The title says it all. I am assuming only scantilators have the right to submit manga they have worked on for approval and upload? I ask because there are some old classic yuri flavored manga that have been translated in full years ago by people who have long since vanished and I am curious if there is a way for those types of works to actually find their way into the Dynasty Reader collection.

It's nice seeing people give this one a chance. It's well worth the read. I am very fond of realistic atypical love stories.

I'm amaze that this story is finally here. I love this manga so much! I was hooked on this story for days now. This probably not a yuri story, but people should read this. Very warmth story between two people that bonded by painful event. The interactions of Shino and Nozomi are the cutest things about this manga.

Going romantic or not, either way is fine with me. If the author chose to make it "romantic" between the MC's well the question is how would gonna do it without being or look unnatural? I mean, it is perfect the way it is and how it flows. Making it romantically all of a sudden is kinda...Idk, maybe a time skip can be the answer. Going to trust the author, he/she noted that he/she knows what she's doing...lol

Having said this, I think its a shame when good stories like this don't even get a chance to be read by the yuri purists simply because it lacks a tag.

Well, yeah, but finally that’s on them. I like well-written stories, and this is one of them. Other people evidently don’t see stories as works of narrative craft as much as groups of fictional but real people whose choices and actions amount to positive or negative judgments on the values of those readers themselves.

Some tags are pretty binary—either there are glasses or swimsuits or Shrine maidens or there aren’t. “Subtext” and “yuri” and “yuri crush” are always going to be subjective categories with blurry and contested boundaries, and if people are going to not read good stories because of the presence or absence of one or the other of those tags, that’s a choice they get to make.

Meanwhile, I’ll be out here looking for the best story with glasses-wearing shrine maidens in swimsuits.

Amen, we share similar tastes but you forgot the mandatory Lizard, Mecha, BDSM, Choose Your Own Adventure tags.

But seriously I do agree with the sentiment that judging a book by its cover or in this case tags is generally not a wise policy outside of a few rare red flag tags that depict something a person has some sort of psychological problem with.

I mean, they say stuff like "this photo could be captioned with 'we just got married'". If that's not subtexty I don't know what is; but then in my personal opinion subtext-tag is cancer and should be purged.

I actually find tag-angst in the discussion forum to be rather amusing, so I'm fine with it. Part of the fun in this one is just how far the idea that there could be a sexual-attraction component to their relationship is from the consciousness of either character.

Sleeping together while holding hands--sure, mother/daughter, big sis/little sis, whatever.

So how about if they decide that it's fine to sleep together but they're really more comfortable sleeping in the nude? Isn't that fine too? And goodnight kisses? Perfectly normal. Checking each others' breasts for lumps? Medically recommended, and best done regularly. lol

(Actually, this one is so well-written that I'm OK with whatever the author wants to do, romance or otherwise.)

I'm certainly not part of the torch and pitch fork crowd when it comes to all romances or dramas needing to be yuri flavored and actually tend to appreciate more realistic stories like this one where men not only exist but they aren't all evil stalkers and wife beaters and not all women are lesbians. I mean how could stuff like referring to the woman you live with as your wife, swearing to stay together and take care of one another as they get older, joking about fondling each others boobs while naked and getting rabidly jealous at the mere thought of the other dating a guy etc. be considered anything less than subtext?

I'm not going to lose sleep over how something on here gets tagged, but it would be nice if there was some consistency.

Thanks, my Spanish is weak, but if the group translating this ever gives up it's nice to know I have an emergency back up option. It wouldn't be the first time I had to resort to Spanish translations to finish a manga. I just wish my Spanish was a little better. I lose so much of the nuance and comprehension if I have to limp along in Spanish.

I really like this one.

I can't get into this series, since I discovered that Ootori Manhiro is a guy. All I can think is: This reads like the fantasy of a teenage boy.

So if the author was a woman then suddenly it would be better and more acceptable? If Comiket has taught me anything, it's that women have fantasies just as weird and fucked up as men.
I can't even imagine what the reactions here would be if Mira was revealed to be a man, makes me wonder how many yuri authors pretend to be women just to avoid this kind of comment.

Anyway, I might be the only one, but I actually enjoy this manga, the art is pretty unique (though the proportions are a bit random) and it's like reading a story set in a different universe where our moral and logic doesn't apply.

I would much rather read a ecchi story writen by a woman. It feels like I'm sharing a fantacy with her, very sexy. While reading a ecchi story by a guy, feels kinda awkward, a little like watching porn with a room full of your friends.

Plus I find guys tend to write women too raunchy. Women can write sex too, but their work leans towards more subtle. I have always suspected Mira as being a guy.

I doubt Mira is a guy. She is pretty well documented as a woman in addition to the fact that her writing style is pretty feminine although that by itself is never a good indicator of the sex of the author. Some of the most horrifying, rape-filled, guro torture porn I have stumbled across was written by a woman and I have seen cute fuzzy yuri love stories written by men.

This was a deep manga, but even if the message/symbolism is interesting, I don't think I share the same obsession with dicks than the author.

Yeah, there was more to it than just dick jokes.

I've seen all of those - or read the manga - with the exception of that heroine thing and Further than the Universe (and the new FLCL but I have no intention of sullying good memories). Well. Flip Flappers I've only watched after the comment here but it's precisely the sort of thing that I wasn't asking about - genki girl meets bookish girl ... I mean, it wasn't that bad. But also kinda meh.

Same for Izetta. I was positively surprised by a bunch of characters dying but it's still this very "anime gurrrls doing things"-like production.

What hit the spot better was Devilman Lady, actually. I mean, it's older, but I must have missed it back in the days when I watching more ;) Features an adult, bi-sexual heroine who (among other things...) clearly has something going on with a high school girl. And her ally/enemy is MtF. It's precisely does not that stupid one-dimensional character trope rubbish ("oh look, another tsundere!") but has (...by anime standards) nuanced, realistic characters that slowly develop over the story.
Alas, it's pretty crappy. Particularly the action scenes are just rubbish (and there's a lot of them). And the end is kinda "let's just completely go off the rails 'cause this is an anime!" sort of stuff. But, still. At least it tried!

I'm currently trying Red Garden but the pace of that thing is driving me up the walls. Look at how ... nothing happens. And still nothing happens. Let's go to the other girl. Oh, nothing happens. Well, what about this girl? Also nothing happening. Let's have some more nothing happening ...

I'm impressed, very few have watched Magical Witch Punie-Chan. It's an odd show but watching her break people's knees and twist their arms out of their sockets never gets old. Also Potato Dono's epic suicide after peeling his own face off is strait up legendary.

It seems you've watched a lot of anime. Here are some more suggestions for stories with strong female leads.

How about Akatsuki no Yona, Happy Sugar Life, Higurashi, Shinsekai Yori, Made in Abyss, Kokkoku, Blood, Witch Hunter Robin, Perfect Blue, Angel's Egg, Princess Mononoke, Houseki no Kuni (Not sure if they count as women), Juuni Kokuki, Akame ga Kill, Inuyasha or Jigoku Shoujo?

Hmmm, now I really am starting to struggle to think up new ones. If you are cool with romance and dramas then there are a ton, but I get the feeling you aren't really looking for that.

ugh, fellas, this story is an unfortunate turn-off for me. right off the bat, using your pointer finger to finger someone? middle works best, then add your ring finger, THEN pointer finger if your partner still wants more (this is just from my experiences, talk to your partner and ask if what you're doing feels good). she's not even using her palm for pete's sake! that's basic lesbian 101.

i do admit that the communication aspect of this surprised me- only for me to change my mind when she suddenly used a ball gag. if you're gonna cut off someone's ability to vocally stop sex, then you gotta have a visual signal, especially if you not only have them blindfolded, but tied up as well. just think about how vulnerable that makes your partner. jumping from vanilla right into some serious bdsm, even with consent, is just- i don't know- super unrealistic to me. but what do i know, it's a manga.

I wouldn't call it unrealistic at all, unwise perhaps. I won't go into details but losing my virginity involved razor blades and blood play when all I had experienced up to that point was light kissing, so yeah people certainly can and do end up getting tossed into way deeper water without much warning in the real world.

Edit: Before people jump on this and start screeching, I am NOT advocating doing this sort of thing as the experience was actually a bit messed up and traumatic. I'm just pointing out that that what happened in this story is not unrealistic nor is it even particularly intense by real world comparisons.

Meh, now I want to watch something yuri~ish with a mature female lead...

I've already rewatched Moribito and 12 Kingdoms. I followed that by some Kill la Kill and Soul Eater and Nanoha (although I wasn't in the mood for that and none of them are exactly mature, but at least they aren't just comedy). And some Guardian of Sinners (but even that leads into some really weird harem).

I mean, it's fine and all, and it's not like there aren't others too, but the bulk of what I watched is kinda from 2012 and earlier, and you'd think, after half a decade or so there'd at least one or two new ones instead of always rewatching the same stuff (or watching male leads or slice-of-life girls-only sort of stuff or romance. Nothing against any of that, just not what I always want ^^; )

How about Black Lagoon, Michiko and Hatchin, Mnemosyne, Gun Slinger Girl, FLCL's various incarnations, Flip Flappers, Madoka Magica, Ghost in the Shell Movie and Stand Alone Complex, Magical Witch Punie-chan, Saga of Tanya the Evil, To be Heroine, Kino's Journey and Serial Experiment Lain?

All of these mentioned above are action packed and have bad ass female main characters in them. If you don't mind some more chill stuff with great female leads then I highly recommend Girl's Last Tour and a Place Further than the Universe which are both compelling stories despite a lack of action.

As an annoying loudmouth who never shuts up, upon finishing this story, I have been left speechless.

From the perspective of our main characters Rikou is originally from the past although since the guy is looping through time over and over again and basically can step through time at will it's hard to really pinpoint his existence as being from any one time or place. Much like Toko, his existence ends up transcending a single time line and is rather the end result of countless loops and iterations through various branching parallel worlds.
