Ohhhh, HERE'S the actual love interest. Ren's an ex, and Chen's just a touchy friend. CaiCai's mom has a crush on Youzi's mom, or they're tentatively dating.

Oh god, I was kind of shipping CaiCai and lil' Youzi based on chapter 2, So I guess I hope that doesn't happen if they end up as sisters in law lmao

I don't think Mizuki's sexuality is important in this context. Clearly what she takes issue on is the fact that Tsuzuki doesn't treat love as seriously as she does. That seems to be her main dilemma rather than being gay or what.

Is it love that Mizuki takes that seriously, or just the concept of weddings? She seems much more invested in setting up the weddings of others, but almost completely indifferent to her own. Like sure she's overwhelmed by what Tsuzuki is doing because she doesn't know what Tsuzuki's doing. But is she taking issue with Tsuzuki's approach to romance, or to her inserting her triad into Mizuki's ideas about what a wedding should look like.

Because that's what we know for certain Mizuki cares deeply about, giving people a perfect wedding.

The mom and auntie Ren definitely come across as exes, it seems like they on relatively good terms though which is nice.

They're also clearly flashing back to their history together when they're singing on stage together. The romantic overtones are pretty strong there.

Good catch, I think it shows their break up, they're together at college at the start and towards the end they're doing separate things with their backs turned to each other. Maybe both of their careers got in the way?

I wonder how auntie Chen fits into all of this though, is she really just a good friend that hams it up for the public? Or is there maybe something more happening that mom hasn't told lil' Youzi about yet?

We're gonna need a chapter of Ren and Chen interacting to see if there's any jealousy.

ATLA had more episodes in total and per season which gave it more room for character driven filler and even though it got cancelled early*, it still didn't have to live in fear of not getting renewed for multiple seasons like Korra.

TLoK has a lot of flaws, and Korra and Asami don't really have enough screen time, but the shows does what it needs to get its points across, even if it has to stoop to subtext to get there.

And as much as TLoK failed, it did succeed in breaking the barrier for wlw couples in western children's animation. We got a lot of kisses out of most if not all subsequent shows.

*the biggest result of this is azula missing her redemption and getting dumped in the trash with all her flaws blamed on mental illness. Easily the weakest part of the show, it tarnishes Zuko's arc as well by softening their abusive upbringing.

I still have no idea which characters they're supposed to be. The one on the right has Saurons shoulder and helmet spikes, but the black robes and sword are more nazghul. The one on the left has a similar eye covering as the mouth of sauron, but the mouth didn't wear armour.

Both match the style of the movies perfectly, but neither of them seems to match any one character very well.

Edit: Still can't tell what happened to MC's back. It does seem to suggest that she cut her own wings (along with her partner's?), or maybe those are scars and MC's wings were cut before? Weird stuff.

It's weird, she doesn't seem to have anything back there in the bath scene in chapter one so it has to be recent. And all the talk of "being normal" implies that she isn't in some way, which supports the theory of cutting her own wings. But on the other hand the art seems to imply its due to the angel's nails breaking the skin?

Also would this story qualify for the not lizard tag? Or is that too spoilery? ;)

That's true, but on the other hand the trick to getting back into a good condition is doing things and Neeko had been refusing to do anything. The mom took it several steps step too far, but forcing neeko to do things isn't necessarily bad.

It's a scarcity thing, before brigite D.Va was a lot younger than all the other characters and most of the other young women like tracer were already paired off in more popular ships.

They certainly still have their top/bottom attitudes, but regarding their activities, those are certainly less BDSM. Think about the start of the manga: band-aids on the nipples, shaving pubes, no underwear in public places, spanking. There what's a whole lot of super kinky stuff that now is certainly missing. I love how they are opening up and, in a certain way communicating more, but I miss a bit that kinky stuff.

While I really like the comedy of a top that prematurely ends scenes whenever she catches feelings for her partner so as they get closer their scenes get shorter/tamer. I can agree that it's sad that their content is losing some of its excitement. I'm also kind of worried that we're never gonna get a complete look at them doing a scene as fully functional couple since that would probably go too far for this manga.

Like maybe at the end we'll get to see a glimpse of them doing something kinky at Chie and Ai's wedding, but probably not much more?

Also yes, Nononon deserves the world, I hope Yumimi gives it to her.
