I really love how it built up Chiho learning to take Midorikawa's feelings and potential as a partner seriously because she was the one who was there for her in the way she needed during a moment that was way more serious than I would have expected. It's a neat way to follow how she was so oblivious that she outright didn't understand Midorikawa's feelings when she outright confessed, but she came to understand them now after she decided not to confess and to just be there for her friend. I'm really happy with that arc.

Best girl truly won. Although it ended up not even being a real harem thing, haha.

Buuuut vice president is still too enamored to break out from the president's carrot-and-stick manipulation thing. That's a bittersweet end to it. Ouch.

The girlfriend has to be Akari.

Not memorable enough for the brilliant Hanako to recall her appearance? A beautiful smile? For all we know, she could have been in every chapter and we collectively overlooked her. It would be the twistiest of twists.

Does this mean we'll get to see some puppy-love chapters with Kaede?

This was really cute and I love this subversion of the usual "childhood friend was actually a girl" thing, buuuut it couldn't carry a series. This is about as much mileage you can get out of just this joke. Still, loved it for what it is, I've always wanted to see one of these end up this way.

The bisexual tag is for when it's plot-relevant that a character has both types of relationships I think, but wow these arguments that imply that characters being bisexual would make it less yuri are... hm... I mean, comp het is a thing, you could make an argument without throwing bisexuals under the bus like that.

I've been keeping up with the raw scans and wow, they both have good reason to feel that way. Not to say I know if it'll actually lead them to be happy in the long run, I'm starting to doubt the possibility of a happy ending more and more.

Manga artstyles tend to be so simplified, I get really confused when they bring in wigs...

This was such an adorable chapter, I adore the chemistry between these two when they're alone!

This was set up like the typical shoujo where there's a love triangle and the main character is constantly teased and bullied by a jerk, but her being upset and hurt is actually ~tsundere~ and she gets with the boy after all...

I love that it didn't go that route. It took the path and setup and style of one of those, and it explored it from the perspective of a main character who genuinely wasn't slowly falling for the jerk. I love even more that it took the chance to go the route where this was what made her realize that she loved her friend. Felt like the story actually respected Youko's feelings, even if it feels like Maki didn't for being her best friend.

I agree with RuneHex, it tied up nicely.

There are times when a confession of love does more harm than good. Even though I was rooting for those two, I can see why she made the choice she did. Her being so unable to trust even her cloest friends after that stunt... I really would not have expected this to be the route it would go, but I'm interested to see what it's going for now that she's willing to go to school again...

I've noticed that too. She basically can't imagine Komaki being an active participant even in her fantasies. I think that works well with the theory that she can't imagine Komaki returning her feelings. So being an idiot, this is the only alternative she can think of.

That's probably the case, since it literally blew her mind when Komaki just touched her breast for a bit, haha
