^ I don't think Asuka has a mean side, more likely an insecurity she tries to compensate for by mothering people. She seemed quite hurt in the college chapter by Tomoko's deflecting behavior. Tomoko's entrusting her with the truth about herself, on the other hand, erased any kind of shock she might have had. And Tomoko was freaking adorable, bunching up her skirt like that.

This scene in ch. 145 was funny as hell.

^ Asuka was at her lovely best, and Nemo and Yuri were not. What's funny is that Nemo is fully conscious of how weak with Asuka Tomoko is.

^ I disagree; she actually intervened on Yuri's behalf rather than just tried to get along in 144. There wasn't any certain payoff in that. I thought that it was subtle. You could see it coming but not know it was coming, throughout the chapter. It's a clear background to what's happening here.

^ No, they clearly don't. It sounds like a boob joke took off on its own with Watamote as a pretext. Anna is a really interesting, perceptive character who definitely has boundaries. And her boobs aren't that big! She's pretty much the one who keeps Yoshida in line while being gentle most of the time, although she can be a little jaded about Yoshida's innocence. I don't know where this nonsense came from.

None of the people who have been generating stuff about Anna have the slightest idea of what she's about. (Except for the one where she makes sure that Yoshida answers Mako's feelings, "Untitled YoshiMako Manga".)

Asuka would probably be taken aback by how radical Tomoko's foolishness was, but Tomoko laid herself bare to Asuka along those lines. Asuka would probably be shocked, get over it, scold Tomoko a little, have a serious short talk with Hina, go off by herself, and laugh. It's hard to be angry at a pet, for long. Asuka can't seem to get rid of the love she has, and Tomoko is a love sponge. A vag compliment here, a vag compliment there doesn't make much difference.

What's great is that this is EXACTLY how Yoshida would act comforting Mako and EXACTLY the expression she would have. It also captures Yoshida's beauty.

^ What it looks like is that Mako heard some bad news about a family member or close friend and Yoshida is giving her a shoulder to cry on. I just don't connect it with the manga chapter because Mako wasn't distraught there, just moved. I actually like not knowing what it is. It's a lovely image. It captures their evolving friendship.
