no girls = loli not lolicon=pedo

Lolicon is liking little girls.

Shotacon is liking little boys.

Both are what you'd call pedo in the west.

Shoujo ai is not a Japanese term for either in the first place.

when lolicon say they love girls they would say shoujo ai.

When you say "lolicon" aren't you already talking about girls?

I thought we were already out of the dark ages of shoujo ai! :(

Nobody in Japan uses that word. It's made up by westerners. I've never ever heard the use of that word not even in Chinese.

A difficult one.

So difficult that pretty much everyone else in the forum can do it easily.

Uh, no. I've been using English all my life, probably a lot longer than most of you, and calling something "trash" has been used as "without redeeming qualities" and as a definitely harsh condemnation of poor quality all that time. It's much heavier than "I don't like it".

Off topic: My computer is DED, and right after I waited months to get the full batch of Illya lyrical magica 2 BD, I can't enjoy yuri like this... I can't spam to get noticed by Nezchan senpai like this

Bad plan, I tried it but I just made her angry.

They's good notice, and they's bad notice.

Don't get no bad notice.

Het and gay male porn have some pretty big visual explosions too, just sayin'.

Please Nez... You've just made me do a big visual explosion, big spill of water coming right from my mouth unto my bed. It's all your fault!

My work is done here.

It's interesting to note, as someone who likes lesbian romance novels (which, as with het romance novels, contain sex scenes as a matter of course), I haven't really run into any that have the couple scissoring. It's all mouth and hands, same as in yuri, although some of the more porny ones have stuff like strap-ons.

As to porn, since it's a very visual medium it follows that the most visual positions will be given priority.

Wow, I had never thought of it that way.
Porn has big visual positions and Michael Bay has big visual explosions. It all makes sense!

I also heard that real life lesbians don't do scissoring/tribadism, but we see it all the time in yuri hentai (is this some sort of male fantasy or something?). So that would make yuri hentai mostly (if not exclusively) targeted towards males?

A lot of lesbians don't scissor, but a lot do as well. The same way a lot of gay men don't like anal sex, or a lot of people regardless of orientation don't like toys while others do.. Every position isn't for everyone, simply put.

As to porn, since it's a very visual medium it follows that the most visual positions will be given priority.

funny coincidence, the soldiers have the letter 内 on their uniforms. 内 is read as nei in chinese which... you know... neigh

Is "neigh" a Japanese onomatopoeia though, given cats there say "nyaa" rather than "meow"?

A quick look shows Japanese horses tend to say "hihiin" instead. So unless it's a really obscure bilingual pun, I'd chalk it up to coincidence for sure.

It's not just Japan. There's an old joke here that goes how do you know you're from Nova Scotia? When you find myself waiting for the light to change and there's no traffic in sight. At 3 am. On Sunday night. In the rain.

Disclaimer: I am from Nova Scotia. I have actually done this.

That's different, Japanese people don't do it because rule. The newfie does it because dumb.

Pls don't kill me!

Where does Newfoundland come from? Capers throwin' rocks at the shithawks.

So where do the Newfies come from? The ones who was too dumb to let go.

I'm a bad person.

There was no traffic, no pedestrians, not even a stray animal.. Yet they they're waiting for the light to change so they can cross the street. SMH

J walking is illegal, good Japanese no break rule banzai! Actually it depends on where you live, I learned that J walking is a thing in Tokyo. But I also been told that a bunch of jogging runners stop at red lights with 0 cars in sight in many towns and cities.

The girls are respecting the rules while doing something even more bold anyhow, it's kind of funny. Public displays of affection of this nature can be frowned upon even for straight people.

All I can say is thank Glob that storyline's done with. Now let us never speak of it again.

Which I'm sure is exactly what's going to happen.

They have gotten a lot closer, no doubt about it. But it's understandable as they have been living together for more than a year. And they actually get a lot of skinship because of their stretching practice. I don't think anyone in the world has ever been that close to Keiko, except her ex-bf. Though even him doesn't probably know some of the Keiko Ran knows about.

I don't think Keiko would deny that Ran is now a big part of her life. And if Ran'd leave for some reason, that would hit her really hard. They are clearly a unit.

But I can't see even a kiss happening yet, unless Ran gets drunk and pretends she forgot everything after the deed.

Honestly, I think a kiss would be meaningless unless Keiko was the one to do it. Or ask Ran to, I suppose.

The change of topic to booze is as much as a change of topic as it is a chance for her to take her mind off the possibility that Keiko may leave her soon, I don't see it as drowning her feels as someone suggested, at least not to the extent that phrase suggests, i.e. getting deliberately drunk so that she runs away from her feelings. I see it as Ran getting an extension of her 'date' with Keiko.

I wonder if the booze is so much that as part of an overall facade that includes some of the rest of her goofiness, a way to keep things light between them. She doesn't want to scare Keiko away, so she needs to always keep things from getting too heavy and I think at least in part the booze stuff is a tool for that.

"but i want to you like the things i like..."
This is the kind of thing a girlfriend says, I think

My thought exactly.

All the more hints that Ran slowly works at being more than friend.

I don't think Shou throws that kind of things in innocently, since he's very attentive to details.

But he sure takes his time.

Well, if we're talking details, Ran's line there is very clearly a girlfriend comment and significantly Keiko seems to accept it in very much that sense. In any case, she definitely reacts as if this is something she recognizes as important to her and Ran as a unit, if not a couple yet.

Is it just me, or does this read like Takemiya Jin would have written it?

I would agree with that. It is a bit more playful/childish in how it is written despite the more mature themes, which seems very Jin-like to me.

There's also the comedic self-narration, and the moment of "I got myself all worked up about something so silly?" and laughing at herself at the end that Jin seems to like.

The only issue I have is how easy it would be to do it manually, if you're quoting more than one person in a comment. Hopefully any design would keep that in mind.

Loved that casual confesion at the end.

I picture it as whispered into her ear, but with a smile. Like confiding in someone.

Guys, if you insist on having these chat-like one-liner exchanges, could you please at least trim the five hundred nested replies? Y'all really end up dominating comment threads that way.

I think that bit at the end was pretty significant, where Ran asks about nightmares. After all, at least part Kyouko's trauma was centred around her miscarriage, and the fact that she's okay around kids now and is no longer having nightmares about it suggests she's healed quite a lot. And, more troubling for Ran, may now be less adverse to a "normal" relationship with a man.

The bit in the music store was interesting though, suggesting that there are depths to Ran that simply aren't obvious at first glance. Nice that Keiko's noticing that.

Sorry about the intermittent locking, folks. Gotta clean up after somebody pooped their pants repeatedly. Resuming normal service shortly.

For me, Takemiya Jin, Morishima Akiko, Hajime Mikuni, Fujieda Miyabi and Amano Shininta are at the top for original yuri; Personal Colour, Pikachi, Millet Soup, Mikami Komata, Fukutarou and Yohane really do it for me for doujins, and I like Mitsuru Adachi, Kozue Amano, Hitoshi Ashinano and some things CLAMP does when it comes to non-yuri stuff.

Oh, and there's really only one yaoi I really like, and that's Mainichi Seiten by Sugano Akira and Ninimiya Etsumi.
