

Happy End and Dear My Teacher at least.

Bisexual tag maybe?

Story is nice but it feels like they're settling for each other because they couldn't get the dude rather than actually being attracted to one another.

I took that as they moved on, not that they settled on each other.

And this "precious memory" is something they share, so it's normal they get closer. And more, why not. Natsumi obviously gets very attached to Mifuyu as the story progresses. Doesn't surprise me as she's the tomboy type.

There is some sort of misunderstanding here, but I can't understand where. Something isn't clear.

Why is the director interested in Fengyu is beyond me.

It's like some pages are missing between 2 and 3.

This really feels like an axe tbh but it was a fun ride while it was going on! Thank you for all the work you did scanlating it~

It was self published on Pixiv, afaik.

So, no, no axe.

It just had to end somewhere. You can go on with that premise only for so long.

This manga is beautiful.

But kinda hectic.

And I just noticed that the title has a double meaning.

They wanted to be chosen.

So, in the end, they got chosen.

By each other.

So 34 pages of how much they love a guy and still do, but 1 page of them holding hands and it is subtext? lul.

It's more about how they cope with the loss and learn to accept it. The guy is abstract: he has no face and no name. It's an after story about the end of an adolescent love.

And the subtext is not "out of the blue". Page 16 is a show of how they are bonding more than expected and learn more about each other. And that they call each other by their first name after a while.

It's subtle, but explicit at the same time. The Japanese readers didn't miss it. The last page can only be interpreted in that many ways, with the hand holding and the seashells.

Even if you put your yuri googles on a low setting, you can see the subtext on the last page.

The seashell key-chains and the hand-holding makes us think that they will find happiness. Together.

They didn't find the seashells. The seashells found them.

Overall, a good oneshot.

We need more harem manga where the male protag is the loser in the end.

I don't know, I'm gonna finally drop out of this one now.

It's just getting too exhausting for me to read....they just annoy me...a lot, the possessivenes, the 'selfishness' all of it just has a toxic level to it that I don't care for.
For what it's worth the MCs seem to be fine with their situations, but me 'as an outsider looking at their story' have stopped caring about any of their well-beings or possible lack there of :/

It's nearly over.

WTF are you dropping this one or two chapters away from the end?

I disagree with people seeing this in a negative way.

Alpha + Omega is basically what's heteronormative in that world.

Homosexual love is what goes against what "society" expects.

So, an Omega rejecting her destiny to mate an Alpha (basically, a man), because she loves a Beta is a message from Takemiya: if you want to go against society, you'll have to fight.

Whether she will succeed or not isn't important. What's important is fighting.

Takemiya leaves the rest to your imagination. If you want to imagine NTR, I'm sad for you.

Funny how all these characters are constantly deluding themselves.

Saori pretends she's not interested in taking care of Shizuku, but she can't leave her alone and actually gets some pride out of being Shizuku's only "friend". Because she's been taken care of by her sister, she feels the need to take care of someone.

Shizuku pretends to be a loner, an outcast, a hardened delinquent, but she's actually kind at heart and weak to people who seem to care about her. She pretends relationships don't work for her, but she values them immensely.

I can see what Mikanuji is trying to do with all these couples, but she takes it really slow...

DAMMIT THATS ONE HELLA SEXY SCENE. Kiwi hair down is da best.
Harem route is best :DD. Is sulfur the next one to get dominated lmao.

I think Sulfur is close from going to the dark side and Venalita noticed it. She's a violent one and is closer from a villain than the two others.

I think she plans on turning Sulfur traitor, or at least render her useless for the good side (with tentacles?)

As for that "almost-sex" scene, I found it was a bit sad, because Kiwi's feeling are probably unrequited. Utena loves her, but not in a romantic way.

So will we get any more of this manga, seeing as it's been licensed?

People of /u/ already said they will keep on translating and Dynasty said they will keep on hosting that translation.

Short of a request from the U.S. licensor for a takedown, it will keep on coming here.

I think a lot of people are forgetting how sharp-edged a Takemiya Jin story can be.

She’s done her share of fluff, sure, but when I see the word “Soulmates” in one of her stories I’m not surprised when there’s a dark twist to it.

It's not just a dark twist, it's a last minute twist that comes completely out of left field and drives the whole story off a cliff.

To each their own I guess. I liked it.

It's nothing new in yuri manga actually.

It's the typical setup where the MC has to marry some guy for reasons (arranged marriage, save her family, societal pressure to marry and have kids, etc.) but choose to fight it to be with her "soulmate".

In that universe, as far as I understand it, omegas don't have to absolutely pair up with an alpha. They are free to choose their partner, but it's better to pair up with you "destined partner", since biology, instinct, whatever, pushes you toward it. Much like in our society, women are pushed to get with a guy and have kids.

So, that Megu fights that is equivalent to her fighting heteronormativity in our universe.

That you'd predict she will fail is a bit sad for a yuri fan.

I definitely read this before in mangadex

And if you had read the first comment by the scanlator, you'd know it's normal.

I checked the "original" release and compared to it, here they translated all the sfx and small text. Def better.

As for the story itself, if the first 6 chapters are anything to go by, there's no hint of romance yet. It just started and in 1 volume, nothing much happened. I hope the author has some more things planned, notably with the younger sister.
