Well, I'm glad they stopped at pinkies. For a moment it looked like they were going to go all the way to handholding in ch.2!

Man, that was some of the most heavy-handed "subtext" I've ever seen.
Not that I'm complaining, it's fun. But it's to the point where I'm thinking "Oh, come on, you CANNOT be oblivious to what you just said there!"

Her being topless is a photoshop, but that image is from the chapter where she and Michiru do a photoshoot after school with Airi stripping down to her bra and the headmaster lady assumes that Airi is being bullied.

It is not a photoshop, it is from a later chapter, Chapter 47 to be exact.

This entire thing is odd because the reason the monsters attacked her at the start of the series was because she smelled so good and they wanted to eat her. Or was that all a lie that our cute fishwomen told us. Because if their blood is mixed and disgusting why would all of those things attack Hinako really then?

Well, the claim seems to be weirdly specific--that if a mermaid gives someone their blood, THAT MERMAID will find their scent foul. It would seem like it made more SENSE for the scent to just become foul in general, but that doesn't seem to be what anyone said. The blood seems to be more personal than that.

So was this all an elaborate excuse to have them wash each other in the bath? Incredible lol

Kafka is going to be like "No, go away" and then in somebody's unguarded moment she's going to find out about her beloved backing the girl up and she'll blow her top and they'll be on the outs until Shio-san grovels, plus starts to figure out why the whole thing bothered her more than she would expect it ought to.

Ai and Chie are so thirsty for each other it's not even funny anymore.

I took it to mean that just as onee chan loves freshly pounded mochi in a different way from more aged mochi, she is realizing she loves onee chan in a different way from friends/family.

This series was so cute with all the suggestive bullying. There was no foreshadowing to the evil wolves and this whole saving the world from some random wolves seems so contrived. I'm so sorry but the story was better when it didn't take itself too seriously. Well, anyway the main couple is still cute.

I really don't see how it matters in this case anyway. Very little about plot or character changes depending on whether she actually makes lip contact or leans in with incredibly obvious intent and comes within a millimeter. Either way, we suddenly go from:
Person A in love, had confession that was avoided, person B unknown but avoiding romance-related issues
to:
Mutual Feelings

How this can be considered nothing happening is beyond me.

You know, MahiMahi really have life whipped. They're like, really happy. Pretty much all the time. I consider myself a pretty smart guy. And I have devoted a good deal of my brainpower to arranging to be happy. And I've succeeded pretty well; I've figured out what I really want, and I've arranged to get most of it (and lucked out some) and remembered to appreciate it once I've got it rather than always be looking for the next thing. If being happy is a skill, I have become pretty good at it.

But even so I'm not as happy as they are. They're like Taoist sages or something, "uncarved blocks" that achieve perfection naturally by being part of the natural flow.

I love watching those two. Incidentally, as usual it may be worth noting that when she said "I love it!" it is likely the original Japanese had no referent--I suspect she just said "Suki!" which would be ambiguous--could as easily refer to, say, the other Mahi in front of her. This ambiguity of just what someone saying "Suki" is talking about is played with often in manga and I'm going to pretend to myself that that's what's happening here.

That was one of the funnier Cinderella spoofs I've read.

What Koto needs is god damn therapy, she's depressed as fck and no amount of "friendship magic" will fix that.

Well, I do think having some "friendship magic" is going to be better for depression than not having any. But it's not going to magically make everything OK. Neither is therapy.

I'm not sure we're supposed to understand just what's so sensual about those words. Mask has unusual and powerful aesthetic sensibilities and some of them are about language. That other girl is compelled to try personifying almost any object or concept as something that could experience BL, Mask has reactions to certain words.
