You know how in the credits page, it says something along the lines 'if this is being read on any site other than the aforementioned ones, then it was stolen'. does that do anything? the one stealing and uploading it on other sites could easily just edit that part out or even replace it with lies.

Short answer is no, it probably doesn't do much. Heck, a couple of people on other sites have taken our translations as their own and uploaded it there, there's not much we can do about that. But most aggregator sites are lazy - they use bots to copy from MD or Dynasty, and so on the vast majority of the aggregator sites that notice remains. If it encourages even a few people to come to MD or Dynasty, that's a win in my book.

Also, it’s interesting that this marriage is a betrothal (if the title is true) but her parents have nothing to do with her or her life. Most of the time betrothals are set up by the parent’s.

The original Chinese is 婚约 hūn​yuē, which can also mean "engagement", so the distinction between betrothal/engagement here is just a translation choice. I wouldn't read too much into it on the basis of the parents setting up a betrothal vs a personal engagement.

Update: No new chapter today either, so it seems Chapter 25 (the next one) will coincide with the introduction of the paywall next weekend.

Yeah I didn't have time to write up notes this week, but it's clear there's a Wizard of Oz connection between all the references, not just the story Elsa tells. Elsa's last name is "Dorothy," the kingdom's name is Aosi in Chinese, which while we have rendered as "Aus[land]", we mostly did so to avoid the more common rendition of it as "Oz." I don't really know where Chise was going with this, though, since at least plot-wise, I haven't seen any similarities at all.

One thing that seems different about this is usually for alphas its rut instead of heat.

Might be a translation error. Or maybe they don't have the distinction in their language.

Hi, translator here. I'm not that familiar with OV stuff so I appreciate any corrections. The word they used was 发情, which usually is translated in English (non OV stuff) to be "in heat", but I guess in Chinese OV stuff means specifically "rut", since that is also a valid translation. I'll fix that in the future.

I probably could use someone who knows OV stuff to proofread, huh.

Could someone please help me. This is a bit of an off-topic question but it has been bugging me for a while - if China supposedly censors LGBT content in its media, how is it possible that yuri gets made there? Is it something done "in the shadows"? As long as it doesn't get too popular, it's okay? Or is it illegal and the creator knows they could end up in trouble, but does it anyway?

I am asking here because this is a manga from China (manhua), I apologize if it derails too much...!

I'm a bit surprised that Chapter 6 jumped ahead after Chapter 5 left off on a semi-cliffhanger. I thought it would pick up where Chapter 5 left off and have Yvonne try to lock herself and Elsa inside before the time ran out.

Not sure how there was a cliff-hanger at all? They found a sealed room, they locked it, and the system accepted it. The countdown was just them finishing the hour-long requirement. Presumably they exited shortly after, since Elsa has the keys.

She's back at her old school just like that? feels like, the whole exile thing was almost meaningless ...but well, I guess I have an idea of how seriously I should approach this, in other words I should sit back and enjoy the yuri haha

No, she's still exiled in the border town. Unfortunately the artist didn't make the uniforms between her old school (in the capital) and the new one different visually.

On the translation note, "your highness" is a term pretty specifically used for royalty. I might suggest "your ladyship", which is a more general upper class/nobility kind of address.

For what it's worth, these YT channels usually just use machine translation and are very awkward to read.

That's because all those other aggregator sites copied over the translation from MangaDex as soon as I submitted it there. I only post on Dynasty and MD. The original manhua was published on August 3, 2020.

To those wondering/'speculating about a continuation, I'd say it's pretty unlikely. The artist submitted it to Kuaikan as part of a long-strip contest, and wrote on Weibo that this work "at least fulfills my wish of having drawn a yuri manhua" and that they're satisfied with it. There are a few fans who commented in Chinese asking for it to continue, though.

One of those, I really want a continuation. But it seems like it's going to be a bunch of one shots.
