I feel kinda of weird that I'm having a lot of feelings about this meme about anime girl sex lmao, but like, it really has been a long fucking time. The first chapter here was uploaded in the last two days of 2018. It's been like, 3+ years since then, as I imagine other people have, I've been following this manga since the first chapter.

I've moved through life stages in that period of time. A whole pandemic hit us, lingered, and has now started to taper while this manga has been running and these two have been doing their thing. and I guess the fact that they've crossed a boundary line that we might never have expected this series to cross (it could have just stayed with emotionally horny teenagers combusting from making sustained eye contact) feels kinda... i dunno, profound. something about that, about a routine that you start to take for granted, and then a shift into new territory that you might have imagined but couldn't really have predicted... there's a reflection there, you know?

It's a time when things have felt pretty stagnant, and this post provides a sense of a long journey, taking years to get from point a to point b, and somehow that makes me think back on the past three years and realize that even though things have sort of seemed the same on a week to week or month to month basis, a lot really has changed.

i dunno. Maybe I'm overthinking it all. but I think there's something special about watching a work unfold chapter by chapter over the course of years. And I think that's pretty cool.
