It's not like limited POV is that rare in yuri manga, but keeping the thoughts of a quiet and aloof girl like Sumie obscured creates an uneasy mood. The reader sees tiny glimpses of her memories but those too are presented without any commentary from her. (And I think this is cool, to be clear.)

But seriously, that is a similarity. The Blue Star "camera" mostly follows Umi, though sometimes Shou and occasionally others, but the Blue Star "thought stream" is only Umi. Which can create an uneasy mood, because just like Umi, we don't know (not directly) why Shou (or anyone else, but Shou's the main one and quiet and aloof) is doing something.

I was struck by how much the art style looks like Clandestine Affair. The latter has a more engaging story though. But I'll see where this goes.

Hi everyone! I'd like to apologize once again for the long delay between translation releases. I don't want to make any promises I can't keep, but I can at least say that Chapter 8 is already translated and is currently being typeset, so it should follow shortly after this release. My plan after that is to try and finish the rest of Volume 2 by around the end of the year, but that all depends on how busy things get for me. I still want to see this project through to the end, with the goal of making this the definitive, most high-quality translation there is for this series. Thanks for sticking around for so long!

It wasn't an exciting chapter, but it felt more substantial than another round of "Yuzu and Mei have no actual chemistry".

The novel at least refers to experiencing the 8 AM subway rush. Also, she's never dated anyone before Elsa. Implication of having had a part-time job, because her family was poor.

I'm pretty sure Yvonne made it into high school, I'm a lot less sure if she made it out.

I think Yvonne is treating herself as older, because of the isekai. But it's not very convincing since she hardly ever thinks of her past life outside of being a beta tester for the game, and there's no clear sense of when or how she died, so it feels like a rather artificial concern to us. Worrying about age gap would have made a lot of sense for Rei Oohashi/Taylor, who was probably upwards of 25 when she died, with full (and frequently referenced) memory of her past life, so a clear 10 years on Claire.

I do think it's reasonable for "don't show your genitals to a non-lover" to be considered common sense. Like yeah there are exceptions for doctors and such, but Makino blowing up is not crazy, even if how she expressed it was Bad.
