That's allowed. Personally I'm fond of how it can add an interesting tension and complexity to a setting, particularly if it's a broad phenomenon. (which we have no perspective to see here obvs) But that's if it's actually used thoughtfully ofc. Beastars comes to mind as an anime that really capitalizes that tension.

I honestly was vaguely sympathetic to the guy before they gave him a perspective. He was pretty insensitive but he seemed kinda well intentioned and occasionally unexpectedly considerate at times. Annnnnd then we got his POV and it only went downhill.

I do like the series. I'm a fan of the aesthetic of a bunch of deeply insecure people trying to come to terms with the unhealthy shit about themselves, and often failing. It feels very genuine in how uncomfortable it is. I'm keeping an eye on this.

That opening bit is so relatable and gay.

I'm pretty optimistic that this will turn out mostly fine, but serve to deliberately mirror her losing the phone. That seems like the whole point of focusing on the gloves there in a similar way to how they focused on the phone ornament. The difference is this time she feels like she needs to rescue it, whereas before she just let it go, even when Kurumi tried to point out that she shouldn't. I'd say bonus points if Jun-kun scolds her afterward for doing something dangerous for something unimportant to make it an even more direct mirror, but that seems a bit outside his characterization and crueler to Jun than the mangaka has been thus far.

It very well might be milked to make her miss the deadline and build a little further tension to the resolution, but I don't get the sense this is going to be a long arc or tragedy around a car crash. Or I'll be disappointed with the rest, I guess.

A lot of people will call this overly dramatic, but I think it's a pretty realistic take on a situation like this if it ever happened in reality. You can't always immediately jump the gun, and I like seeing how Midori's dancing around the issue. Each chapter adds a little bit more hurt along the way too, can't wait for more!

Those people have never been in the MCs shoes, bc like... It's dramatic and tense, with denial and incomplete reads on the other person forming a dangerous dance. I was in a somewhat similar situation, but with lower stakes, (no marriage/baby) and even then it was a mess of backsteps and drama.

Everyone is a dramatic flawed bitch when put in positions with such uncomfortable stakes.
