Also the two page spread of Iro in the field is stunning, followed closely by Aino laying in them motionless. And the cute dream outfits... really this chapter was just killing it on the visuals

That's how these authors capture our hearts, they create something so beautifully wholesome, filled with yuri, only to later hint at a tragic ending. It leaves you crying for hours, just like The Summer You Were There. These Clever authors, indeed. TvT

Crazy, I like it. It seems the innocent girl (Renna?) Got some mental disease, probably she was the one who killed Rose-sama. For those who like this kind of story, mind-set/romance/drama/psychology trivia, I HIGHLY recommend Psycho manhwa, it is yaoi, but one of the best psychological stories I ever seen.

There’s also the webtoon/manhwa Pyramid Game, which was recently adapted into a drama. If you're interested in reading the webtoon, I’d recommend starting there before watching the drama. Both Black Black Lotus and Pyramid Game share similar themes and aspects. Each series features a website/app system that drives the plot and plays a central role in the story. Both explore dark and twisted psychological themes, with classmates and friends teaming up to challenge the system. Additionally, both include a notable amount of yuri elements.

This series has been translated up to chapter 13 on Bato Manga. The translation seems pretty good, though I’m not sure which scan group is responsible :).

I think the dynamic involving the 'futa' aspect between these two is an interesting touch, not just in this one-shot but in general. Their intense competitiveness creates a love-hate relationship, which makes it easier to show who's more dominant in their rivalry. However, I find the versions without the 'futa' aspect more compelling. They feel more balanced since their personalities drive the story rather than assigned roles dividing them. Maybe I’m overthinking it, but I love any type of Mayakuro work that’s made so this was an enjoyable read. (^v^)

The story was both interesting and funny. I don’t think it’s meant to be taken too seriously, just a manga to enjoy and laugh at because the concept is so amusing and absurd to think about.

I feel like they were half-joking, given the type of language and the purposeful amount of words. Was a fun read.

Definitely possible, text and tone is difficult and maybe I read their message the wrong way. Either way it was overwhelming in my opinion. Also I do know that some people really hate this author and their other works. 100 Days and There's No Way are series I tried but I couldn't get into them personally, so I moved on. Regardless I don't understand some of the hate I've seen online, and with this new work I'm open to giving it a fair chance.

While Teren Mikami's previous works have indeed been controversial, which explains the understandable hate, it feels premature to harshly judge this new work based solely on its first chapter. That said, I’m not excusing their past writing choices, as I can see why some readers might approach any of their works old or new with skepticism. Disheartened expectations are difficult to rebuild. In the end, To each their own.
