Mods ... shouldn't this technically have Rina x Setsuna tag? Without Yuri, of course.

It's pretty much stalled out. I've still got the doujs, but I've yet to TL them and I haven't talked with the cleaner/TSer in over a year at this point.

Well, how about now? Sorry, just discovered this and want to see how it progresses.

@YotoHime - Well I just finished skimming through all of his stuff on Danbooru. There's definitely some of this gross stuff there, and I completely understand how you feel. It's offputting to see characters that you might feel a connection to subjected to casual creep molestation. Nonetheless, there wasn't that much of it. Clearly this guy doesn't mind using his characters to occasionally indulge in fetishes which you and I find repugnant yet some people (strangely) enjoy. But I don't know that it's necessarily correct to conclude that he mocks yuri - the guy seems to put a lot of care into his art for someone just trying to troll yuri fans. I'd certainly be willing to change my mind on that if some of the yuri panel art translations contained similarly affronting language. Right now it seems to me this guy's tastes are ... well, let's just say "complex". I don't find that it keeps me from enjoying the purely yuri art, though. Your valid point about Vampeerz notwithstanding, I'm respectfully inclined to side with @Lilliwyt on this.

@Pingoloco - I'd be careful about calling someone "lesbophobic" and "malicious" based on adult art. Firstly, there's always a distinction between the artist and the objects of the art - "characters" (admittedly a generous term here) don't necessarily reflect the views of their creators. (Assumptions like that are currently having a ruinous effect on YA fiction, for example.) Also, one always has to be careful when it comes to sexual fantasy - there's a distinction between ideas that turn people on and what they find acceptable in real life. For example, someone who enjoys "rough" play or "nonconsent" fantasies (which, surprisingly, often appeal to women) isn't generally someone who endorses actual rape. When one sees upsetting art, particularly in a sexual context, it's easy to feel like it's intentional, but even the most obnoxious people will only labor so hard just to piss people off. More likely he's just catering to a controversial niche.

Ummmm before we go completely destroying this guy, @YotoHime, are you sure that example comes from Ohisashiburi himself? I'm exploring his pixiv and the links from that and I don't see anything like this. Can you provide a link to some location associated with him specifically that contains this (undeniably offensive) art?

The whole mandatory pleasure denial aspect is still a nuisance though. "Noo, stop" ^^

Yeah that always feels weird. I think that there may be cultural context being missed. Presumably if we could hear the tone we could tell it would be one of those 'saying something that means the opposite of it's literal meaning' sort of things.

I've heard that it's actually common for words to start to mean the opposite of what their original definition was. Presumably it isn't always so unfortunate in it's contrast though.

I think this is simply a matter of the conservative and reserved nature of Japanese culture. It's of a piece with the frequent embarrassment at compliments, saying "that's not fair" in response to romantic forwardness, calling someome a "bully" in response to mild sexual teasing, not wanting your sexual panting to be audible, etc. It seems to be seen as something of a humiliation to express sexual enjoyment with complete abandon - something entirely natural (generally) to Western sensibilities.

You will no doubt be shocked, as I was, to find that "Coreopsis Floats On The Water's Surface" is the site's very first entry in the "Wholesome Tailsex" genre.

It's going to catch on, though. I can feel it.

Kishi is the absolute best manga artist I've ever encountered. The overwhelming majority of manga art involves nearly indistinguishable faces; the way they employ face shape, forehead size, eyebrow shape, and other subtle aspects of facial appearance to create a unique visual experience for each character is truly inspiring. It almost ruins other manga for me.

I mean, Chie is just the most impossibly cute character I've ever seen in a manga - I don't know how they've done it.

Hi. Unfortunately, emoji are not supported. The preview issue you mention is a bit hard to explain, but it's not a sign of abnormality. In lieu of emoji, plaintext and embedded images are totally fine. Sorry for the inconvenience.

S'ok, thanks for the reply!

Oddly, when I hit the back button to get back to the edit window and tried to preview my post instead of submitting it, it told me it detected my post as spam (which may have been because it was identical to the previous post - but that's a strange thing to tell me at the preview window). At any rate, the emoticons showed up just fine in the preview window, so it's weird how they caused a problem in the actual post.

Seriously, am I the only one wondering what Ai's problem is lately? This is supposed to be the developed relationship ... the one that began so looong ago with all that boob-fondling and nipple-flashing. Why does she seem to be getting more bashful about everything lately?

to be fair to her the tone of the series has changed somewhat in that time. which is kind of a meta point i guess but hey.

I will acknowledge that some of the earlier boob fixation did feel a bit gratuitous at times. I mean, I can be a shameless perv when I want to, but getting to know these characters over so many chapters does make it feel like some of those earlier scenes kind of jumped the gun a bit. Being realistic matters when you care about the story.

But by the same token - these are teenagers for heaven's sake! They're supposed to be full of raging hormones. Ai has daydreamed about going to America and marrying Chie, so it's not like she's in denial. So tell me how it is that your cute-as-hell girlfriend tells you - in your bedroom, no less - she wants to go further with you and you freak out and say "_of course_ it's not okay!" I can tell you this certainly wouldn't have been my reaction at that age!

Are they really this old-fashioned in Japan? If so, well ... I suppose that's actually kind of adorable in its own way. But my modern American sensibilities demand more! I can't take all this teasing!! I need the good stuff!!!

OK, I'll stop now.

Mental telepathic projection to Kishi -san.

NEEDS MOAR KANADE X HARUKA!

This. YES. I love these two so much. Kanae was always the odd person out in the original group of seven friends, so it's gratifying to see her in a couple.

And plus, in the earlier chapters Kanae was kind of a spaz - very insecure and immature on the inside. Getting accepted into the group helped her a lot, but it's been her relationship with Haruka that's really transformed her. It's so cute how she first saw Haruka as this unattainable ideal, and yet now Haruka is just head over heels in love with her. It's made Kanae more focused and self assured, and now she shines instead of being this anxious basket case.

It's like - The Pygmalion Effect!!!

If not chubby tag, this needs something to denote the thicc-ness. Life's too short not to filter images.

Nine chubbys. More. Now.

@FoxPaw: It's all relative. Look at the tummy, butt, and upper thigh. Think "thicc", not obese.

Oh no, thanks for the tip, actually. I didn't even notice there was an advanced search; it might help if there was an explicit link to it on the banner rather than just having to find it after using the search bar. But thank you, I will use that in the future.

When I blacklist certain tags, like Lolicon, things with that tag still show up in listings for other tags. What exactly does this affect?
