Whatever happened it can't have been too horrible. The delinquent looks more being there for her than outraged/furious.

^ What it looks like is that Mako heard some bad news about a family member or close friend and Yoshida is giving her a shoulder to cry on. I just don't connect it with the manga chapter because Mako wasn't distraught there, just moved. I actually like not knowing what it is. It's a lovely image. It captures their evolving friendship.
