Or Alice doesn't have anything to be sorry for, she is just a little guy wanting to play dolls
The one who is definitelly not sorry is Tanda/Bersega

I mean, yeah. There's something there.

But at the same time this whole "the alien is just a highschool girl from another outer space and otherwise basically human with a silly name and dealing with the typical human highschool problems" feels somewhat trite at this point; and like one of those anime tropes you've seen a billion times. Maybe I just got a grumpy day, but I wished it was a bit ... more.

But then again... How many of those are yuri? For years, decades at this point, I have wished more common het anime plots to get an explicit yuri version or more than a version, or well a perspective of a romance between girls in that setting, so I am very thankful that we are here to witness it.

This continues to be cute and entertaining, but I've also realized two things:

First, unlike a lot of the more traditional wifu-from-space rom-coms, Lulu is actually considerate of the people around her. Normally, at least the first alien is some combination of fairly arrogant and fairly headstrong. In particular, they very rarely leave the protagonist much say in their relationship or where they'll be living. By contrast, Lulu seems very empathetic with the people around her, even beyond Ten, and we see her actively considering the inconvenience and potential trouble she's caused Ten.

I almost forgot that I wanted to add what your comment made me realize-- I think there will be more importance to the whole Observer and Observed philosophy that Lulu presented in the first chapter, as you said, USUALLY in the popular rom-coms with space love interests they tend to be more... airheaded, or happy-go-lucky while here Lulu is-- very realistic in that she knows she is an outsider and the impressions she makes are important for the exchange as they can create versions of her species that she doesn't wish to happen.

Anyways, in other news:
I wanna be carried by a pretty alien girl

ya idk, her chest is so distracting and not in a good way, they look like they hurt to carry around. like it gets to a point, i get that she’s mega tall but they still look unproportional, also her clothes…. but i do love the art style a lot

To be fair... She is an Alien, so her design doesn't have to totally make sense for human anatomy.

I have to say this... The fact she is exactly the perfect height to have those big aliens boobs as a pillow amuses me a lot. That aside, Lulu is gorgeous... guess I am gonna be staring at the sky more often if I want an alien bride.

@FoxPaw Yes, as Fluffy says, there are toxic elements in the characters, but in my opinion they are just showcasing imperfect people, good vs bad ending showcase the scenario of whether the character can overcome those bad traits, so that's what I find fascinating about it.

Why is it always futanari with these two, not that i mind in the slightest but i got curious because many of the doujins are futa.

Eh, it's around 10 works in 6 pages, but I think is the very dominant personalities and I have noticed a trend of Futa going up in actual romantic works instead of just staying in the usual over the top hentai. And from convos with friends in Japan it seems that artists just find it more fun to draw than sex toys.

Ffs media literacy is dead.

This hurt my heart. I am so very sad over this.

Also at this point this person in the forums might be having a bad day to choose to have this sort of fight in a yuri forum. LMAO.

Are you just dumb?
Do you not understand the basic concept of "If you assume a thing about someone exclusively because of their gender status as a man, not because there are any facts supporting the assumption, that is misandry."?

Oh name-calling, very telling about your person. Whatever I will ignore that as well as accept the concession from you then. I can tell you don't even know the origin of 'misandry' or by who started to spread it. I don't even know who you are fighting for, a dumbass prince in a yuri manga or for yourself. If it's for yourself, then buddy, I don't care that much about you to even attack you no matter your gender, go take a walk.

friend, i know you think you're rolling with the punches but you're actually just making yourself look more foolish. maybe take a minute to reflect why everyone is disagreeing with you. here's a hint, it has nothing to do with the specific details of the characters' actions in this fantasy story.

Truly, the biggest hint is in this last chapter, where Serina's image of the Prince is shattered during this moment, which actually signifies her deeper understanding that these are not the same characters she thought she knew from the game. Another moment is when Almelia's characterization, which she knew as someone whose pride was too big to ever apologize, also breaks.

Trying to pretend misandry isn't real.
lol

Can you think of examples where so called misandry has shaped laws, institutions, or systemic practices in a way that disadvantages men? Do not include the ones that are born from patriarchal ideals and toxic masculinity, but purely from believing men are less than women. I am gonna wait.

So much misandry in here, sheesh.

The character is garbage for their behavior, not because of his gender. Happier now? :D

The mental gymnastics you guys are doing trying to paint Nanase as the bad guy and Fuuko as the savior is crazy.

You are giving the author way too much credit. Everything fell off a cliff once the cheating got out. Nanase for some bs reason can't give up on Yuni ( like the good cuck she is to keep the story going)

There’s a difference (a key one to my mind) between “discussing characterization” and “painting imaginary people as good guys or bad guys.”

The “some reason” Nanase can’t give up on Yuni is, as has just been explained at length, her sense of ownership. She’s not particularly invested in what Yuni needs or wants, she just objects to someone “stealing” something she thinks of as “hers.” Everyone is free to decide if that makes Nanase “a bad person” or not, but that moral judgment is irrelevant to how she functions as part of the story.

I feel there is also a sense of competition, she refuses to lose even if it means ignoring her feelings for Yuki. In the last chapter, she looked at Yuki first but then went to Yuni, her reasoning 'Refusing to lose'

Haven't you guys read Villainess manhwa and manga? They can be incredibly manipulative and charismatic, they can be socialites and seduce everyone around them. Villaianesses can be versatile... And do not forget, the Villain or Hero, in the eye of the beholder, what does it define it?

No, thank you for speaking up. There really is a crisis going on because of misogyny and highlighting that doesn't negate the other forms of bigotry that also exist. One might also point out that a lot of intra-gender bullying also comes from misogyny, women not performing femininity the right way, men bullying men for being too feminine, etc.

Yes, I had that at the back of my mind while writing it but didn't want to overwhelm anyone with a huge speech or so, but I am glad someone else put it on the table too. Either way, I hope we all can enjoy the trend while educating ourselves a bit more.

From what I hear, Korea is straight-up in a gender war?

You can learn more about it here https://x.com/vryjkof/status/1789382955560837538
I am sorry for bringing such sad reality as topic here, but the ignorance bothered me as I have close friends living with such realities from Asian countries.

I do love the trend and the artists participating!
