Kin'iro ! So fluffy and has the gayest subtext of all...

Also I got my eye on Re-Kan but it seems, according to someone who told me that in 4chan they were saying (...) that the male guy who appeared for 5 seconds in the first episode is later a love interest, (this anime is based in a 4koma manga), which I STRONGLY DOUBT btw, dunno if I should believe them, I like it ... I want to enjoy it friendship or subtext but not romance.

Show By Rock... I'll watch it tomorrow

Unlikely. From what I've read off other yuri fans (Just in case, there is a cross ange repeat, some fellows chipped in to confirm) who read the Re-kan 4-koma, there is no such thing happening with that "interest" and the female leads. At the most, one of the supporting girls might be paired up that way.

I bought PoE are you happy?!

Now I've been creating a character for 30 minutes.

How is Pillars of Eternity so far? I blew my budget on DAI, so I'm only getting games that will run on sale this year, except for 1 or 2 yuri games from an indie publisher I usually visit. And there is my backlog too. Haha!

Names,Names! I know there will be a third season of Yuru-yuri but not when.

Great! Any other yuri anime this year?

For Spring, there is Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha Vivid, Kiniro Mosaic 2 and Teekyuu. I heard that the female lead of Mikagura Gakuen Kumikyoku likes girls in the manga, but no one is sure how well that will translate into the anime. Re-Kan! and Urawa no Usagi-chan look sort of prospective, but I know nothing about them.

For Summer, there is Symphogear 3, Non non Biyori 2 and likely Valkyrie Drive (if not, Autumn or Winter).

That's what I gathered for now. Might have missed things though!

This couple?, I like em the most as well.

Also, anime's full anime is Valkyrie Drive Mermaid
Social game's Valkyrie Drive Siren
Console game's Valkyrie Drive Bhikkhuni

http://www.crunchyroll.com/anime-news/2015/03/31/official-website-for-valkyrie-drive-mermaid-tv-anime-launches

I kind of attribute it to the coloring. In my opinion, Valkyrie Drive Siren's couple has the brightest design and outlook, which makes them really appealing. Now I hope more details for the anime's characters and other stuff will be unveiled in time! Quite excited about it. ^_^

Her boob size changed like 7 times

Yeah. For example, on page 98, Umi has naturally sized boobs. Then on page 103, they suddenly ballooned to ultra-sized giant cans. It's like, come on! Have them big, regular or small, but consistent at least.

Hey, I've come across an interview with the creators. Don't know if it is the same version as Dark_Tzitzimine posted higher up above, but here it is. I don't have a good grasp of the language, but from people who do, it seems that while yes, the creators do have fanservice and boobage in mind, the interesting part is that, they sort of like the idea of the premise to be written in a yuri direction.

Time will tell once the anime is out, but if it stays this way, we shall be getting something, likely!

Is Shirobako good? does anything happen or it's just subtext like Love Live? and talking about subtext, Renai Lab is also only subtext right?

I would say it's really good if you want to know more about the anime industry in Japan.
I have the impression to have secrets being revealed to me about how things work.
But definitely not yuri- I would say. There is no romance in it as far as I can see.
And to be honest, it's good like that.

Shiraboko has some light yuri, not at a very high level though. No yuri means plenty of in-your-face boy x girl, or het harem, neither of which is happening in the show either. Plus the poster was also asking for subtext. A romance label can only be applied if the show has very canon yuri romances, which is why some people use subtext, as character relationships can be satisfying in a yuri way to some, but can't be construed as "proper" romance, as there is no canon confirmation.

Going by this, at least, tends to net me enough, to fulfill my yuri show needs! :D

I would prefer an anime series! OVAs have too long a wait time in between (I'm a little more impatient these days). Also in recent times, the length of an anime is a lot more flexible. Shorter half seasons can be used. At least, you get a dose every week, than an entire month of downtime.

This is going to sound dumb, but which one of them was saying "This isn't love."?

Yeah, shouldn't comments be directed here instead for overall discussion? Totally great manga! I'm in a good from my Kantai yuri high, and am gobbling a couple of the doujins up now. ^_^

Thanks for the info! Now I'll just have to wait until Sony sells off their rights to the franchise or something. They should sell Bloodborn while they are at it.

Will get Bloodborne if they ever release it for the PC, in some future, heh.

I almost missed this! Good thing I did an about-turn to stop and read it. I quite enjoy the story. Guess it's because I'm a Sono x Satomi supporter. Satomi is so hot, by the way! <3

I feel bad for Hiroko, although unwittingly it's karma sort of biting her in the ass. Kudos on her for letting go of Sono to allow the pursue of true happiness.

Dark_Tzitzimine, do let us know of a release date for the anime, when there is one! I did enjoy Senran Kagura and Queen's Blade myself. Might be shocking, but for a heavy fanservice type anime, Queen's Blade does have a good amount of yuri shoved between all the 4 seasons, although it might not be to everyone's taste.

More "lovely" misunderstandings ensue! And cookie's harem sure is growing bigger by the day. :D

Update!

I was reading this doujin again, as I love the couple to bits. And, I've also caught up with the anime. Guess what? Nagato and Mutsu are almost as good as canon! Yay! Although the pay-off will take awhile to happen. :D

You seem to be using lesbian and yuri as two words with completely different meanings. Could you explain how you define the two? If I'm reading it correctly, are you banking on a focus to the romance as a defining trait for a yuri show?

Yes here I'm using yuri as it is used for a yuri magazine => romance between girls. So no in my opinion it's not because there is a lesbian in the show or because it's talking metaphorically about how lesbian are treated in society or other lesbian matter that it is yuri. Not that I wouldn't like these kind of manga.
I won't say that I never use the word for other things, i'm not inflexible but when it's too far away from it (I consider being too metaphorical moving away here), even if there is a "bear" "eating" a girl in a sexual explicit way because the girl have a gorgeous smelI just after having eaten ohter girls, I can't see it as yuri.
But once again I didn't see more than episode 2 (or maybe 3, I don't remember) x)

Uh, then isn't it a little premature for you to judge whether a show has any yuri or not, based on 1 or 2 episodes? If I did that, I would have missed out on anime like Sengoku collection, where all the yuri more or less appeared somewhere in the middle to much later on. ^_^;

Anyways, Yuri Kuma Arashi is a yuri show. These are facts. Whether or not a show is yuri, isn't defined by one's perception of the genre, but whether there is any actual yuri going on (Canon, strong subtext..etc). In Yuri Kuma Arashi's case, YES, it has canon yuri romance. Not just that, but the plot actually revolves around it, which is rare to see in anime these days, as the trend is subtext yuri stuff at most or yuri that is limited to side characters.

However, you don't have to like the series. It also does require a bit of analyzing to get the full context, plus it's visual portrayal may not tickle everyone's fancy. If this is not to your cup of tea, you should watch something else! :D

For those who watched the anime, how is the subtext like between Nagato and Matsu?

Delighted to feast my eyes upon a new chapter as always! :D

My only major complaint is the undone art, which I feel breaks the flow and thus my immersion as well. Also, the pace feels a lot slower in this one. But, it could also be attributed to the lengthier down-time than usual between the previous chapter and this chapter.

On another note, I see a few people saying that Sara's confession sparks a realization within Mei, in regards to Yuzu's feelings for her. But I beg to differ. I think it causes her anguish. Like she feels that Yuzu doesn't return the kind of romantic love she is hoping for. She knows that Yuzu genuinely cares for her as a person (I hope! Or the mangaka needs a good shaking in terms of storyline consistency). Now, how about as someone more? To be fair, Yuzu has never been really clear in giving out the right sort of signals in that department.

I foresee more angst, not less, in the near future! But I will love it all the same. ^_^

Pg 003 is like, wow! Gorgeous as hell! That should totally be included as part of the actual manga scenes.

Yeah but still...Even if Matsuri suddenly changed, her character is deep down the same. My problem is that Harumin is wayyy better than Matsuri, both inside and out. You can't even compare them, that's how different they are , and not in a cute way... Honestly, Matsuri, deep down, is still annoying and wants to create trouble. Harumin deserves way better than that, and I would even prefer to see her with a nice guy, than Matsuri ><

Well, some of us ship Harumin with glasses-senpai, who appears a little here and there, mostly within student council scenes, and in that one special involving a larger convo with Harumin. :D

I haven't watched the show yet. Just came across that this has yuri, is directed by our fabled Utena director and has a manga right here! This is going to my watch list. Hopefully, even though it seems to have garnered a lot of controversial opinions, it shall be to my taste. ^_^

I enjoyed the one-shot. Thank you YP for doing this, along with your many great projects. ^_^

The character designs are nice. And senpai is gorgeous. As they say, may the best (or first) woman wins. And, there is still room for their dynamics to change. Nothing is set in stone yet. Senpai and Kanako aren't in a full-out genuine relationship at this point, and the latter and Ayaka are still in limbo on their own status.

My only gripe is Ayaka's line of thought when it comes to sex. That it has to be associated with male perverts or some sort. Can't a girl like sex, and possibly be a pervert too? -_-"

That is a trope that is always beating up that dead horse.
