I don’t really see what you guys think mc did wrong here? Found out her idol was a real person with flaws and decided she preferred the ideal, barely being rude about it. Then that person tried to force their way into her life anyway so she panicked. Compared to “fan horror stories” I’ve heard celebs tell this doesn’t even rank.

That said the flaws aren’t all that severe so I see the plot developing more around how obviously turbo gay Sumika was for her immediately

Also, Kurumi had enough morals to give her away, Nika didn't want to give up Jun. Like comparing Kurumi and her friend, it's like Nika doesn't even deserve Kurumi either.

You'd think seeing your friend go through that time and again but still managing to stand back up would be motivating, but I guess not.

I'm sorry but I just don't understand this mindset. Everyone deserves love, no matter what (unless you're a serial killer or Hitler) but just because she hasn't even told Kurumi her feelings doesn't mean she hasn't been trying to deal with it internally. Yes, that is a mistake on her part, she's a highschooler who's ever only had a crush on her childhood friend, after all. She judged Nika too early, it's an easy thing to do with all the (true) rumors about Nika floating around.

Anyways, if she doesn't get Kurumi, I really hope she at least ends up with someone else or ends up finding someone else to love, bonus points if she acquires more courage from this also. I think Kurumi was only doing that because she truly felt she was holding back Nika, if I were her I would've felt the same way and probably would've told her the exact same thing. Plus, at the end, she's leaving it open for Nika to decide whether she'll stay or move on with Jun.

I do that all the time, and let me tell you, it's just super easy to do, that's why. Sometimes I unconsciously use it as a way to discourage my feelings, but alas, love always prevails. I'm assuming Kurumi feels the same way.

Back when I first read this I didn't really appreciate Ena for what she was. Re-reading this after re-reading Kimi Koi Limit makes me appreciate her much much more though

I probably have no right to say this but are you still in contact with her? If you are, I think it's best if you just say how you feel and stop talking to her altogether, since it's been that long. In the end I'm sure it'll hurt more, but it'll also last less. The first love is always the strongest though and if you don't take my advice, I still wish you luck on your journey.
