It's just a random sound effect she makes to express surprise and curiosity.

Manga/anime girls often have signature strange noises they make in certain circumstances. Mao-chan from Rikujō Bōeitai used to make a peculiar AH-OOH-EH-OOH sound when she was distressed. And Maako from Burakku Gakkou goes "Poyo!" like all the fricking time, with variants according to mood -- for example, when she's sad she says "Sagepoyo!" It's just cute noises, there's nothing deep to it.

Nice misleader on pages 19-20.

Haha. I think the Japanese sound effect for large church-like bells is "don don don" (at least it was in Utena) so I'm not sure what would be the best translation... I guess "dong dong dong" is perhaps the most natural one?

Swap Swap trouble edition

Haha, I was thinking exactly that. The thing with the eye colors (and speech balloon colors) is a dead giveaway that the author has read Swap⇔Swap and loved the body swap idea.

And just like Swap⇔Swap this manhua is just fun fluff with no pretension to weighty content whatsoever! I kept laughing at how the author glosses over every serious issue that could bog down the easy flow of the story.

I'm the same. I liked the idea of a harem romance where the votes decide which girl did best every chapter, but if the fans of the most popular girl just steamroller the opposition every single time regardless of what actually happened in the chapter... then this is going to get boring fast.

This time, the princess won by a comfy margin. The witch did pretty well too, and at first I was going to say it was a draw -- but when the princess kissed the maou the reactions of the other four made very clear that they all felt outmatched and defeated. As for the maid, her performance was probably the weakest of the five. If the votes make her the winner I think I'm dropping this.

I love this series to bits.
