Darn it what-if!Marin! I thought you'd be competent enough against Booba ninja. Tho the extras have established Sakura is actually pretty OP. I guess only Konoha could beat that.

Speaking of, curious as to what exactly Konoha was looking at. CivEng gave a pretty good hint but I'm still curious. My first thought was related to Aoi.

As for the other mystery: I actually think Ayaka didn't kill Yuri. Kuro successfully mindwiped her while Momiji covered it all up.

I actually think it was related to herself. What-ifs almost never give that kind of peaceful relief. If it was better then you’d typically feel regret. If it was worse than you’d typically breathe out a puff of air in “what a relief!” kind of way.

My best guess is “What if her childhood family tragedy never happened”. I would like to think that she is in a state of mind that makes her feel like she was always rotten to the core and no matter what, she will always be the cold-blooded killer. You know, because she had so much blood on her hands to the point where she was almost numb before her galpal came along.

But, seeing how she could be a happy and kind girl in the “what-if” machine gave her hope that there could still be better things in her if she tried. She was good before the tragedy, and she can be good eventually.

But whatever, it’s not like Hamburger-San is going to tell. That’s just my headcanon.

And I gotta say, this extra issue and all the other extras are just so entertaining. He really knows what the audience wants ~
(And bring on more powerful and skilled murders!)

^ No if it’s sent from Renako then maybe she’d have even less of a excuse to support the post because it means being loving with Ajisai is Renako’s desire and decision, even when Mai shown her love countless times.

So if she likes Ajisai’s post, it means she supports Ajisai’s pursuit of Renako, but it doesn’t necessarily mean Renako would accept. As is seen, she’s quite confident throughout the show that her feelings may be rewarded, even gave Ajisai reassurance about giving Renako more love.

But if she likes Renako’s post, then it can be directly seen as a green light for Renako to Pursue Ajisai, and is directly threatening her own status as the first pursuit girlfriend.

So yeah, she respects Renako’s choices and passions, even if it means taking in more humble pie than necessary.

And ultimately, they are all friends. Don’t want to make bad vibes in the groups of besties.

^ But then again, Mai always gives Renako the choice to befriend whoever she wants, and she gets the final saying on if they do friendship or love, and even if she chooses someone else as her love interest and not her, she just copes with it.

Not to mention in this image, she even liked Ajisai’s post about her and Renako.
I suppose you could say that in a way, all the others’ relationships with Renako was kickstarted and/or supported by herself.

Also, Kaho was in this image as well. Can you spot her?

Oh, this is really nice! Pretty, and stylish, too! (Too bad the author’s previous work wasn’t even finished up here…)

Anyway, this gives me strong “Destroy it All and Love Me in Hell” storytelling plus “I Love Amy” characterization vibes, with a dash of supernatural horror elements and a LOT of insanity mixed in.

So needless to say, this is awesome. Can’t wait for the next chapter, and hope the author had it planned out!

The afterword is so relatable.
Love it.
Hope the author continues on this idea!

Reverse isakai is really not something often seen, so I’m definitely reading this one!
And I wonder if it’s still on Yuri Hime? The tag-link that says it belonged to Yuri Hime stopped after 2024.9, so I wonder which issue it’s from…

Loving their adaption to the real world! Although the title really give me a bad feeling about how this will progress…

Good story!

This is a classic “hero’s journey” type story. (That’s a legitimate story structure, look it up) I hope the group of four could be more distinguished in terms of character in the future, because…I just don’t like it when they treat any character closely associated with the protagonist only like some tool or joke.
And I should give it a thumbs up just because it isn’t isakai from the beginning.

Frankly I don’t think the “rape” part is really worth that big deal discussion at all. Mostly because it makes sense for this setting, and that it was just told about and wasn’t dwelled on.

Also I normally don’t like any “fate” setting for a hero and stuff from a higher being. It’s like the soulmate setting. Two people are destined to be compatible to each other and even though they may be insufferable for each other at first, their own curiosity for the reason (aka the author’s intentions) will push them together again and again. Not to mention it gave away the ending at first sight…

So I just basically hope that the protagonist could make more of her own path (a reasonable one, that part when they did the thing with the sword kind of confused me), and also find out what the goddess is about.

150 years is insanity…I am not even sure if she really wants to be a braver after all that. That’s enough time for some serious mental crisis to happen.
But it’s good that she still remembers the world she lives in.

So we’re already at the “resist the call” stage, fascinating…
A classic kind expedition with a lady protagonist, looking forward to that!

My goodness, that has to be the most disturbing thing I have seen in a while. (Second only to the fact that every antagonist from the manga about ninja and assassin living together ended up like red shirts, anyway. Don’t judge.)

Very well written, but really, I need some fluff after a tragedy like that.
After all, cats land on four feet, while humans…do not.
I’m guessing the constant failure made her go cuckoo and let go of everything?

The only thing that I am unable to understand is how she said how “that’s not what I meant” two times when she’s trying(?) to get something across and every time Quangyi just tells her to have some food.
Is that the conflict between the innocent happy thoughts and the bitter reality which is not a fairytale romance?

Whatever, that’s dark. This story’s going to live in my head rent-free for a while?

I bet if literature class use comics to make questions for students to solve, this one would spawn a full exam paper.

Oh, and in case it wasn’t obvious, the format is a manhua, not a manhwa or a manga. It’s supposed to be read from left to right, and the names have that away too.
And I know it’s only hinted, but there are some suggestive scenes inside.

I hope the artist’s next work would be at least a bit happier.

I read all chapters in one sitting…and this somehow has a very “everyday” feel to it, but at the same time it could be oh so wild!

The students and the teachers are all exploring love, and we already got conflicts (which are the lifeblood of storytelling) all over the place! From at least four different people!

No brainer subscribed! Very eager to see our protagonist go places and feel love from different sources!

After all…Teenagers tell the best exploration stories on their life and heart, that’s for sure!

I know people are worried that the series is going to end. Honestly, me too. But it feels like the series is at its peak in popularity (maybe hasn't even hit it's REAL peak yet??) and an anime just got announced. This is like the BEST time to gain new fans and sell more manga. Surely the author won't let this moment go to waste...? Right?

I'm praying, hoping, begging, and screaming for more lol

Yeah, me too, but I’m also tremendously worried because I’m almost certain that this manga got its popularity because of its art style. I mean, look at it, don’t you just want to keep consuming it regardless of what story it tells? So special, so stylish, possibly everyone would give it a chance, and it’s already the best of Girl’s Love on multiple manga sites.

And you know what? This kind of stuff is the most difficult if you want it animated, because it has to sacrifice it’s artistic appeal (or its uniqueness) to make it actually feasible.

I mean as an anime they will undoubtedly cut a bunch of filler scenes to make it more entertaining for anime watchers, but it’s still rather worrying. Because I’ve already heard a bunch of people complain that the art is super good but the story is a bit boring and not that spectacular.

Oh, and today I officially saw two chapters of this manga on the “Most Popular of Past 7 Days” of this site at the same time. Congratulations to this manga for the great fame!

Time to get the Ghostbusters!
But you know, I personally think Hinami can handle them herself. If the spirits dare to try anything (specially on her friends), then they certainly messed with the wrong girls…

Edit: Also I accidentally saw the title as “Did You Destroy That Slime?” instead of “Shrine” at first glance lol.

Japan x Korea? That’s an interesting combination! I knew it the moment the title looked like it was a Korean but it was a Manga instead!

Great work!

This is thrilling. No doubt. (Although I do think the author could tone down the shouting a bit or at least make it a bit more organized so I don’t feel like they’ve been wasting panels just to use it all on angry dialogue bubbles)

I had my questions when this strayed from the typical “harem” route and formed some side quests which…frankly had very little to do with the title “Sorry but I’m Not Into Yuri”.

I suppose managing a plot line with far too many interesting characters is rather difficult. Makes sense that nearly all love interests are diminishing and pursuing their own goals, except for…let me check…three left? Not to mention one of them has already claimed Toudou to such an insane degree that I don’t think there is any doubt now.

Bottom line, I still hope that in the future of this manga, we can see Toudou and her “fan club” evaluate their relationships often instead of just leave them alone. They all used to get a taste of Toudou’s love potion (whatever’s up with that now), and frankly I’d love to see that more instead of getting it swept under the rug for so long.

Making a “claim all” route is possible but still highly unlikely, as this author has never done a three-way poly route on any other story before. Which makes me even more curious about how will they tackle this issue without sacrificing the “harem” tag or the character’s essence.

However I’m still looking forward to how the author will take the route of the big bad culprit here. They do have a record of not letting anyone stay the bad guy who takes all the blame…

Jolly good show! Can’t wait for the next chapter! I hope the author could put more emphasis on their introspective ways!

And as always, Toudou is the best jerk of the school idols. She’s the one true BadGirl.

Are they bathing in that nuclear leak area that happened in Japan?
How else will they acquire so many fascinating colors in seemingly normal water?

But still, you meet the rainbow, and you taste the rainbow, you know?

Well, since this comment section is basically the forum for this pairing’s controversial discussion now, I guess I may as well say that in my opinion, Mai gets hate not just because of her “aggressive” behavior, but because she doesn’t get “likable” in a lawful sense before Ajisai beat her to the punch.

Comparison is some dangerous stuff, and in here it’s especially visible because the first two romance routes don’t get as much attention than the third (Ajisai), and once she stole the show (in a never-seen-before-in-this-manga and healthy/sweet way), others possibly couldn’t ever come close.

But still, Renako wants the best for everyone, and on top of that she’s still at a loss about what to do with “Romance”, so she will try her best to be on great terms with all her friends. In the progress (which was kickstarted by Mai herself, so in a way, a large part of Renako’s assertiveness was because of her) she get to have a better lifestyle and a better group of friends.

I also like Mai a lot. Mostly because she’s incredibly honestly emotional and competent, not to mention romantic and genuine just to get Renako’s approval. I guess for this kind of pure unfiltered go-getter, I just can’t help but root for her to win.

Probably nothing much but I noticed that despite being each other’s girlfriends, when feeling sick, she still chose to lie on her bag rather than Amano’s lap, like a very common sign of intimacy. Very interesting sign of distance and trying to get a peace of mind (she’s still trying to get revenge but still couldn’t figure out how Amano ticks).

I wonder what’s next on their plan…

^^^^^ Well, that’s cool and I knew since I have seen the Gravity Falls and DDLC myself. But I think it should be clarified that Monika is likely the most kind AI among all the “meta digital girlfriends”, since she only meddled with things in her own world because the game didn’t give her a fair path.

Yeah...I was hoping for all of the webs to be untangled, but this is also nice! Got to respect the author for being so good at it throughout, even if it was indeed super stressful for a short manga like that!

I also hoped that this setting with abnormal characters helping each other with their problems, and that the whole setting could be expanded (and include more fluff among the serious stuff) at first, but now that it's over for some time, I have to say that I'm really satisfied with what we've got! (and with it's popularity, I wonder if it could have an animae adaption one day)

Anyway, Jolly god show! Kudos, and see you around!

The author has, on occassion, mentioned that she tends to drool a lot if she's not paying attention. It's a problem some people have, incidentally. And you can hear it in her voice, she sometimes slurs her words because of it. You've gotta wonder if there's some connection there.

Very interesting. I remember vaguely that the author made a character sheet in more detail for all the main cast, which tell that her drooling is indeed inspired by personal experience…I wonder if that could be translated someday in the future.

And “hear it in her voice”, you mean the speech in the manga? I think that kind of connection would be pretty easy to understand for us, I suppose?

Oh, and by the way, I believe that first chapter of this Manga has changed a bit in some scenes in the past and in the present version?
I think someone ought to check it out because I am seeing a very different version of the first chapter here with differences that include but may not be limited to speech lines, facial expressions, shadings, and certain extended scenes?

Does anyone here know what I’m talking about?
