It did seem like she was might have been finishing up business in a morbid sense with the post-manic compliments, honorifics dropping, and promises to explain everything at a later date.

She’s a diminished prince returning so perhaps they are going to deal with that side of it more since the MC’s prince duty has been a main part of the plot. This isn’t a childhood friend or ex appearing situation so it can go in a different direction.

So these new witches need to be rounded up because they have made themselves too visible to humans as influencers or is something else going on with the humans they gathered? It's notable that they immediately separated the MCs and focused in on Hanako's ties to the situation.

Sadako immediately assuming Yoshi must be a child based on how he was described made me laugh.

I was thinking they’d run into each other again, but in professional circles because she had gotten her career going. But as someone who has ran into people from the past in a city several times a street passing encounter isn’t that outlandish to me. It does bookend things in this case too.

I think Aya just wants to fit in with Mitsuki's family and future and she's decided all on her own that she MUST learn English to do that. She wants to understand the lyrics. She picked English as her focus for university. The three people she really likes all can do it. This might be the first time she was trying for something she wants that much. It doesn't seem like they know exactly how bad she's feeling about it because she is having fun with Mitsuki otherwise.

It looks like Mitsuki is currently happy in the moment and thinking everything is great while Aya wants to be happy, but is mentally stuck in plans/scenarios as she's done in past chapters. Before she was focused on ways Mitsuki could stay with her and now that Mitsuki seems to be in a good place, cooler than ever even, she's decided she has to do this to stay with her because that's how she's wired to be.

She accidentally made a drink that turned 1 out of 2 customers human? Somewhere in her family line could be that skill then.

Good news. At the end of volume 8 she said her editor informed her things are going well enough to end the series as originally planned with volume 9.

In the latest raws she says she’s overflowing the end of the story into a 4 chapter volume 10 now. Instead of ending at volume 9. All due to current support levels and how the ending is working out.

Once again she gives an order and somewhere in the hearing process things go sideways and she ends up doing it the way they want. At this point I'm not sure if having more social skills would have helped. The two people she picked have some "preferences" once their inhibitions are down.

She’s watched The Wilds, Euphoria, Arcane, Bottoms, Shiva Baby, Glee… all the traumas then.

Hopefully Dynasty is just niche enough to be passed over. Either way this is huge blow to the scanlation scene. Many yuri I follow are only on MD and not here. What infuriating is that they apparently don't care if a series is licensed or not before included it in the takedown notice.

Sumi specifically picked a romance inexperienced girl who had childish tendencies that needed tutoring...which seems right on the nose as far as a potential fill in for her earlier self in the dynamic she must have experienced with her tutor.

Naturally Manatsu reacts differently to things because they are not interchangeable outside of the surface. Sumi was a little put off and suspicious when Manatsu was not that nervous about taking the initiative by saying she watched videos as research for example. Sumi corrects her going off script by claiming the high ground (hehe) in that instance. Which makes it seem like she's looking to experience the tutor pov. Not sure where it's going to end up on the short term, but they had fun for a week and Manatsu did a lot to show her younger self should have been treated kinder than she seems to have been first go around.

I wonder if Sumi’s original reason to get relationship experience was to “grow up” because her tutor had poked fun at her “childish” tendencies earlier and probably used that to end things. Meanwhile Manatsu never treated her inexperience and caution as anything bad. Being around Manatsu who isn't afraid of being herself and liking things like the bubbles (that she last used just a month ago) hopefully has her rethinking any tutor related plans.

It’s interesting that she said the zombies tend to get doomed into acting out in their last desires. Which at first seems sweet in the case of Risa who strongly wanted to be the MC’s friend and apparently find another person. Only the human she fixated on is the one acting like a monster by choice and just as dangerous as the other horrors out there.

That’s certainly an Afterwards I can’t unsee.

Ugh... Knowing that Majima only sees her as live bait makes me feel bad for Suzu.

I can only hope that it doesn't end up with Suzu getting hurt to force Majima to care.

She's a parasitic monster, but I think there's some hints at more emotional depth there. She seemed relieved her true form was not seen beyond just a practical level for example. Being driven but hunger might overpower her other needs, but she probably still has them.

So the MC is trying to make the succubus remember her terrible past so she can be punished? Only she can't remember and she's not bad now so it just comes off as being mean. And all the while the succubus is half starved and they really should just make out?

I dug out the article where she talked a bit more about living overseas and moving to places where she couldn't speak the language, watching Glee, and being very particular about how she draws Mitsuki's hands. Everything is intentional with the hands.

She is Japanese but spent some school age years in an English speaking country because of her dad’s work. I don’t think she specified which country, but she’s fluent in English from that. You can see how some of Mitsuki not fitting in, retreating into music, being fluent in English, risk of disappearing overseas and so on might have been some self insert on her part.

So far we’ve learned how Wakana wants her master to behave and the dynamic she wants from her best friend. The inhibition theory is staring to gain speed. She had this in her all along.

Ruruna still needs to give the commands but how they hear them probably matters more. She has a handful managing two people with their various hangups and desires when all she seemed to want originally was a shortcut to a status upgrade from having a (pretty) girl in class loyally beside her.

Please don't do that crap, please don't make me have started this story on a mistagging... This has a lot of potential if it doesn't...

There is a six episode s2 coming out late June. Not sure what to make of the synopsis, but I'm sure it will be the usual amount of Sal Jiang chaos since she took a break from her other series to work on it.
