True, true, true. I’m honestly glad she came out and said it. It’s definitely not ideal from a parent's perspective, and there are issues around potential grooming and the like, but a big upside….no accidental pregnancies…Also, the fact that she’s being open about this should help Misumi’s parents sort out their feelings once they recover from the shock.

There certainly is a lot more flesh to build upon…if you catch my drift. Yeah, we have quite a bit more the author can do here that isn’t just delaying the confession. I’d like to see them figure out being a couple, and more development of the side couple. They are clearly headed towards a more defined relationship. There’s still the cousin too. All in all, could still could have quite a few more chapters in this series.

Sooo I’m getting strong vibes that to two biggest contenders at this point are Kyouko and Sakura. Also, that Kyouko and Sakura have a very friendly rivalry going that could almost turn into a platonic/low romantic love. It’s probably not going to go poly, (I know, I know!) but IF it did, I’d totally be down for it if it was Kasumi x Kyouko x Sakura. The way Kyouko and Sakura are getting closer and sharing responsibility of treating and caring for Kasumi is just too sweet!

Omg, their communication is so nice and healthy! Love to see it! Love their choices for wedding attire too!

Mieruko-chan is great, after watching the anime I went and read the entire manga, but can I ask what that potential lead may be? Was it Hana's remark? the very fact that the new monster is seen as a beautiful girl by everyone else? or something else?
Although since chapter 39 marks the beginning of a new arc, I'll put it on hold for 20 or so more chapters before going back to it again.

Yeah, I’d say Hana’s remark when Miko pulls her away “Miko! I know how much you love me, but you can’t be getting all jealous the moment I start talking to a pretty girl.”, has the potential to go somewhere. Either way still a great series.

Man, that was a real roller coaster of emotions. I’m all for more dark and gritty Yuri! Bring it on!

This was cute, but the scene with the makeup really bothered me, probably more than it reasonably should. It feels like she's telling the OL to just paper over the signs of her problems, so she'll present a more pleasant outward appearance for others, without really caring about or addressing the underlying causes; a bit like a guy telling a girl to smile because it makes her look pretty.

Obviously, in this case, it was just one interaction in a string of interactions and there's no real way a random high school girl could do anything to meaningfully help an unrelated adult working at a black company, so maybe it was more about helping the OL feel good about herself despite the sleep deprivation.

I don't know. Something about the way things were worded just rubs me the wrong way.

I kinda get it, I initially had a similar reaction, but reading on, you get the feeling that it was just how the JK was trying to express her interest and concern for the OL in a way she knew how. Like how she can provide a comfortable and secure shoulder to get that extra sleep on the morning commute.

I hope Tanya makes sure she doesn't try to use a back scabbard, too. :V

Eh, back scabbards would make sense for her imo. The sword wouldn't swing around so much when running and wouldn't hit the ground when trying to crawl around etc. Scaling cliffs, climbing ladders, the like would also be easier.
And considering how ridiculously big her sword is it'd also distribute the weight better

It can be done. Most people "showing" that it's impossible try to draw using the hand on the same side the hilt is. It works fine if you do a cross-draw . . . just like you do with a sword at your side. This guy demonstrates:

I’m quite familiar with Shad’s work, however even Shad isn’t trying to draw a great sword from his back. The sword she is carrying is a tall as she is. No way she does that unless she’s using a highly specialized scabbard.

I mean, the technique shown in the video + a half scabbard would make drawing a great sword from your back plausible. Also, Shad's 2nd shabbard was for a short great sword which is about the longest type one could reasonably carry (long term that is) regardless of it's placement.

Her sword seems to be about a normal great sword length (i.e. taller than she is) so she definitely would be unable to carry that no matter what. Though in the novel illustrations it looks a bit shorter to me...
Then again, the fact that anyone's even able to wield that sledgehammer they call a sword tells us that logic is out the window so who cares how she carries it

I might point out that wrapping amour around breasts is still poor design.
Then again, I might not.

It’s not the worst boob armor I’ve seen in fantasy. If anything the shape isn’t the worst, but the fact that it only covers the breasts is problematic, since it would deflect blows right to where the armor doesn’t cover. The fact that she doesn’t have neck or head protection is bad, but can’t cover up the heroine’s face, right?

The heels are too tall though. A heel isn’t necessarily bad, but that’s just too much to be running around in while fighting.
