I'll admit that after reading Sakura no Sono I'd pretty much given up on this author. She had a girl get heartbroken, raped, abused, manipulated, and end with her spending the rest of her life taking care of her assailant, who's been turned into a geriatric infant for no apparent reason. Then I checked out Bokura no Hentai and now this, and I've been really surprised with how respectfully the characters' issues are handled. In spite of the dark themes, I think this story is one of the most sensitive romances on this site.

Er, you do realize that this site is entirely based around gay manga to begin with, right? It just tends to focus on girl x girl stuff rather than guy x guy stuff in general.

Really great Homura x Madoka. Can't recommend it enough. Set in an AU with no supernatural elements, the characters' personalities are strong, defined, and interesting, at least to me. The chapters are perhaps a little monotonous, but I love how sweetly Madoka deals with Homura's emotional and physical health issues.

I'm aware that men and women have slightly different facial structure, yes. I would say the figures in the above artwork look like fairly realistically proportioned women, not cross-dressing men. I think they look a little masculine to people due to the nose, chin, and jaw, which are more defined here than on most anime-styled women.

The issue of the life span disparity is probably unavoidable. Kanna will live on after Saikawa's death. However I think it's plausible that Kanna's appearance would change along with Saikawa's, as she mentally matured in the human world.

It was said that their human forms are symbolically equivalent to their dragon forms. I suppose as long as Kanna is a little girl dragon, she will appear as a little girl human.

I don't think we're supposed to consider the one-shot to be on the same timeline as the series.

Exactly why not? So far as I can tell this series retcons the ending of the one shot but doesn't contradict it.
