^^^The relationship between Merrill and Isabela was more akin to an older sister, younger sister type of relationship. There wasn’t really anything romantic there. You could have a threesome with Zevran (from Dragon Age Origins) and Isabela if you made the right choices though.

Merrill deserves all the love she can get. It's just that the Arishok duel for Isabella was so romantic that I prefer her over Merrill.
(Yes I know the duel can still take place even if you're not romancing Isabella but having her as your lover makes the duel much better and personal)

My first time playing DA2, I accidentally hate-slept with Merrill, right after the romance I had actually been pursuing fell through. It felt very strange. But also gay, so I took it.
