OK, juice oranges (like the ones on the tree in my backyard) can indeed be a b*tch to peel and eat, because they're really--wait for it--juicy. Other varieties can be much easier, and navel oranges can be almost as easy as tangerines. And then there are tangelos . . .
^ Nothing happens in the story?!? SJ goes to the pharmacy, the kid from the bus shows up, and there's citrus fruit!
What do you want--an invasion of demons from another dimension?
Yeah I don't know what they want. I always run into people that don't "get" slice of life, the point or the appeal. People often expect a demon invasion or something dramatic that has a clear cut goal, while I enjoy those stories as well I also love slice of life because it's very relaxed and calming. The point is to just follow the lives of the main characters, the appeal is their personalities and relationship dynamics. Plus whatever they're doing might be something of interest to the reader, like a slice of life that follows a couple of friends that try out various cafes or something.
Concerned about sirens in the distant.....
I read this as I was literally hearing sirens in the distance. Should I be concerned?
The main character is really weak. It's really disgusting.
Who hurt you? This is a school full of children that were taken and trained as soldiers, expected to die before their 18th birthday. So you call a child in a lonely situation "disgusting" for crying because her arm got cut off? I'm sorry but what? I've heard some pretty insane things on these forums before, but this is definitely up there.
Edit: I genuinely don't like the idea that supposed weakness, which everyone has their weaknesses, is something that's disgusting. It's part of the nonsense narrative that men can't cry. Everyone gets stronger by acknowledging that they have a side of them that's not strong and that they can't be strong in every situation. People don't get stronger from others always beating them down and being toxic about weakness, crying, and strength. Compassion and Empathy are also great strengths.

I think a lot of artists that draw skinny women with large breasts and thick thighs are drawing what they want. They're drawing something that they don't see normally because art doesn't have to be realistic. A lot of artists aren't claiming to be realistic, they're intentionally stylized and exaggerated. Which I think is fine.
I've noticed a lot of people think artists should just confine themselves to only drawing realistically. Which I often think is just the viewer attempting to confine the artist to a narrow box. I also think that's absurd because art is a medium where people can draw anything they want, anything that comes to mind. It's not bound by our own reality and the like.
People are completely entitled to their opinions and preferences. You're free to dislike skinny with large breasts and thighs. Just as artists are free to like and draw them. Also notably I'm saying this as someone who very much likes this piece of art, I like the way the bodies are drawn here.

That's the thing, a lot of anime art and the like is very stylized. I rarely if ever relate anime characters to IRL, because of how stylized they tend to be and separating fiction from reality isn't hard. Plus anime ages are also all over the place with various body types.
There's also such a thing as very petite women, I'm not sure if some people realize that. Some adult women are under 5 feet tall & have small breasts, or are completely flat chested. Japanese women (and I think men?) are known for being on the smaller end some of the time. Edit: I do know every country has different height averages.
Ultimately though I agree with the person/people saying Pearl doesn't look like a loli. She's just small, nothing weird or unusual about that.

I think the bottom line is simply that they're zombies. Zombies are fictional and you can do whatever you want with them. Stressing/thinking about how zombies should work makes less than the idea of them getting horny and so fourth. In my opinion it's best to just kick back and enjoy it. The art is cute & hot plus they're an adorable ship.

Eh, more like she actually had to face a consequence for once and doesn't like how that feels.
^This.
It's not over the top or even shounen like, it's just that someone finally called her out on her bullshit. Which was likely the first time in her life anyone has done so. Plus it was her crush that did it. Both of those factors are enough to completely shatter her world, in my opinion at least.

I haven't seen a bully get destroyed that hard in a long time. Getting completely destroyed emotionally by your crush has to be an awful feeling, but who else can you blame but your self? When it's your own actions that caused them to despise you.
Additional note. Part of Mordred's character is that she desired to be King, a worthy heir to Arthur. However Arthur told her that she's not fit to rule. If I remember correctly Arthur communicated that poorly, she likely meant that Mordred isn't fit to rule because Mordred is quick to anger, rash, and not emotionally stable enough to rule fairly. Mordred took it poorly, which is understandable, but that lead to feelings of self doubt and hating Arthur. That lead to Arthur's eventual death.
I firmly believe the things Mordred identifies as are, Heir/King, Knight and Warrior. Which happen to be "male" things in that society, so Mordred not wanting to be treated in a feminine manner are more of a side product of society excluding women from those rules, especially in one like Camelot and old England. So I'd argue the focal point is how society views gender and the roles tied to gender.
Tldr: Society and it's conditioned ideas of gender roles are a pain in the ass, have been, and still unfortunately are a pain in the ass a lot the time.

I wouldn't say "he" is accurate either, Mordred isn't trans. It's more that she doesn't want to be treated like a woman because she grew up hiding her gender in order to be one of the knights of the round table, as part of her infiltration to kill Arthur. Similar to King Arthur assuming the role of being a "man" solely for the sake of being the King. Mordred wants to be treated like she's on par with the guys in terms of rough housing, combat, and being "manly".
She's also Tsundere and gets mad about a lot of things, I don't think she 100% rejects the notion of being treated like a woman, necessarily, it's mostly that she finds it embarrassing. That's the main thing, I don't think she has a problem with being referred to as "she", Japanese or other language translation, it's just that she doesn't want to be treated like a woman, because her idea of being a knight and a warrior is associated with the dated idea that those are things guys did. Which makes sense because she's from old England.
Ultimately at the end of the day Mordred is a conflicted character, who was thrust into that role by her mother, Morgan. Mordred desires the acknowledgement and parental love of Arthur while also being destined to kill her.

The bit about being left handed I actually find amusing. It's something that people often don't think about, but I've mentioned to some friends/family before that some people throughout history will hate you because you're different than the average "norm" no matter how small the difference, so just be proud of who you are. Don't let other people make you feel bad because you're different than they are.
For example the whole thing with left handedness is one of the original terms for it is "sinistral", because apparently us left handed folk are inherently evil and sinister. Some religious schools (not sure if it's still a thing, but probably somewhere), you'd have left handed people forced to use their right hand and their left hand would be tied down. Sometimes even beaten for it from what I've heard and read.
There are some people out there that are just stupid jerks about any aspect of you that's different than themselves, to which I say F'em. Just be you and don't stress about the people being jerks.
THAT WAS PLEASANT, Mochi Au Lait-sensei should stick to writing only, get an average/good illustrator to get it done and you're all set
I don't mind their art; I just want more than 4 page chapters.
I feel like the entire yuri genre has turned into these mini-chapters in the last year or two. Whatever happened to actual SERIES'?!
I know you're likely using hyperbole, but we still do get a good amount of series, arguably we're even in a yuri boom currently. Plus if you follow manga news outlets you'll see that we're going to be getting more series starting up soon.
One problem is also translators sometimes or often drop series. Another problem is sometimes authors have to stop making series because they need to focus on efforts like school or work, so they can make actual money to support themselves. Manga unfortunately doesn't always pay the bills to my knowledge, even more so if you're a small time author. So that's why a lot of authors do cute short stories on the side, which in my opinion is fine. Someone gets an idea and shares it with the rest of us through a short but sweet story, simple and to the point. Plus a lot of one-shots really don't need to be full length series since they effectively get the idea across. I much rather have an author do one-shots than a full series when they can't (at least currently) fully dedicate themselves to it. It helps keep their passion for creating going, without taking to much time out of school and work.
I'm tired so I'm likely going to forget a ton of series, but here's a general list of currently ongoing longer format yuri series. For starters here's 3 recently ended yuri series: Swap <-> Swap, A Kiss and A White Lily, Furry-Eared Mel. Yuzumori-san and Shinozaki-san Ki wo Ota Shika ni! both ended last year. Moving on to the longer format yuri series that are still currently ongoing: Bloom Into You, Kase-san, Bright Amnesia, Citrus+, Shimeji Simulation, My Cute Little Kitten, Tadokoro-san, Fusoroi no Renri, Lily Marble, Useless Princesses, A Love Letter for the Marching Puppy, My Unrequited Love, Hana Ni Arashi, Futari Monologue, Murcielago, Miss Sunflower, Vampire-chan × Junior-chan, Tsurezure Biyori, Nettaigyo wa Yuki ni Kogareru, We Can't Draw Love, Yuri Is My Job. Not sure if you'd count things like, Do You Think Someone Like You Could Defeat the Demon Lord?, Oddman 11, Dragon Maid. There's also the two Chinese series Beloved L and Their Story. Along with a good amount of Korean series as well.
If my math is correct I listed I think a total of 21 currently ongoing Japanese yuri manga series. That's without including the ones I'm unsure about such as Dragon Maid. I also didn't include things like Yuru Yuri either, since I'm not sure if something like that counts either. Even if you're not a fan of any of them, there are plenty of series out there. Plus I know for a fact that I didn't list 5-10 other series because the author or the translation is MIA. One reason is that some series haven't gotten a fan update in awhile because they got licensed, so I'm not sure if they're still ongoing or not.
Additionally as I said previously we're getting new series announcements recently as well. Here's one example quote from a manga news Twitter I follow "Upcoming Kiss magazine issue 5/2019 with Wandering Son creator Shimura Takako's new manga series start "Otona ni natte mo" (Even if I'm an adult) on its cover. It's about a woman who falls in love with another woman".
Edit: Hopefully this is informative and not rude, I'm not trying to argue with anyone. Just trying to be helpful, but sometimes my intent comes off the wrong way, apologies if that's the case here. I edited some of my wording to hopefully be a bit softer and less intense. Apologies also for the lengthy post.

One thing I'd personally like to see (again? might have seen it before) is a love triangle where they're all equally in love with each other.
Edit: Or maybe one where two people love the same person, and they both appreciate that the other has "good taste", so they can accept and in a way love each other as well.

I don't get how it's ruined. The joke is based off the "the birds and bees", which directly relates to sex. It's not really relevant if actual bees do it or not. The book could simply be a "how sex works" book in the same vein as "the birds and the bees", which is exactly what I think the creator is going for instead of a book that has a literal title.

I think Miyako is a well enough written character with her own personality and quirks that I personally wouldn't call her a self-insert. I love her relationship with her sister and some of those heart warming moments, the really calm moments where she acknowledges and she accepts Hinata even if she's often clingy and energetic. Just my opinion though.
@Victim: What's better than spending Halloween in a tent with your lover? I think that's the only way to spend the holiday, but I've never been someone who is into parties and the like. I'd love to go camping with a friend or two on any holiday myself, instead of the norm traditions just doing your own thing is the best. Anyhow though, these two are definitely always adorable.

As far as I know Cool-kyou knows how to do good character writing, relationships that progress well over the story. Wholesomeness and some commentary that's deep. The guy also makes what he likes and he's clearly not ashamed about his love of oppai, oppai lolis, and so fourth. Alright if that makes you uncomfortable, but don't expect him to cater to a specific individual's interests and what makes them uncomfortable. Notably I'm not a fan of Iruru's design either, but if you follow the author it's just something you should expect. One of his ongoing manga that started in 2013 is one where a short guy is always getting into accidents, that end with him falling into his tall female friend's huge breasts, which literally results in him ejaculating on them, that is not a rare or even uncommon occurrence. Not sure if the mods will get mad at me for saying that, but that's one of his ongoing manga with 47 or so chapters. You get used to it.

Actually, the drawing style doesn't help here: it's pure moe and does a disservice to the seriousness of the theme. I can't take the characters seriously when they act all cute and >.< , say "nya" and go "kyaa" on frilly clothes.
No offense, but it's a bit odd coming from someone called "Nya-chan". I personally will say that if my manga about a bunch of sexual minorities can't be moe, then it can go pack it's bags and move to America or something. Part of the reason I like manga is because they draw the characters cutely, I used to read American comics but a lot of "serious" ones turn me off because, frankly, I find the art style ugly and the people seem to be drawn specifically to be UNattractive.
Tezuka drew cartoony characters in manga that are masterworks of world literature by any standard worth upholding. My two favorite manga probably, Koi Kaze and Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou, both have very cute characters yet handle themes as serious as anything.
If my manga transgender/cross dressing/non-binary/queer characters can't be cute and squee over cute clothes, have teenage drama, love affairs, and be moe while they do it, all the while taking on serious issues, then there is no point to manga and beauty and cuteness. And I will defend the justice of cuteness till I die!
Amen to this. I genuinely dislike the idea that a series has to have "X" art to be taken seriously. The only thing doing a disservice to the series and the seriousness of the themes here is anyone that judges something like this on a surface deep level. It comes across as shallow and insulting to the artist in my opinion.
@BugDevil and @Midnightgunner: I am completely chill, text unfortunately lacks tone and intent gets muddy. Apologies if I came across as less than chill. I should have asked "Does BugDevil make changes in his head canon because he thinks it's morally wrong?". Would have come across as more relaxed conversation I imagine. Yeah undead in theory wouldn't blush, but I don't mind a story where undead do blush, since it's all fictional anyhow. I have no problem with people's head canons, it just seemed like a weird over-complicated justification to me. At the end of the day, they're cute, the art here is cute. It's all cute, so who really cares? That's all. My "udders" are perfectly cold as it's below freezing, have a nice day/night everyone :).
